  Hi, my name is Lou. I recently moved to a property that was formerly a petting zoo and orange grove, near Gandia, Valencia. My plan, which is already underway, is to diversify the crops grown using permaculture and food forest principles. Prior to being a host I was a WorkAwayer and it was the amazing experiences I had that made me want to be a host someday. I really love the inspiration I get from meeting like-minded passionate people. It energizes me and renews my hope in humanity and the future. I would love to share what I know with those who come to help me on this project and hopefully learn a lot from them as well. Besides working together on the tasks at my place, of course I would love to spend time with volunteers doing things like cooking together and having nice chats during and after meals. I am currently learning guitar and I would love to either learn more from someone who knows more than me, or helping those who are just getting started with the instrument. I live with my dog (a super friendly melanois /mastiff mix named Moose). I also have some chickens, ducks, and an old Vietnamese pig named Didi.

  Hola, mi nombre es Luis. Recientemente me he mudado a una propiedad que era una granja escuela y campo de naranjos en la zona de Gandia, Valencia. Mi plan es diversificar los cultivos usando los principios de la permacultura. Antes de ser un anfitrión colaboré en muchos proyectos como WorkAwayer y fueron esas experiencias las que me dieron ganas de algún día poder recibir voluntarios. Me inspira mucho el tipo de gente que se conoce a traves de esta plataforma. Me encantaría compartir lo que sé y también aprender de aquellos que vengan a ayudarme en este proyecto. Aparte de trabajar juntos, obviamente también me interesa compartir momentos cocinando juntos y teniendo buenas conversaciones durante y después de las cenas. Actualmente estoy aprendiendo a tocar la guitarra y me encantaría aprender de todos aquellos que estén a un novel mas avanzado que yo o ayudar en lo que pueda a los que recién están empezando con el instrumento. Vivo con mi perro (super amigable, una cruza de melanois y mastiff). También tengp gallinas, patos, y una cerda vietnamita viejita llamada Didi.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  My plan is to use permaculture principles to make use of the land. Although I am by no means an expert, I am happy to share everything I know. Just ask me whatever you'd like me to share with you. I speak Spanish and English fluently, so I'd be happy to converse in either language for those wishing to practice. My place is a 20 minute from great beaches and a 10 minute drive from great hikes. There are also a rock climbing area within walking distance, caves and trails.
  
  Mi plan es usar los principios de la permacultura en el uso de la tierra. Aunque no soy un experto en la materia, me encanta compartir lo que entiendo con todo aquel que me haga preguntas. Hablo ingles y castellano, y estoy dispuesto a conversar en cualquiera de los dos idiomas para aquellos que deseen practicar o el uno o el otro. Mi propiedad está a 20 minutos de unas muy bonitas playas y muy cercana a rutas de hiking. Caminando se puede llegar a una escalada, cuevas, etc.

  Arbeit

  Obviously there would be a lot of garden work such as planting, harvesting, weeding, watering, etc. But I also have a lot of building and repair projects. So people with carpentry or plumbing or brick laying skills would be greatly appreciated.
  
  Obviamente habrá mucho trabajo de jardín como cultivar, cosechar, quitar malezas, regar, etc. Pero también tengo muchos proyectos de construcción y reparos. Así que gente con experiencia de carpintería, fontanería, albañilería, etc. serán muy apreciados.

  Unterkunft

  On the property I have a small camper with a double bed where volunteers can sleep. A few steps from it there's an outdoor toilet an an outdoor shower with hot/cold water. There's also an outdoor kitchen which we'll all be sharing. See profile pics.
  
  As far as food, I can provide the supplies for breakfast, lunch and dinner prioritizing the use of whatever grows on the property. For example, since I have orange trees, if you come during orange season, the fruit I will be providing for volunteers will be oranges. For breakfast everyone makes their own thing. For lunch and dinner, we take turns at cooking.
  
  The property is fairly isolated, so having your own transportation will limit your dependency on me.
  
  Tengo una caravana pequeña con una cama matrimonial. A pasos de ella hay un servicio (toilet) exterior y una ducha con agua fría/caliente. Hay una cocina exterior que compartiremos. Ver fotos en el perfil.
  
  En cuanto a comida, proveo los suministros para el desayuno, almuerzo, y cena dándole prioridad a lo que halla para cosechar en ese momento en la propiedad. Por ejemplo, tengo muchos naranjos, si es época de naranjas, la fruta que ofreceré serán naranjas. Para el desayuna cada uno se prepara lo suyo. Para el almuerzo y la cena nos turnamos para cocinar.
  
  Mi propiedad esta bastante apartada del pueblo. Así que para no depender mucho de mi, sería mejor que los voluntarios tuviesen su propio método de transporte.

  On the property there's also some animals that were left by the last owner: chickens, ducks, peacocks, paroquets, and a Vietnamese pig named Didi. I mention this in case of any allergies volunteers might have.
  
  En la propiedad también tengo algunos animales que ha dejado el antiguo dueño: gallinas, patos, pavos reales, periquitos, y una cerda vietnamita llamada Didi. Menciono esto por lo de las alergias.

  Digital nomads are welcome, but be aware that I don't have WiFi to share. I use the data from my phone which is limited, so it's only for my personal use.   Platz zum Abstellen von Camper Vans

  Campervans are welcome but be aware that the there is a turn just before you get to my property that is a bit tricky if your campervan is too big. If you reach out to me, we can discuss. Las caravanas son bienvenidas, pero sepáis que hay un giro llegando a mi propiedad que es un poquito complicado. Si me contactan lo podemos hablar.
