Hello, my name is Luis Enrique and I am delighted to be able to offer you a workaway experience at Finca Villa Ana. I am a family dedicated to the cultivation of cocoa, under the agroforestry and natural agriculture system.
We transform cocoa into table chocolate (100% and 70% chocolates). Additionally, we use natural farming techniques and no chemical formulas are used on our trees.
Hola, mi nombre es Luis Enrique y estoy encantado de poder ofrecerte una experiencia de workaway en Finca Villa Ana. Soy una familia dedicada al cultivo de cacao, bajo el sistema agroforestal y agricultura natural.
Transformamos el cacao en chocolate de mesa (chocolates 100% y 70%). Además, utilizamos técnicas de agricultura natural y no se utilizan fórmulas químicas en nuestros árboles.

Arbeit
The advantage of a farm is that there is never a dull moment.
Participate in the cocoa process, from the trees to your taste buds (harvesting, peeling, fermentation, drying, etc.).
Restore furniture or build what you think is necessary and useful to make the property more comfortable.
Draw/paint to color and beautify the environment.
Maintain the roads, sometimes damaged by bad weather, take care of the fruit trees to avoid diseases and clean them.
Ensure the long-term future of our farm.
We would love to learn from your personality and add your own touch to the farm. Our goal is to brighten and enhance our organic farm.
Oliver and Elias, who work on the farm, will be able to help you with whatever you need and support you with more or less physical projects.
La ventaja de una finca es que nunca hay un momento aburrido.
Participa en el proceso del cacao, desde los árboles hasta tus papilas gustativas (recolección, monda, fermentación, secado, etc.).
Restaurar muebles o construir lo que creas necesario y útil para hacer más confortable la Finca.
Dibujar/pintar para colorear y embellecer el entorno.
Mantener los caminos, a veces dañados por el mal tiempo, cuidar los árboles frutales para evitar enfermedades y limpiarlos.
Asegurar el futuro a largo plazo de nuestra finca.
Nos encantaría aprender de tu personalidad y añadir tu propio toque a la finca. Nuestro objetivo es alegrar y realzar nuestra finca ecológica.

Unterkunft
There is an area reserved exclusively for you, with bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and rest area.
The two bedrooms offer enough space for your belongings, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed.
The cleaning, maintenance and care of your living space is yours. We count on you to take care of it. The furniture has been lovingly restored and built by you and for you. This is your home away from home.
As for the 3 meals of the day, you will cook yourself with products that you will have personally chosen in the supermarket but we will financially take care of your expenses for this meal within the limit of reason :)
At your disposal: 2 refrigerators, a washing machine, a hammock.
To take into account There is no oven, there is no Wi-Fi but a very good 4G connection.
Hay una dependencia reservada exclusivamente para usted, con dormitorios, cuarto de baño, cocina y zona de descanso.
Los dos dormitorios ofrecen espacio suficiente para sus pertenencias, uno de ellos con cama de matrimonio y el otro con una cama individual.
La limpieza, el mantenimiento y el cuidado de su espacio vital son suyos. Contamos con usted para cuidarlo. Los muebles han sido restaurados con mucho cariño y construidos por ti y para ti. Este es tu hogar lejos de casa.
En cuanto a las 3 comidas del día, te cocinarás tú mismo con productos que habrás elegido personalmente en el supermercado pero nosotros nos haremos cargo económicamente de tus gastos de esta comida dentro del límite de lo razonable :)
A su disposición: 2 frigoríficos, una lavadora, una hamaca.
A tener en cuenta No hay horno, no hay wifi pero muy buena conexión 4g.

The center of Ibagué is about a 50 minute drive from the Finca, otherwise the start of town is only 15 minutes away, but there is little to do in this area other than supermarkets and shopping centres.
Means of transport:
From La Finca to Ibagué -> car/motorcycle/taxi
In Ibagué -> the buses are easily accessible, there are always buses everywhere and at all hours, so you never have to wait.
In your free time or on weekends, you can enjoy various activities such as sightseeing or hiking:
La Plata Waterfall: If you like slightly sweaty hikes, this is the one for you. It takes an hour and a half to get there, with a climb and some small obstacles, but the views are worth it.
Halfway there is a restaurant where you can enjoy a lemonade, which is included in the price (this is when you pay to see the waterfall).
It is located between Ibagué and Juntas.
Mirador Cañón Del Combeima: A quiet place from which to enjoy an impressive view of the mountains and the river.
Glamping Ibagué Musical City:
You just have to follow the same route as the Finca. The Glamping is further up, 30/45 minutes walk. You can have a drink without being there and the views are great. There are very few tourists.
Finca La Rivera: A sublime place outside the center to spend a good part of the day or even sleep if you wish. This Finca is alone in the middle of the mountain, and you have to take the funicular to get there.
There is an excellent restaurant where you can enjoy fresh meat and fish (there are also vegetarian dishes). You will be surrounded by animals and several rest areas. A guide can teach you so you understand it better.
There are also several museums, including the Orchid Museum, one of the symbols of Colombia.
El centro de Ibagué está a unos 50 minutos en coche de la Finca, si no, el comienzo de la ciudad está a sólo 15 minutos, pero hay poco que hacer en esta zona aparte de los supermercados y centros comerciales.
Medios de transporte:
De La Finca a Ibagué -> coche/moto/taxi
En Ibagué -> los autobuses son de fácil acceso, siempre hay autobuses por todas partes y a todas horas, por lo que nunca hay que esperar.
En su tiempo libre o los fines de semana, puede disfrutar de diversas actividades como visitas turísticas o senderismo:
Cascada La Plata: si te gustan las caminatas un poco sudorosas, ésta es la tuya. Se tarda una hora y media en llegar, con una subida y algunos pequeños obstáculos, pero las vistas merecen la pena.
A mitad de camino hay un restaurante donde se puede disfrutar de una limonada, que está incluida en el precio (esto es cuando se paga por ver la cascada).
Se encuentra entre Ibagué y Juntas.
Mirador Cañón Del Combeima: Un lugar tranquilo desde el que disfrutar de una impresionante vista de las montañas y el río.
Glamping Ibagué Ciudad musical:
Sólo hay que seguir la misma ruta que la Finca. El Glamping está más arriba, a 30/45 minutos andando. Se puede tomar algo sin estar allí y las vistas son estupendas. Hay muy pocos turistas.
Finca La Rivera: Un lugar sublime fuera del centro para pasar buena parte del día o incluso dormir si lo deseas. Esta Finca está sola en medio de la montaña, y hay que coger el funicular para llegar.
Hay un excelente restaurante donde podrás disfrutar de carne y pescado frescos (también hay platos vegetarianos). Estarás rodeado de animales y varias zonas de descanso. Un guía puede enseñárselo para que lo entienda mejor.
También hay varios museos, entre ellos el de la Orquídea, uno de los símbolos de Colombia.
