Hello travelers!
We are Steve & Rhonda, an American couple, living in Bocas del Toro Panama for 10 years now. We have an ATV rental business, a beach bar/restaurant, and a hotel / hostel all sharing one beautiful beach front location. At this time, we are undergoing renovations and annual maintenance and looking for help with sanding, painting, cleaning and re-organizing. Would prefer at least a week long commitment. We will also be looking for help in reception upon re-opening June 1st - though this requires a longer commitment, preferably at least 1 month
Our regular staff is made up of:

Right now, we are looking for help with our annual maintenance - mostly sanding, painting, cleaning and organizing in preparation for our re-opening
Once we are open, we will also be looking for help in reception, but will need a minimum commitment of 1 month for this.

Unterkunft
As a volunteer, your sleeping arrangements will be either in one of the dorms or a loft space that is a bit more private (4 shared). There is a toilet and shower in each of the dorms- which are quite spacious- and lockers for safe storage or your belongings. There are 2 kitchens - stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils needed for you and our guests to prepare your own meals.

The hostel is out of town, the taxi costs $3 per person but we do make several trips to town each day and can give you a lift.
We are right on the beach, the best surfing spots are walking distance from the hostel. Bocas del Toro offers a lot for any taste. Snorkeling, diving, surfing, jungles, caves, hiking, island hopping and much, much more. There are several other islands to explore, each just a short boat ride away - Caranero, Solarte, Bastimientos. Water taxi's range from $1 to $5.
PETS - we do have cats that call our property home and lots of visiting neighborhood dogs.

Always happy and willing to do whatever needed to be done.
His main job became the daily pool maintenance - not an easy task with a heavily used pool - and he did a great job.
Our bar staff was also happy to have him do the heavy lifting.
