from half february till May 2022
We are a married, dutch couple, 55+ university studies nursing and engineering.
We live for 10 years at a quinta (formerly an old bakery) with 3 red cats and a black one, and lots of land around the house with a pond.
But the garden walls falling apart and weeds is growing to high, also we like to cultivate parts with tracks, and the house needs some general maintenance. .
.
Things of interest: conversation about filosofy/orchids/nature/arts/books/electronics and humor/food/drinks. -

They cut the grass and chopped wood and spoiled the cats rotten😊
They had some problems to solve and did it creative.
They are very enthousiastly workawayers.
We wanted them to take care for our 4 cats for 5 weeks,
but they also cut the grass cut trees cleaned up all the quinta!! excellent!! we where very happy with whem.
They are great workers , flexible, when there are problems they solve the problem themselves.

It was our second workaway experience and we stayed at their beautiful wooden home with huge windows overlooking the gorgeous scenery.
We stayed for about 3 months and our experience was very useful in many ways. We learnt much about the culture in Portugal (pros and cons) and we also gained experience of what it … read more

Angela and Nico
Hard working with excellent skills and a big sense of responsibility.
They did a good job with wood harvesting and Morgan " got her first tree"....
They both had a good sense of humor, so we had good conversations.
We really enjoyed their company!!!!.
