Young couple on a diy restoration of original old irish cottage and grounds 10 minutes drive from Ballina town in county Mayo, in the west of Ireland. Right now we'd like 1-2 people to help with painting, basic building and or carpentry skills, DIY, dog walking, strimming and all sorts of odd projects. Suitable for couples or 2 friends as it is isolated and we are away a lot due to work. All meals provided.

Triona (me ;) ) I just want to make a really nice place. Recently moved in so lots of things to do. I work as a social care worker. I am very interested in helping all those along the way.. All our pets who were in need of a home and all the travellers looking to learn about a new culture or new way of life. I am also very interested in learning how to live sustainably which is what we are currently working towards.
Neil, the DIY enthusiast is always with a tool in his hand 😂, is based in Dublin, the other side of Ireland, for work so is only around at the weekends which means you will have a lot of time to do the help on your own. Neil has done a lot of travelling and has a lot of interesting stories, from climbing to everast base camp to living in the Antarctic.

There is an airport nearby - Knock airport.
You can also fly into Dublin and take public transport bus or train to the Foxford stop to get here.
If I am not working I will do my best to drive you and save you the expense of public transport.
We are 33 and 37 in age so our workawayers are usually in similar age. We also appreciate couples or people travelling in pairs just so you have some company while we are working.
We work full time so are not often around so you will have freedom to help at your own pace and enjoy your holiday in Ireland 😎
When I am off I try to take workaways touring or transport to anywhere they want to go.
The work won't be demanding or too many hours. It is just convenient to have an extra pair of hands around.
