  I'm Salome from mountains of Georgia. I've been traveling on bicycle around Asia for more than a year together with my boyfriend Armin, from Switzerland.
  
  In March of this year, we had to leave Thailand suddenly due to an unexpected change in my family.
  
  Our bicycle trip has paused but journey continues here in the small remote village of Svaneti as we're trying to support my family and planning to do some things around the house, such as: planting veggies, building chicken house, dismantling old barn and some small things.
  
  We've been hosted and are hosting travellers on various platforms. We love meeting other travellers and sharing different experiences and perspectives on travel and lifestyle. We want to keep doing what we like while staying at the place and getting work done.
  
  So I decided to host on WorkAway too.
  
  My house is located in the "center" of the long valley, surrounded by mountains covered with forest.
  
  Me and my boyfriend are living here with my mother. Both of my sisters are living in the city and sometimes they're visiting us too.
  House gets quite busy many times as relatives and friends are visiting our family during the week.
  
  We're happy for any kind of volunteering help in the garden or house and we'll try our best to give you good hosting experience.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  I'm looking forward to learn from Workawayers all the different ways of solutions for work connected tasks, travels and life.
  
  We can tell you a lot about customs and life of the people here in the mountains, share some cooking recipes and skills to construct simple building.
  
  There is not lot of social activities in the valley though sometimes we have gatherings for traditional celebrations or dinners in remembering our relatives and friends who passed away (this is a big part of local customs and lifestyle), so Workaway guest can join for any gathering our family will be included in.
  
  Armin is really into the hiking (I'm still a bit tired and lazy for that right now) so with him you could go for hiking, and I may join sometimes too.

  Arbeit

  Planting veggies:
  
  Gardening in our family is not anything special, we're doing it in the traditional way and it's very similar to what others do in the valley.
  Mainly my mother is deciding what to plant and where to, so if you'd be helping in the garden your duty would be to help with digging a hole and putting seeds or plants into the soil, weeding, watering and so on. Mom loves to learn and is ready for experiments, so if you have any knowledge or ideas to share, she will be happy to try the new ways of gardening. Other way around, she'd like to answer any of your questions (She doesn't speak English but I'll be there to translate:)
  
  
  Building chicken house:
  That's my idea but I just rely on my boyfriend's skills as Armin is really good in constructing and building things. So if you'd be helping to build a chicken coop - me and you might be assisting Armin to create wooden construction and getting things ready for work. Or maybe you have good skills to create house for chickens with the available materials, so we will be assisting you to lead the project.
  
  
  Dismantling old barn:
  This is maybe one of the biggest project for now, we'll may ask our friends to help. You can may help to carry the wood to store or cut is for the fire.
  
  Cleaning the house or cooking:
  In case you'd feel more comfortable to cook or help with cleaning while we'll be working more in the garden you can do that, but keep in mind my mother is many times baking in the kitchen as she is taking orders for cakes and sink is always full of dishes (though we have dishwasher).

  I'd be interested to learn some Russian, I can read and write as I had Russian lessons at school but I just can understand basic conversation.

  Unterkunft

  Workawayer will have shared room (or can sleep in the living room on his/her own choice. We have one shared bathroom.
  
  Food will be provided. We're eating dairy and meat, so if guest is vegetarian or vegan they have to inform us and be ready to organise products sometimes for themselves until our garden has fruits and veggies.
