  We are Bree and Adrian, a couple living in Albania. Adrian has moved back and forth between Germany and Albania for the past several years and I am an American who decided to stay in Albania while coming here on a side-trip from Turkey. Two summers ago we moved into a beautiful old stone house in the village of Vuno right on the Albanian Riviera. We have a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, two big rooms with fireplaces, a basement we've renovated completely into a salon and dorm room, a kitchen with all appliances, two bathrooms, and wifi. We have opened the house into a hostel -- renovating and restoring basically everything in the old house.
  
  This summer (2023) will be our third season and we barely recognize the house from when we first moved in! Currently we are making preparations to open in May and also to work on our garden that we've barely touched. We will probably need help with this early in the season.
  
  We have learned a lot from the past two summers and now know more of what we need in a volunteer. For this year, we are looking someone who is able to do basic hostel work (cleaning, preparing food, changing beds, maintaing the house, etc.). The person would also ideally enjoy spending several hours a day in the quiet village or in the house and not just wanting to escape to the beaches. However, despite the work, most days are fun meeting guests from all around the world, drinking with the locals in the cafes, walking through the ancient village and yes -- definitely going to the beaches nearby. Life is simple here!! We usually need volunteers to do their shift from morning until mid day or mid day until evening. We are very flexible though, and can adjust based on plans you have. We generally prefer to host volunteers for 2-3 weeks.

  Vuno is a beautiful village situated along the Albanian Riviera between Gjipe Canyon and Jale Beach. Himara, the Greek town is just 7 km away. Vuno is surrounded by amazing nature, canyons, waterfalls, and tons of hiking trails. The length of the riviera is full of beaches from busy to secluded. Vuno is a great base to explore the Riviera from any direction. We go to the beach all the time to swim, relax, kayak, fish, etc!
  
  Vuno itself is a small and peaceful place. The village is full of old stone houses and beautiful stairs that take you around the neighborhood filled with flowers and fruits growing. There are two cafes (both with wifi) where the locals sit all day and drink espresso and rakija and eat good food :)

  Arbeit

  We need help making the place comfortable too, so -- building and hanging shelves, making a shaded area on the terrace with plants from the mountains, etc. We try to use natural materials when adding things to our home. We are making plans as we go so ideas are welcome :)

  Unterkunft

  We can offer a bed in the dorm room. We also sleep outside under the stars on our big terrace many nights :)

  Was noch ...

  There is a lot to explore from Vuno and our house is just 2 minutes walk up from the main road where the auto buses run up and down all day. Hitchhiking is also very common along the Riviera and it is no problem to get a ride to where you are going.
  
  We are both very friendly and respectful people who have traveled a lot. We are both in our twenties and have a lot of energy and like to have a good time. When you stay with us, what is ours is yours and we eat and drink good :) You can feel totally at home here while helping us.
