  Beschreibung

  We are Emanuel and Narla (fury friends, Sylvan, Otto and Leto), a young couple working to restore native forest and support our community through providing access to natural spaces to facilitate transformational work.
  Located on 71 acres with 750m of river front, the property is close to national parks and about 40 minutes from Byron Bay.
  
  Long term we aim to turn the property into a retreat centre to host large groups engaged in personal and spiritual evolution.
  During COVID lockdowns we supported a full time community but are now in the phase of improving the site to allow groups to be more comfortably supported before we return to hosting large groups regularly. We are a currently a registered NFP, offer many nature, spirituality, and personal development retreats and charity and community events throughout the year.
  
  The property is abundant in natural beauty with several deep swimming holes on the river and rare wildlife including platypus and koala. We also have quite the range of animals, dogs, cat, rabbits, guinea pigs, guinea fowl, chickens, turkeys and a very cuddly snake!
  
  We grow much of our food supported by a collection of poultry.
  
  We strongly value clear communication, having regulated nervous systems and an esoteric understanding of the universe.

  Was ist das?

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We are part of a vibrant and connected community involved with various transformational avenues related to shamanism, tantra, permaculture, esoteric studies and art.
  
  In addition to forestry projects we occasionally host community events on the property and at times are involved in creating installation art.
  The project is heavily based in permaculture and we look forward to teaching you about this as part of supporting what we do here.
  
  Living more consciously, making food, milks, yogurts, skin care and natural remedies from home and from scratch, learning about how to live in harmony with the land, the animals and the spirit world.
  
  Esoteric studies are a central theme of our lives and we enjoy many discussion around this topic and can guide those with a more serious interest in the process of initiation.

  Arbeit

  Tasks are mainly based around land management, tending to the gardens, weeding, planting, helping alongside tractors to clear weeds, feeding branches into the wood-chipper, planting/pruning trees, basic construction and other farm related tasks as well as helping to maintain and harvest our large permaculture food garden.
  
  At the time we may also have art projects being created.
  Also, cleaning of the workaway house, cooking food, and new project building Narla's Tiny House!
  And sometimes simply walking dogs and watering plants.
  
  **WET SEASON DEC - FEB**
  We are mostly only taking on one or two workawayers, single or couple.
  Preference to one month stays.
  The hours are 3 hours, morning tasks of animals and garden care and some other small tasks around the house / land.
  No big projects happening during this time.
  
  REST OF THE YEAR
  4/5 hours a day, Monday - Friday, open to discussion and figuring our the best suit.
  Some work aways have done 2/3 more full on days and used the other days to go travel the region.
  Also, to acknowledge that the work we do is very weather dependant.
  
  We really appreciate great communication, especially around what's working and what's not.
  We have abundant tasks - so assigning you tasks that you're going to enjoy and do well, is *chefs kiss* for us.

  Unterkunft

  Fully furnished rooms inside our house with queen sized bed, fresh sheets, wardrobe, sheets and towels.
  Shared kitchen, bathroom, laundry and living space with outdoor deck. House is simple, clean, functional and well insulated.
  
  The house is predominantly filled with workawayers, Emanuel and Narla are currently building their own homes on the land, and live introverted lives. We do enjoy a board game and dinner together on occasion.
  
  Plenty of nature to rest, reset and peace.
  
  Abundant permaculture food garden provides much of the vegetables and some eggs with added dry goods provided as well.

  Note - we are 15 mins from the nearest town (by car).
  This is a rural area, and is preferable that you have your own car.
  If you don't also fine, but we only tend to leave the house every few days so know that travel will be limited with that.
  
  There are buses from nearest town Clunes, that head to Byron Bay, Lismore, Mullumbimby and Nimbin.
  If you are choosing public transport, please head to Byron Bay if coming from GC or Lismore from Casino train station if coming from Sydney.
  
  Also note - This is NOT a community live-in space.
  (Creating community culture is a purpose of the land, but not as a live-in community)
  Sometimes the house has workawayers flowing in it, sometimes it can very quiet, and mostly is quiet.
  This workaway experience, is for those seeking peacefulness, nourishment in the quiet and rich nature.
  Occasionally there are community gatherings and events, which you are more than welcome to be apart of.
  
  We do NOT host smokers.
