We are a family of four, Hanna, Roger and our two girls Ronja and Embla. We don't smoke, don't drink (much) and don't party, but we love to travel, local food, nature and people. With us lives grandpa Aksel, plus four cats. We have hens, vegetable fields, herb garden and fruit trees. We try to be self sufficient (not too easy in Norway) and live simple, down to earth and environment friendly. We love having visitors!
This is typical norwegian countryside, with farms and fresh air and nature. Somtimes the tractors drive by at night, and two days a year it smells of cow dung. mostly its weeeery quiet and nice.
sombody is always at home and ready to chat over a cup of tea/coffe, or drive to the sea for fishing, walk in the woods to pick mushrooms and berries.
We usually eat dinner at 4-5 ish, and some vegetarian, much fish, some meat, and sometimes a little wild meat. A lot of it is organic, and some of it is self grown, gathered or bred. We are flexible when it comes to diet, most diets are no problem. :)
Often there are neighbours drinking coffee here too. And cats wanting to be petted. (Both can be chased away ;)

Enjoy wild norwegian nature, with fishing trips, hiking, climbing. We have bikes you can loan, and fishing rods. Sometimes even a boat. We love to show people our neighborhood. We have tents and maps and stuff if you like to camp out in the mountains. There are buses and boats going to Trondheim city if you like to sightsee, and we pick you up and deliver you at the bus/boat/mountain/fjord if we don't go with you. We can teach about herbs and mushrooms and organic farming or norwegian history if thats more intresting.
The main thing to do here is speaking/playing/hanging out with our active kids. If you don't like kids this probably isn't the place for you... We would like our kids to learn English and different cultures.
You are of course welcome to contribute in other ways too, if there are things you enjoy. Cooking, farming, gardening, cleaning, building, painting or other. I'm a lousy work leader, so it's a bonus if you're able at taking initiative your self.
We are really flexible with working time, so there will be loads of free time to do vacationing.
If you're good at building, construction, house work stuff then that kind of skills trumps anything! Any plumber is welcome regardless!!!!
We have a tiny guestroom with a bunk bed, with an extra matress under, so 3-4 people kan sleep there. Its not big. Really. Shared bathroom and welcome to use rest of the house.
We have hens, so you can hear faint noises of them waking up in the morning.
1: This is not Trondheim. Its about an hour with bus from the city.
2: We have small kids, they make noise and run around
Kids and friendly animals are welcome, and we don't expect neither to help out.
