  Hello Workaway community.
  
  We are located in the heart of the Occitanie region in the Tarn department, 50 kilometers northeast of Toulouse. In a geographically undulating area, with few fields and many wooded landscapes. Surrounded by beautiful small towns, the variable nature provides us with diverse landscapes.
  
  Our house is located 4 kilometers from the center of the village Briatexte and 6 kilometers from Graulhet, 10 km from Lavaur in an area designated as a nature park.
  
  On the 4-hectare property next to the house, which also serves as a gite, you'll find several light structures such as yurts or trailers, and one cabin.
  
  Our project, aimed at providing a space for people intending to live in a natural and healthy environment, which we started more than 15 years ago, is evolving. The dynamics and direction of this evolution, as well as the events, are motivated and inspired by the people staying . Activities are also conditioned by the seasons and weather.

  Notre maison est située à 4 kilomètres du centre du village de Briatexte et à 6 kilomètres de Graulhet, dans une zone désignée comme parc naturel.
  Sur le terrain de 4 hectares à côté de la maison, qui sert également de gîte, vous trouverez plusieurs structures légères telles que des yourtes , ainsi qu'une cabane.
  
  Notre projet, visant à offrir un espace aux personnes qui souhaitent vivre dans un environnement naturel et sain, que nous avons commencé il y a plus de 15 ans, évolue. La dynamique et la direction de cette évolution, ainsi que les événements, sont motivées et inspirées par les personnes séjournant . Les activités sont également conditionnées par les saisons et la météo.
  L'espace est vaste, donc nous avons toujours besoin d'aide pour son entretien. Dans les trois prochains mois, nous pouvons nous occuper de divers travaux de jardinage, de petites constructions et reconstructions, ainsi que de réparations tant dans la cour que dans les bâtiments.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  By staying with us, we will exchange experiences, customs, and even language, as we come from different cultures. The extent of this depends on us ourselves.

• 

  Arbeit

  We are part of the Workaway community because we believe that the exchange and meeting people from around the world enriches us and brings some beautiful moments into our lives. Creating and designing together is a beautiful and dynamic process that makes us better people.
  
  Various tasks are possible, but we can still limit them to taking care about animals, small construction jobs, yard reconstruction, maintenance of the wooded area, green spaces, forest and garden, as well as the maintenance, reconstruction, and repair of buildings.
  
  The space is vast, so we always need help with its maintenance. In the next three months, we can engage in various gardening tasks, small constructions and reconstructions, and repairs both in the yard and in the buildings.
  
  For some specific larger projects in December, we plan to install isolation on the north walls of the rooms in the hause.
  While in January, we'll be renovating the bathroom, so assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  Unterkunft

  We offer actually 3 types of accommodation , smaller rooms in the house , camper, Yourt or you can place a tent in the yard. Depending on length of stay and your wishes , we can arrange that accommodation you prefer.The house (all accommodation in fact) is non-smoking.
  I suggest daily participation in the maintenance of order in the house.

  We are in the countryside, we are on 4 km from the nearest village (Post , store , restaurant , pharmacy, media library ...) and from the nearest town (cinema , cultural and social events , shops , markets, pharmacy, media library.....) To both can be reached by bike that we have or by car,of course. Except for the two nearest , there are several towns at a distance of 10-30 km which can be reached by bus . Then there are Castres, Albi and Toulouse as larger cities to which arrives or by bus or train . If you want to stay in the countryside at 5 minutes walking distance is the river , has a beautiful landscape for walking or go on swimming pool.

  Pets are welcome! However, after several experiences, it has become necessary to inform you of some important details for us. Your pet is your responsibility. Our yard is not fenced. Generally, the stay of our best furry friends, dogs, in the house is limited to the ground floor where they have their designated space. Since we already have several cats, a cat's stay in the house can trigger the need for the cat to mark territory, which is a very unpleasant smell for us humans. In addition, carpets or mattresses and other items that the cat marks are almost completely destroyed after marking their territory. Chickens roam freely, and experience has shown that a large number of dogs love to play with them, causing trauma and injuries, and sometimes even the death of the chickens.
