  Hello! We are Bonie and Yuca and Señor Pirata, (two female and male), now we live in a property on the beach, our human family travel and work outside the property and we would like you to take care of us!
  
  We like to have some activities like going for a walk or playing with a coconut if you throw it in the sea. In general, we like to stay close to humans and be with you while you do your own things.
  Help needed to make company to the puppies, keep their water clean, feed them, brush them, give them their medicine, keep their beds clean and tidy...
  
  In the area there is no electricity (no refrigerator!) or running water, we have a solar energy system (enough to have light at night, keep the internet modem on, charge phones during the day), we use water from a well and collect rainwater.
  
  
  We have very few neighbors, the place is very quiet where you can hear the waves of the sea and the breeze in the palm trees. Star gazing at night is an indescribable sight to delight in.
  
  Ideal for those who want to enjoy the beach, the sea, the reef and the natural environment away from the big cities. Preferably couples or if you are traveling with someone. There may be other people on the property or you may be completely alone with the puppies.
  
  The town of Mahahual is 6km along a coastal beach road, easy to reach by bicycle (no public transportation except taxi). There you will find grocery stores, bars, restaurants, ice cream parlors and bakeries.
  
  To get to Mahahual town there is public transportation every hour to/from Chetumal/Bacalar starting at 7am until 7pm.
  From Tulum there is an van (or not!) that leaves Tulum 3pm , days and times may change with no warning.

  Hola! Somos Bonie, Yuca y Señor Pirata, vivimos en una propiedad en la playa, nuestra familia humana viaja y trabaja fuera de la propiedad y nos gustaría mucho que tu nos cuidaras!
  
  Nos gusta tener algunas actividades como dar un paseo caminando o jugar con un coco si lo tiras al mar. En general nos gusta seguirlos a todos lados mientras ustedes hacen sus cosas!
  Se necesita ayuda para hacer compañía a los perritos, mantener su agua limpia, darles de comer, cepillarlos, darle sus medicinas, tener sus camas limpias y en orden…
  
  En el área no hay electricidad (no hay refrigerador!) o agua corriente, contamos con sistema de energía solar (suficiente para tener luz en la noche, mantener prendido el módem del internet, cargar teléfonos durante el día), usamos el agua de un pozo y colectamos agua de lluvia.
  
  Tenemos muy pocos vecinos, el lugar es muy tranquilo donde se escuchan las olas del mar y la brisa en las palmeras.
  Mirar las estrellas en la noche es un espectáculo indescriptible para deleitarse.
  
  Ideal para quienes deseen disfrutar de la playa, el mar, el arrecife y el entorno natural alejado de las grandes ciudades. De preferencia parejas o si estás viajando con alguien. En la propiedad puede haber otras personas o puede que estén completamente solos con los perritos.
  
  El pueblo de Mahahual está a 6km por un camino costero de playa, fácil de llegar con una bicicleta (no hay transporte público excepto taxi). Allí encontrarás tienda de abarrotes, bares, restaurantes, heladerías y panaderías.
  
  Para llegar a Mahahual hay transporte público cada hora desde/hacia Chetumal iniciando a las 7am hasta las 7pm.
  Desde Tulum hay una van (o no!) que sale de Tulum a las 15hs, días y horarios pueden cambiar sin previo aviso.

  We speak Spanish and English, other languages such as French and German are welcome to practice.
  A few meters swimming from the shore there is the second largest barrier reef in the world: The Mayan Reef. You are free to go snorkeling as much as you want. Snorkeling equipment and kayak will be available, and if possible a ride on a sailing boat as well.
  
  You can drink all the coconut water you can open!
  Nearby there are many places of interest such as Bacalar Lagoon, San Felipe Fortress, Archaeological Site of Chacchoben, and more.

  Hablamos español e inglés, otros idiomas como francés y alemán son bienvenidos para practicar.
  A pocos metros de la orilla se encuentra la segunda barrera arrecifal más grande del mundo: La Gran Berrera Maya. Pueden ir a snorkelear todas las veces que quieran. Equipo se snorkel y kayak estarán disponibles. También quizás un paseo en velero.
  
  Puedes tomar toda el agua de coco que puedas abrir!
  Cerca hay muchos lugares de interés como la Laguna de Bacalar, el Fuerte de San Felipe, Zona Arqueológica de Chacchoben, y más.

  Arbeit

  Most important task is to look after the pets: make them company, play with them, feed them, keep the water container clean, clean the cabin you stay, pet them.
  
  There are 4 cabins in the property that need all kind of work and maintenance that will become your proyects: from cleaning and replacing mosquito net, to change window wooden frames, fix the roof, redesign water pipes connections, improvement of the solar system, to name some of them. Some times we have guests arriving, so cleaning and preparing the cabins for guests.
  This will be your home, and all tasks related to keep the place clean and tidy are involved:
  There is A LOT of plastics that comes from the sea that need to be picked up, as well as algae and vegetation that grows, in addition to the maintenance and constant improvements that the shacks requires. Keep the garden from not being a jungle will be an every day activity. Cleaning the community areas such as bathroom, kitchen, grill area.
  
