We have a family property, located in Gironde near Bordeaux.
My name is Caroline and I'm 60. I live with my husband, Pierre 78 and my mother Bina 88, and our two doggies and horses.
A park with century old trees surrounds the houses, and 50 ha of a pine trees forest.
There is always maintenance work on the property and the forest, the vegetable garden throughout the year.
I practise yoga. I spend time with my horses.
Pierre has lots of building skills and DIY skills.

Je suis Caroline 60 ans, je vis avec mon mari Pierre 78 ans et ma mère Bina 88 ans, et nos 2 chiens et quelques chevaux.
Un parc avec des arbres centenaires qui entourent les maisons, ainsi que 50 hectares de forêt de pins .
Il y a toujours du travail d'entretien de la propriété, de la forêt et du potager tout au long de l'année.
Je pratique le yoga. Je passe du temps avec mes chevaux.
Pierre est un grand bricoleur. Il a une formation d'architecte.

Hello to the Workaway community! For 2026, I'd like to host young Workawayer from abroad to help with all the maintenance work on the property. Ideally, you could stay between one and three weeks, which is my maximum. Here are the dates for June, starting June 10th. The entire month of July. And for August, before the 8th or after the 16th. These dates may vary.
We're looking for people who are already used to working outdoors, preferably in nature.
The work is physical. Being in good physical condition is a plus. We're disciplined and we like a job well done. Working together is more motivating and fun.
We also enjoy chatting and exchanging ideas, always with a smile.
There's always maintenance work to be done in the park: mowing and collecting grass clippings, trimming hedges, pruning branches, cleaning, sweeping, using a string trimmer to maintain the edges, and washing the fences.
The vegetable garden: weeding, sowing and planting, harvesting and washing the vegetables, and more weeding.
Helping with meal preparation.
The fences: replacing broken posts, screwing in insulators, tightening the tape, and cutting the grass under the fences with a string trimmer.
The forest: maintaining the paths, pruning branches, felling trees, and cutting and splitting firewood for the winter.

Bonjour à la communauté Workaway, pour cette année 2026 j'aimerais accueillir et recevoir des jeunes femmes et femmes étrangères pour m'aider avec tout les travaux d'entretien de la propriété. C'est bien si vous pouvez rester entre une semaines et 3 semaines qui est mon maximum. Voici les dates pour le mois de juin, à partir du 10 juin. Le mois de juillet entier. Et pour le mois d'août, avant le 8 ou après le 16 août. Ces dates pouvant varier.
Nous recherchons des personnes qui ont déjà l'habitude de travailler en extérieur et dans la nature si possible.
Le travail est physique. Être en bonne condition est un plus. Nous sommes disciplinés dans le travail et nous aimons quand le boulot est bien fait. Faire le travail à plusieurs est plus motivant et amusant.
Puis, nous aimons échanger et discuter, toujours avec le sourire.
Il y a toujours du travail d'entretien dans le parc : tondre et ramasser l'herbe, tailler les haies, élaguer des branches, nettoyer, balayer, passer le roto-il pour entretenir les bordures, laver les barrières.
Le potager: désherber, semer et planter, récolter les légumes et les laver et encore désherber.
Aider à préparer les repas.
Les clôtures : changer les piquets cassés, visser des isolateurs, retendre les rubans, couper l'herbe sous les clôtures avec rotofil.
La forêt : entretenir les chemins, élaguer les branches, tronçonner des arbres, couper et fendre du bois pour l'hiver.

The accommodation is a single room with adjoining shower and washbasin. Separate kitchen. The room is right next to our house.
We have lunch together and you can cook for yourself for breakfast an dinner. We provide you food.
Le logement est une chambre individuelle avec un coin douche et lavabo. Cuisine séparée. La chambre est juste à côté de notre maison.
Nous partageons le déjeuner et vous pouvez cuisiner pour vous-même pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner. Nous vous achetons les provisions.

A bus passes in front of the property to go to Bordeaux (1hour). The region offers opportunities to discover the beach, the ocean, the Bassin d'Arcachon, vineyards. The airport is 15 minutes away.

Caroline helped me with French and Pierre taught me many working skills.
The farm is a great place to stay and it's near Bordeaux, reachable by 1 hour with the bus.
Join the farm and you won't regret it.
