Welcome to our little corner of Madagascar 🌿

We’re a joyful family living on a small farm surrounded by nature, animals, and a peaceful rhythm shaped by the seasons. Our days are filled with learning, creativity, and meaningful moments—rooted in simplicity, kindness, and purpose.

We’re currently looking for someone with experience in education—or a student or professional passionate about sharing their skills. Your main role will be to help homeschool our three children (ages 10, 12, and 14) in English, through playful, hands-on learning. Our eldest already understands English well, and we’d love to give her more opportunities to speak naturally and confidently. English native speakers are especially welcome, as hearing and practicing a clear accent will be a real gift for our kids.

In addition to homeschooling, you’ll also take part in light farm activities: feeding animals, planting, or helping with small daily tasks. Nothing too intense—just enough to feel the earth under your feet and be part of our rhythm.

We offer a warm and welcoming environment, homemade meals, and plenty of time to explore the beautiful countryside. If you’re looking for a meaningful exchange where you can teach, grow, and live simply—we’d love to welcome you into our family.

Madagascar is a beautiful country with a beautiful culture. In our place, you will see how real malagasy people live, apart from what is written in traveler guides. When eating with our family, you will also taste marvelous tropical fruits (depending on the season ) and will discover our rich but simple gastronomy. We will exchange a lot about culture, history of Madagascar , and the way of living here.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being with children and preferably has experience in education—or is currently studying or working in a field they’re passionate about and eager to share. Whether you’re a teacher, an artist, a scientist, or simply someone with a gift for explaining things clearly and kindly, we’d love to welcome you.

Your main role will be to support our homeschooling journey in English. We prioritize immersive, playful learning, and we especially appreciate native English speakers, as hearing and practicing a clear accent is a great benefit for our children—especially our eldest, who understands English well and is ready to speak more confidently.

You’ll also be invited to take part in light farm tasks: feeding animals, helping in the garden, or assisting with small daily routines. Nothing too demanding—just enough to enjoy the rhythm of nature and contribute to our shared life.
We live simply and intentionally, and we value a lifestyle rooted in respect, kindness, and shared rhythms. Because of how we’ve structured our family life and the values we’ve passed on to our children, we’re only able to host individual volunteers or married couples. We kindly ask that unmarried couples not apply, as we want to remain consistent with what we’ve taught our kids about family and relationships.

We also aren’t able to accommodate vegan diets, simply because sourcing ingredients for that lifestyle is very difficult in our rural setting.
We hope this makes sense, and we truly appreciate your understanding. If you feel aligned with our way of life and would enjoy sharing your gifts with our children, we’d love to hear from you.

I'm interested to learn Spanish and Italian. My family and I also want to practice our English more. I can speak French and Malagasy fluently, so I can offer a language exchange.

    Unterkunft

Your home during your stay will be a simple, independent bungalow nestled just a few steps from our family house. Surrounded by nature and the peaceful rhythm of farm life, it offers privacy, simplicity, and comfort.

The bungalow includes a private bedroom, and a bathroom. Filtered drinking water is always available too.

For stays of less than 15 days, you’ll share meals with our family—homemade, local, and prepared with care. For longer stays, you’ll prepare your own breakfast and dinner in the bungalow’s kitchenette, while lunch remains a shared moment with us.

This setup allows you to enjoy both independence and connection, with space to rest and reflect, and moments to gather and share. It’s ideal for those who appreciate quiet mornings, meaningful work, and evenings under the stars.