  Knowledge about dog care/dog behaviour/dog education/dog training is needed.
  If you want to keep yourself entertained, knowledge about bioconstruction, carpentry, (solar system), plumbing, artisan painting for murals or other knowledge of crafts are welcome to beautify the property.
  Please be aware all work will be physically demanding, or if you want to go to town by bike is 6 to 9 km (18km round trip) in the tropics (hot, humidity, mosquitoes...)

  La tarea más importante es cuidar de las mascotas: hacerles compañía, jugar con ellos, darles de comer, mantener limpio el bote de agua, limpiar la cabaña donde duermen, acariciarlos.
  
  Hay 4 cabañas en la propiedad que necesitan todo tipo de arreglos y mantenimiento que serán parte de los proyectos que debes realizar: desde limpieza y reemplazo de mosquiteros, hasta cambiar marcos de madera de ventanas, arreglar el techo, rediseñar conexiones de tuberías de agua, mejorar el sistema solar, por nombrar algunos. Algunas veces tenemos invitados que llegan, así que deberás limpiar y preparar las cabañas para los invitados.
  
  Esta será tu casa, y todas las tareas relacionadas con mantener el lugar limpio y ordenado están involucradas:
  Hay MUCHOS plásticos que vienen del mar que necesitan ser recogidos, así como algas y vegetación que crece, además del mantenimiento y mejoras constantes que requieren las cabañas. Evitar que el jardín sea una selva será una tarea constante durante tu estancia. Limpieza de las áreas comunes como baño, cocina, área de parrilla.
  
  El conocimiento sobre cuidado de perros/comportamiento de perros/educación de perros es necesario.
  Si deseas entretenerte, son bienvenidos conocimientos sobre bioconstrucción, carpintería, electricidad (sistema solar), plomería, pintura artesanal para murales u otros conocimientos de artesanía para embellecer la propiedad.
  Ten en cuenta que todo el trabajo será físicamente exigente, o si deseas ir al pueblo en bicicleta, son de 6 a 9 km (18 km de ida y vuelta) en el trópico (calor, humedad, mosquitos...)

  Unterkunft

  We offer you to sleep in one of the cabins in the garden with ocean view (bed, mattress and sheets). You will have access to a bathroom that is outside the house.
  There is a kitchen area you can use to prepare your meals with basic supplies (oil, salt, sugar...). We don't have a refrigerator (that may change with your help).
  You will have a cooler available to store your food, internet access is ok (quality depends on the service!), snorkeling equipment and kayak.
  Purified water to drink is provided (do not buy plastic bottles!).
  Your entire stay will be outdoors or be prepared for that.

  Te ofrecemos dormir en una de las cabañas del jardín con vista al mar (cama/colchón/almohadas/sábanas). Tendrás acceso a un baño que se encuentra fuera a unos metros de la cabaña.
  Hay disponible un área de cocina para que prepares tus alimentos, proveemos los insumos básicos (aceite, sal, azucar...). No tenemos refrigerador (eso puede cambiar con tu ayuda).
  Hay una nevera donde pueden guardar sus alimentos, acceso a internet es bueno (la calidad depende de la señal de celular), equipo de snorkel y kayak disponible.
  Les proporcionamos agua purificada para beber (no compres botellas de plástico!).
  Toda tu estancia será al aire libre o ven preparado para eso.

  This is a secluded place, there are no many people around, you will have a lot of time on your own peace, you can be seated in the beach with the dogs (where internet connection is the best!) and you will be "doing your job" making them company.
  We always seek a friendly and equitable treatment.
  Althoug this is a rustic way of life, cleaning is mandatory.
  
  We will be happy to help you have a good time enjoying the beach and nature.
  Working hours are flexible but dogs need to be take care every day.
  Tasks will be done by yourself, is better for couples as well as 2 friends traveling together.

  Este es un lugar muy retirado, no hay muchas personas en los alrededores. Tendrán mucho tiempo para ustedes, pueden estar sentados en la playa con los perritos (donde hay mejor conexión al internet!) y estarán "haciendo su trabajo".
  Procuramos siempre un trato amable y equitativo.
  Aunque este lugar es un poco rústico, la limpieza es mandatoria.
  
  Estaremos encantados de ayudarte a que pases un buen tiempo disfrutando la playa y la naturaleza.
  Los horarios de trabajo son flexibles pero los perros necesitan atención y cuidado todos los días.
  Las tareas serán hechas por su cuenta, por eso se recomienda para 2 personas viajando juntas (pareja o amigos).

  We have a decent plan for internet, the truth is we are located in the jungle and internet speed will depend on the cel company service. Sometimes it could be slow, ok for video calls, not excellent to uploade-download heavy files. - Hay contratado un plan decente de internet, la realidad es que estamos en la selva y la velocidad en la conexión depende del servicio celular de internet. En ocasiones puede ser lento, está bien para videollamadas, no es lo mejor para subir o bajar archivos muy pesados.

  There are many space to park a van or motorhome. The road to get here is a dusty road with a lot of vegetation, if your vehicle is oversized, please ask. Hay mucho espacio para estacionar tu van o motorhome. El camino de acceso es de terracería con mucha vegetación, si tu vehículo excede las dimensiones por favor consultar.
