  Hello travellers! :)
  
  My name is Alina and I live in the beautiful Madeira island. Last 5 years I lived a life of the digital nomad, but as soon I discovered Madeira I fell in love with the island and decided to settle here.
  
  I am now doing the refurbishment of a traditional house, which is my home, and would love to have some help in the following months,
  
  My dream is to recreate the original view of the house which is located in beautiful green surroundings and just 15 minutes by bus from the Funchal.

  Madeira is a beautiful island with a great community to interact with! When you come, you will be considered as a friend, and I will be more than happy to make you feel at home, just like I would like to feel if I were being hosted! You are very welcome! You can enjoy the island in your free time, the beautiful beach, and nature hikes and get an amazing experience.

  Arbeit

  I want to rebuild the house by keeping the traditional style, but still making it a comfortable place to live and work. I have many ideas for small changes to make in the house and would love to have some help from someone with some experience in renovation or who is willing to learn, ideally would be good to find someone who can work with wood or knows about gardening. I'll be hiring local people for any bigger jobs, most of the tasks for workawayers will be related to the painting and restoration of the wooden parts.
  
  I would love to invite enthusiastic people, willing to help and also explore and share good moments.
  
  You would stay in the functional part of the house we want to reform. Refurbishments will be affected other parts of the building and the outside area. I would be happy to host someone who is willing to help part-time, 5 days a week. If you want to help for more hours at the beginning of your stay and then stay the last days just to enjoy the island and the space I can be flexible with it.
  
  MINIMUM STAY two weeks! I believe that a good experience for both host and workawayer should not be too short. Would prefer to host someone above 24 who loves nature and spending time outside.

  Unterkunft

  You will have your own private room where we do the project. The location is on the East of Funchal, 2 minutes from the bus station. Vegetarian food will be provided in case work takes longer than 3 hours a day.

  Was noch ...

  On your time off you can do social events, like concerts, theatres, festivals, or just enjoy the beach! There is a bus running all over the island although it does not pass so often (once an hour). This can take you to the Funchal downtown for shopping or just to have fun.
  
  The island is beautiful and its nature breathtaking, but consider it is more quieter place in the wintertime, so do not expect too many parties or stuff like that.
