Beschreibung
We are a Horse Rescue Centre and Registered Charity based in rural Andalucia, approximately 40 minutes from Malaga Airport, The nearest shopping Centre is a 20 minute walk away, We currently have 9 horses under our care along with other rescued animals ; x4 dogs , x1 cat , free range chickens ,a goat, a pig, x3 ducks, finches, canary , budgies and a peacock , there are many abandoned animals in this area . The rescued horses have been starved, neglected and abused mentally as well as physically, each animal has a story to tell. Confidence and some experience with horses is essential , this type of work is not for the fainthearted or physically and mentally feeble ; often working in extreme weather conditions: heat , cold and sometimes floods ! Volunteers will be taught Cruelty -free Communication and Connection training with the horses which is part of the Rehabilitation programme , this can be a life changing experience for some students. Because of the amount of daily work,; animals, mucking out , maintenance and training involved we are only looking for long term stays , minimum 2/ 3 months.

I need help with the horses as well as your skills to help us keep the place maintained. I can only take one volunteer at any one time so do not be to disappointed if I am not always able to host you . I now have 9 rescue horses and my priority at the moment is to continue and advance our training and rehabilitation programme and so I need trainees with natural ability and confidence, we practise communication , connection and combination training , All the horses our free to roam around as a herd which is not a conventional stable yard set up. help requirements are ; Longer term 1/2 / 3 months for Volunteers with horse experience who are willing and able to learn our training methods., because of the present situation the priority is daily feeding , turning out , mucking out, putting out hay and water, also the horses not in training to benefit from grooming.
