For mid June, July, Aug & Sep
We have an organic Veg garden, supplying us with plenty of fresh veggies during summer, we use drip pipes for daily watering, but the taps needs to be opened manually for 30 mins for each plot, plus watering the other gardens with a hose pipe and some by watering can.
Apart from this there will be various small general cleaning jobs , like removing leaves from the swimming pool, etc, to make up the 5 hrs because we will be in the kitchen all day long cooking for the retreats we are hosting.
We have a private room with a double bed and shared bathroom for your use.
Your help will be appreciated, enthusiastic and self-aware people will be welcome to come and give us a hand in exchange for good home made food and your own room. We ask 5 hrs a day, 5 days /week, and we will provide all your food for 7 days/week.
We also have a cat & 2 dogs.
The house/farm is isolated in a small valley and you need a car to get to the next small town (10 mins) or lake (5 mins) and surrounded by manned Eucalyptus forests. You could catch a flight to Lisbon, then a 2 hr train to Tomar, where we can pick you up by car if possible, otherwise you can take a bus to our local village; Cernache do Bonjardim where we can pick you up.
Smoking only outside the house. We are Vegetarians and although we grow organic fruit & Veg, we cant buy it locally while ours are not grown yet.

We prefer to think of our helpers as visitors to long lost uncles, 😁 we want you to feel at home and share your experiences and lifestyle with us and visa versa, we love to chat about deep things in life, but when we work, we do it with equal passion and commitment.
However, we will be very busy in the kitchen during this time, so spending quality time getting to know each other will be limited.
Arbeit
We are looking for self disciplined person or couple to help us right now (March, April, May) with Spring cleaning and Gardening to get the Veg patch ready for planting this year's seedlings please.
Main job during summer months (Mid June, July, Aug & Sep) is to water the gardens, but also cleaning the pool for 5 mins a few times a day and various small jobs. There will be retreat running during this period, so there will be many amazing guests in the property to get to know.

A 100 year + old Manor house, with some outbuildings and courtyard. It has a lot of character and we think a very nice vibe. All rooms on 1st floor are en-suite
