  Part of a very lively, cultural and artistic archipelago.
  One hour sail on the ferry boat to reach our 360° ocean view paradise.
  Lovely community of nearly 60 people with an impressive history and cultural heritage.
  No asphalt, poor old little roads. Great livingstyle for the ones who love walking.
  1/3 of the Island is a community pasture.
  Absolute quietness rocked by the winds
  
  Few services ; convignence store, post office, CLSC (Health care), Ferry boat (transport to main islands twice a day)
  
  Needs:
  
  - Vitality and youth : average age is nearly 65 years old
  - Project leaders related to Farming, fishing, community, artistic/cutlural, tourism, housing or wathever could be exported or realized virtually.
  - Involvement is requiered to maintain essentials services and keep the island alive.
  - Passionated people to promote and embrace this exceptionnal way of life.
  - Young families and children, despite that the school closed in 2014.
  - Friendly people contributing to the community life.
  - Resilient and self-sufficient lovers.

  L'île la plus isolée, mais la plus paisible que l'on puisse trouver dans l'est du Canada.
  Fait partie de l'archipel très vivant, culturel et artistique des Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
  Une heure de navigation sur le traversier pour atteindre notre paradis avec vue sur l'océan à 360°.
  Belle communauté de près de 60 personnes avec une histoire et un patrimoine culturel exceptionnel.
  Pas d'asphalte, de pauvres vieilles petites routes. Excellent style de vie pour ceux qui aiment marcher.
  1/3 de l'île est un pâturage communautaire.
  Un calme absolu bercé par les vents.
  Communauté anglophone.
  
  Quelques services ; dépanneur, bureau de poste, CLSC (Soins de santé), Traversier (transport vers les îles principales deux fois par jour)
  
  Besoins:
  
  - Vitalité et jeunesse : l'âge moyen est de près de 65 ans
  - Des porteurs de projets liés à l'agriculture, à la pêche, à la vie communautaire, à l'art/culturel, au tourisme, à l'habitation ou autre domaine pouvant être exportés ou réalisés virtuellement.
  - Une implication est nécessaire pour maintenir les services essentiels et maintenir l'île en vie.
  - Des passionnés pour promouvoir et adopter ce mode de vie exceptionnel.
  - Jeunes familles et enfants, malgré la fermeture de l'école en 2014.
  - Des gens sympathiques contribuant à la vie communautaire.
  - Adeptes de la résilience et du savoir-faire.

  Arbeit

  At this point the help requested is to house sit a house which is usually used in the summer to hosts the worker of our coffee shop. Meanwhile, this opportunity to be hosted on the Island is a occasion to find its own way here, and being involved in its own personnal matter.
  
  What the island needs, is people to stay here short and long term, and to keep the houses warm and lively. And this is what we need as help because people are not suddenly passing by this far away little paradise when summer is gone.

  A small house with one bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom.
  270° view over sea and on the other islands.
  5 min. walk from the famous big hill, the main summer attraction of the island.
  10 min. walk from the wharf.
  Surrounded by walloons and sea ; bring binoculars to enjoy bird diving and so you may reconize some boats withing time.
