Welcome to our home in the beautiful countryside of Nakanoto, Ishikawa, Japan. I am Mehak (affectionately called as Kaori chan by the locals). Interestingly, Kaori also means fragrance, which is the english meaning of my name. My husband, Mark, is of British origin and together we have created our dream to have a wellness sanctuary.
Although we bought this beautiful, traditional Japanese house during the pandemic with plans of making it a wellness hub for locals as well as visitors. Its only now after 6 years, that this dream is taking shape. We are currently planning to convert our warehouse (kura) in a fully functional studio space offering a variety of lessons - from Aerial Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yang Yoga, Dance Movement lessons, massages, tarot readings, sound healing, community events and so much more.
So, at this stage, we are excited to have some creative, kind souls to come volunteer and help us with day to day management and social media. If this seems to be your vibe, definitely get in touch!

Arbeit
The help can be broadly categorized in 3 main areas
1. STUDIO MANAGEMENT
We would like someone who is interested in Wellness, spirituality and various healing modalities or has an open mind towards it. The volunteers can then assist or join the sessions, provide social media assistance/management/ create content/help with digital marketing.
2. HOUSE MANAGEMENT
Anyone who is willing to help with beautification/DIY projects/carpentry/gardening and general maintenance of the property. Since its a traditional Japanese House, there is always something ready to be repaired/maintained, upgraded.
3. LIVING ASSISTANCE
Help with cooking fresh vegetarian meals, cleaning and maintaining the house.

The volunteers are welcome to enjoy fresh, vegetarian meals. We are a vegetarian family so don't eat any meat or fish but eggs, cheese and dairy is okay. We will be happy to provide three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) . We like to eat together so join us, but you are also welcome to do things at your own pace and enjoy meals at your own time incase you have a different schedule than ours.
All meals will be cooked together, provided or given ingredients for.
