  Hi, we are Chris & Eso 👋
  
  We are based in Zagreb, Croatia, and currently spending our time working on our beautiful property in Bosnia, near Bihać, surrounded by forest and nature.
  
  Our property is around 4,000 m², with a private chalet and direct access to a beautiful little stream. We are constantly working on improving and developing the place, always trying to create something special while keeping it natural, authentic and connected to its surroundings.
  
  🌲 Our current project
  
  We are looking for two volunteers to join us for a hands-on project: building a small wooden cabin from logs on our property.
  
  This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with wood, being outdoors and creating something with their hands.
  
  For this particular project, you should:
  
  * be reasonably physically fit and comfortable with manual work
  * have some basic knowledge of construction or woodworking
  * enjoy working outdoors and with natural materials
  
  We have extensive experience working with wood ourselves, and one of us will be working alongside you throughout the project, guiding and helping you along the way.
  
  The project is not extremely difficult, but it is hands-on and physically active, so it is important that you genuinely enjoy this kind of work.
  
  We are looking for two people who would enjoy being part of the process, learning something new, working together and seeing a real project take shape from the first log to the finished little cabin. 🌲🪵
  
  And of course, when the work is done, there is plenty of nature to enjoy, good food, conversation and the peaceful surroundings of our place in Bosnia. 🌿

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Bihać and Bosnia & Herzegovina are a fascinating place where East and West meet, and centuries of different cultures, traditions and influences can still be seen and felt around you. The area has a rich and diverse history, with Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Slavic influences woven into everyday life.
  
  We will be happy to take you around and show you some of the most beautiful places in the area, from rivers, waterfalls and forests to local spots that you might not discover on your own.
  
  For us, cultural exchange is also about sharing everyday life. We enjoy cooking, having long conversations, discovering different perspectives and sharing our own experiences from living and working in different places and environments.
  
  We have travelled quite a lot ourselves and genuinely enjoy meeting people from different countries, hearing their stories and learning how they see the world. We hope you will feel comfortable sharing your own culture, experiences, food, music and ideas with us as well.
  
  In short, we hope this will be more than simply helping with a building project — an opportunity to experience a little of Bosnia, spend time in nature, meet new people, learn something practical and share experiences along the way. 🌿

• 

  Arbeit

  The work will involve different stages of building the small log cabin, including sorting and preparing the logs according to their size and purpose, measuring and marking, cutting and shaping the wood, preparing joints and connections, and positioning and stacking the logs as the structure takes shape.
  
  You will be working according to clear instructions and a planned process, so you will not be expected to figure out on your own what needs to be done or how something should be built. One of us will be working alongside you, explaining each step, helping with the more technical parts and making sure everything is done safely and correctly.
  
  Depending on your skills and experience, there may also be work involving basic woodworking tools , preparing smaller wooden elements, moving and positioning logs, and helping with general construction tasks around the cabin.
  
  We welcome people who are curious, practical and interested in learning. If you have an idea for a better, easier or more creative way of doing something, we are always happy to hear it and discuss it together. We see this as a collaborative project, rather than simply following instructions, and we would love for you to feel that you are genuinely contributing to something we are creating together.

  You will stay on the ground floor of our chalet, in a spacious room with two separate beds and a fireplace for heating, as well as your own bathroom.
  
  There is also an additional separate room available, where you can arrange a bed if you would prefer to have complete privacy and your own space during your stay.
