Welcome! The core of what we do is use the therapeutic and intuitive qualities of animals to heal humans with our equine and farm therapy programs. We also breed horses and take in many different types of animals. Our 20 acre farm is in Newberg, Oregon.
We are located in a picturesque rural area with beautiful places to walk. There are many wineries within walking distance as well.

We eat dinner together three nights per week. Veggies are always organic, meat is always as local as possible. Dinners are always home-cooked from scratch. Breakfast, lunch, and the other dinner nights are also provided, but you have to prepare it for yourself. We have really enjoyed and appreciated the volunteers that have come to our farm and family.
We value tolerance, respect, and community. We welcome all people, no matter your sexual orientation, race, religion, gender identity, country of origin or age. We expect all volunteers to practice tolerance and respect towards others while they are here.
If you would like to apply to volunteer here, please start by messaging us with your answers to the following questions. What draws you to our farm? Do you have any dietary restrictions? If you eat a plant-based diet, flexibility will increase your chances of being chosen, as most of our community dinners (3 nights a week) incorporate sustainably and ethically raised meat. Are you capable of physical labor, such as lifting, digging and mucking? This is only a part of the job, but all volunteers need to be able to perform these tasks. Do you have experience living in community, and what has that been like for you? Are you ok living in an all-gender living space? Are you able to make a two-month commitment? We look forward to hearing from you!
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets. We have a variety of free-range animals and a careful balance exists that allows all our animals to coexist in a healthy and safe way. It's not possible for us to temporarily take dogs, cats, or horses during your stay.
Volunteers help us care for the animals, and support our equine-assisted psychotherapy program. We have a large vegetable garden that volunteers help plant, maintain, and eat! We also raise a small amount of animals for our consumption, as we believe this is the most sustainable and ethical way to source the meat we eat. Volunteers also help with events that we have throughout the year. We have bunnies, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, llamas, cats, dogs, mini donkeys, horses, miniature horses, goats and a pig named Stinkerbelle.

Meals and accommodation are included. We cook for everyone and we all eat together three nights per week. We have a shared apartment for volunteers that includes a kitchen and a bathroom. This is an all-gender space. Laundry is available on-site.
We have a two month minimum for any volunteer who wants to come here. We welcome longer stays as well!
Volunteers must have health insurance or be willing to sign up for free health insurance through Oregon Health Plan.
We are a non-smoking facility.
Our facility is considered a healthcare setting, since we provide therapy services on-site. As such, we are currently mandated to ensure that all our volunteers are vaccinated against COVID-19, and we are required to request proof of vaccination.
