Beschreibung
We are organic farmers passionate about working with the land in a sustainable and regenerative way. The environment, creativity and conscious living are at the heart of all of our endeavours.
This is an ancient Slavic word which means 'one who heals', and on the farm we try to live up to this name. The Farm is situated on 50 acres of beautiful land in Central Slovenia, overlooking the Savinjske Alps. On the farm we have a greenhouse, polytunnel, orchard and various fields and herb gardens for cultivation. Since we came over 15 years ago, we have slowly worked with the land to create a sustainable growing system, following permaculture principles.
We are looking for kind and open people to join us and help continue to grow. Since 2012, we've had numerous people come and help shape it into what it is today.
About:
It manifested from a dream. With the amazing support of Nature (not to mention being completely out of our comfort zone), we trusted and started the search. And the land found us, literally.
There are 23 hectares of pristine land. We immediately felt at home, welcomed and charmed by its beauty. Our adventure started. We became custodians of this amazing land. And in between our daily jobs back in the UK, we’ve spent the last decade observing the land, learning and understanding how to implement the knowledge of permaculture and biodynamics.
It is our vision that we will be a self-sufficient and sustainable centre of learning. Learning and working with the land, rather than straining and depleting. Soon we will have sufficient solar-panels to meet all of our electricity needs. The newer buildings are built to low energy and passiv haus building standards, with wood burning stoves and clay ovens to keep them snug in the winter months. We recycle everything, and our intention is to be free of single-use plastics in the very near future.
We so recognise the incredible power of Nature to heal the deepest of wounds, and for years it has already been a sanctuary to friends and family, a place where people have come to decompress, rejuvenate and gain insight. Over the years we have slowly added to create what it has become today – a beautiful farm and retreat centre for people to connect with Nature, to find a sense of play through creativity, and to learn, heal and evolve from being in this nurturing and inspiring environment.
We have established it to provide an environment for people to visit, and stimulate learning about art, health, spiritual development and the environment. Being a retreat centre, we host practitioners and participants to dive into their chosen area, and we see our role as a space to facilitate these experiences. We have established a purpose built retreat centre for courses, seminars and events. Alongside this we have a natural swimming pool, yoga studio (and equipment), and a wood powered sauna. Retreat guests stay in our purpose built retreat centre and as a part of this package we provide 3 meals a day.
Team:
We have a small and wonderful team, which is made up of full-time staff and Workawayers. As a part-time Workawayer, we'll be looking for you to either contribute to maintaining the land (growing, weeding, harvesting), and/or assisting with the retreats we host (cooking, cleaning, running Cafe). We are passionate about the quality of food provided to staff and visitors, produced from our own fields and greenhouse.

Arbeit
We’re looking for conscious individuals who would like to live and work with us on the farm as a part of the team. In return, we would provide the minimum Slovenian monthly wage (or hourly equivalent) for all tasks and hours worked, and accommodation (you may have to share a room with another Workawayer, but there will be no more than 2 people per room). Food is also provided, we will stock the fridge in the farm house for you to make your own breakfast and dinner, and there is normally a team lunch provided every day. All work stays will depend upon the visitor having the appropriate visa requirements.
At the moment, we are looking for help with the cultivation of organic food for staff, visitors and course participants, but there is also an option to assist with maintenance of the retreats.

We can host certain animals, but we ask you check with us beforehand. As we host retreats, it's important that we maintain a calm and restful environment for everyone here. We currently have 2 dogs living here, as well as a few cats.
