We run on a dream to provide education that teaches analytical thinking skills with the use of English language to unprivileged children of Thailand, beginning from the first grade of primary school. With the inspiration from the late King Bhumibol of Thailand, we aim to help the poor and underprivileged children in Thailand develop their analytical skill and English ability by bringing the teaching method of international schools into the Thai schools for the poor. In the meantime, we connect with around ten schools in northern Thailand, reaching out approximately a hundred students aging 7-8.
It would be a great chance to practice teaching skills on a concrete project, and to make a difference in the lives of the children here in Thailand, and eventually around the world. Also, volunteers could also be given chances to explore the beauty and the unique culture of Thailand and countries nearby, making the South East Asia journey more meaningful and rewarding, by combining volunteering work and travelling together.

We are looking for volunteers, 20 years old and above, to teach English to poor children in Chiang Rai and Nan. We provide meals and accommodation and will also provide stipend to volunteers that can stay for 5 - 9 months in Thailand. Applicants should be fluent in English and have finished standard education or be a college student. We hope that our volunteers would be able to help out our teaching in the northern provinces of Thailand. They will be teaching with our lesson videos in English language covering five different subjects (Math, English, Health Education, Social Studies and Science). During the weekends, the volunteers could spend some time exploring the beautiful scenery and culture of northern Thailand.
We embrace the uniqueness of an English as a Second Language (ESL) classroom, and use it to our full advantage by discovering and implementing new ways of appealing to students of different learning styles, cultures, and walks of life, in order to engage them in our learning environment. We keep on developing modern technology to facilitate our teaching, children would be exposed to videos containing teaching materials prepared by us. Volunteers will at the same time be using the video for the teaching.
It would be a private room. However, since our partner schools are located in the provinces of Chiang Rai and Nan, the environment would be basic (unlike big cities such as Bangkok), which may mean A/C may not be provided. But we make sure that the room is clean. But it is also noteworthy that the weather in Chiang Rai would be much cooler than that in Bangkok.
We believe every child should be entitled to an opportunity of quality education. Generally speaking, children in Thailand are taught to memorize and repeat, rather than learning problem-solving skills and having inventory ideas. Here at the Foundation, we encourage and challenge students to go beyond memorization and instead to independently analyze and understand issues, while discovering how to methodically and efficiently resolve them. We feel strongly that this approach leads to greater understanding, retention, and success, both in and outside of the classroom.
Simply speaking, the idea of the project is to provide an opportunity for underprivileged children to develop analytical skills, and to learn the English language at the same time. One of the many attributes that makes our education method unique, is this dual purpose curriculum. Teaching analytical thinking skills is the heart of our organization, and teaching the English language is the channel through which we will achieve it. In addition to an English language class, our students study many other subjects in English as well, such as Math, Social Studies, Science, Health and Art, making our students into an all-round kid.
