  Beschreibung

  I am a small local mushroom farm with a huge passion for environment, and thus working towards a circular economy. I run the farm by myself with some help of parttimers and workawayers here and there. I am looking for someone to help out with the day-to-day jobs at the farm, and some other jobs such as R&D or if there is interest some backend work (such as Quickbooks/admin).
  
  Starting November I will have a parttime worker who will also be helping at the farm, as things will get busier for the high season. Until then it will just be myself and perhaps you :)
  
  Sint Maarten is located in the Caribbean and is quite a thriving island with lots to do. The summer season is the 'low season' though still with plenty to do. The island can be great for nature (hikes, snorkeling, beaches, kitesurfing etc) or also for partying, all depending what you are into!
  
  I have a small but lovely apartment available up in the hill where you would stay with me and my lovely dog!

  The Caribbean has a unique culture which is blended with many other cultures here in Sint Maarten, a melting pot of nationalities. We work on island time, whilst still enjoying a bit of efficiency !
  
  Being born here I have a lot of knowledge about our little island and where to go. I hope I can help show the best St Maarten has to offer.
  
  And having travelled the world (by boat) for 8 years, I am always keen to meet new travellers and people from different paths of life - let's connect!

  Arbeit

  Jobs that we would like to fullfill , though depending on experience and interest it could be a few of these:
  
  - production: meaning the preparation of substrate bags, harvesting, packing for deliveries as well as the deliveries itself (if comfortable driving) (For those with little knowledge it is very quick to learn.)
  - For those who have more experience or want to learn, we would love help with the lab work, inoculation, daily operations and planning.
  - additional jobs that can be done are working with quickbooks, helping with R&D for new varieties and byproducts. All in all, it is very open with what the role can be, and depending on the length of stay, I am also very open to teaching new skills.
  
  We have someone volunteering with us now who I taught Quickbooks skills which helped me to organize our accounts, and him to add a new skillset to his CV.

  Unterkunft

  I have a small apartment up in the hill that is quiet and surrounded by nature (see photos for the view!)
  
  It is very beautiful and quiet up there, a real gem of a spot, and only 5 min drive from the farm. You would be staying with me in the living room, and I will provide meals during your stay.
  
  I will ask for anyone staying that they can participate in cooking and keeping the house tidy.
  
  During work hours you can use my stickshift pick up truck for any deliveries, and outside of work there are buses available or you can use my car from time to time.
