We are a family with two (and really soon three) children: Gentiane, Louis-Abel (market gardener), Suzanne (3 years), Luce (nearly two years) and XXXXXX (under 1 month before his birth in march). All right, we have exploded the carbon footprint with all these children ! We apologies for that, and we will do our best to teach them resonable behaviour with our planet. We need your help for that !

We are not extreme ecologist but we like nature, mountain, good and healthy food, real culture and not massive culture. If you share this values, we're welcome to come and helping us to look after the children and sharing our simple life. During the summer Louis-Abel is a farmer (bio!), and he is working a lot with the garden.

The house is at the heart of a small village, school of children is very close and the garden is also very closed. We often go there with the children and shared our lunch or dinner with friends and wwoofers.

Gentiane is working part-time at home on a cultural european project. She is happy to have time to take care of the children and sharing activities with them BUT she is still wondering how she will do with 3 young children to go to the lake on summer, to go on library, to see a children's show, etc... With you, she could keep doing this activities with the children.

Nous sommes une famille avec deux (bientôt trois) enfants : Gentiane, Louis-Abel (maraicher), Suzanne (3ans 1/2), Luce (bientôt deux ans) et XXXX (moins 1 mois, naissance en Mars). D'accord, nous avons explosé le bilan carbone avec tout ces enfants. Nous nous en excusons et nous allons faire notre mieux pour éduquer nos enfants pour qu'ils aient un comportement respectueux de notre planète.

Nous ne sommes pas des écologistes extrême mais nous aimons la nature, la montagne, la bonne et saine nourriture, et la vrai culture, pas la "culture de masse". Si tu partages ces valeurs, tu es bienvenue pour nous aider à garder les enfants. Pendant l'été, Louis-Abel est maraîcher (bio!) et travaille beaucoup au jardin.

La maison est au centre d'un petit village, l'école est proche, le jardin aussi. Nous y allons souvent avec les enfants et nous y partageons des repas avec les amis et les wwoofers.

Gentiane travaille à mi-temps à la maison sur un projet culturel européen. Elle est contente d'avoir du temps pour s'occuper des enfants MAIS elle se demande comment elle va faire avec trois enfants pour aller au lac l'été, pour aller à la bibliothèque, pour aller au spectacle, etc. Avec toi, elle pourrait continuer à faire ces actvités avec les enfants !!!

- Leisure: at the door of the Vanoise National Park: all outdoor and mountain activities! Possibility to lend bikes. Small lake 2 km away. St Julien is a good starting point for hiking. There are many wild animals in the cliffs above the village. In winter, it is possible to ski (we practice ski touring). On weekends, we often go out in the mountains with the children. It is also possible to do garden on the farm or DIY on the house.
- Evening night: Atmosphere and animation: it's up to us to create it! No bar in the village (nearest bar 4 km). Come with your twigs to light the fire, your musical instruments and your crazy stories!

- Loisirs : à la porte du Parc National de la Vanoise : toute activité de pleine nature et de montagne ! Possibilité de prêter des vélos. Petit lac à 2 km. St Julien est bon départ pour faire des randonnées. Il y a beaucoup d'animaux sauvages dans les falaises au dessus du village. En hiver, c'est possible de skier (on pratique le ski de rando). Les weekends, on fait souvent des sorties en montagne avec les enfants. C'est aussi possible de faire du jardin à la ferme ou du bricolage sur la maison.
- Soirée nocturne : Ambiance et animation : à nous de la créer ! Pas de bar au village (bar le plus proche à 4 km). Viens avec tes brindilles pour allumer le feu, tes instruments de musique et tes histoires folles !

Arbeit
Help is needed to take care of the children (take them in and out of school / nursery, take care of them) and for household chores (cooking with the right vegetables, doing some housework / storage). You are not alone to do it, just helping the mum (the dad is very busy with his farmer work in summer).

On a besoin d'aide pour s'occuper des enfants (les emmener et les ramener de l'école/crèche, s'occuper d'eux) et pour les tâches ménagères (cuisiner avec les bons légumes, faire un peu de ménage/rangement). Tu ne seras pas seul(e) à le faire, il s'agit d'aider la maman (car le papa est très occupé au jardin en été).

Unterkunft
- Accommodation: homestay in single room. WIRELESS. A shared bathroom. We share meals together (often with some vegetable from the garden). There are also often volunteers that either sit at home or in the garden and give us a hand. It's better to come with your sleeping bag! We appreciate that the help for meals goes to the dishes and the storage of the kitchen in the evening.

- Logement : chez l'habitant en chambre individuelle. WIFI. Une salle de bain commune. On partage les repas ensemble (souvent avec des légumes bio du jardins). Il y a aussi souvent des woofers qui logent soit à la maison soit au jardin et qui nous donnent des coups de main. C'est mieux de venir avec son sac de couchage ! On apprécie que l'aide pour les repas aille jusqu'à la vaiselle et le rangement de la cuisine le soir.

- Access: possibility to pick you up at the Saint Jean de Maurienne station (small city very closed with everything (shops, cinema, swimming pool, ...) . By car by the national. - Specialties: the Opinel knife (the museum is in St Jean) - A 800m cliff well known by base jumpers just above the village (it is also possible to go ther just for a hike !!!).

- Accès : possibilité de venir vous chercher à la gare de Saint Jean de Maurienne. En voiture par la nationale.
- Petite ville proche : Saint-Jean de Maurienne (magasins, cinéma, piscine, loisirs...)
- Spécialités : le couteau Opinel (le musée est à St Jean)
- Une falaise de 800m bien connue des base jumpers juste au dessus du village (possible de faire que la rando avec la descente à pied !!!! :) ))).
