  Retired military couple needing respite and assist with a multitude of tasks: elder supervison, home sitting, property management and farm coordination.
  Yep, that's all folks, in a nutshell .
  If you wish to learn more, then let’s communicate. We hope to take short breaks, perhaps disappear for weeks at a time if we can be confident of your experience, integrity and sincerity.
  
  Hope to establish a trusting relationship with independent folk who can feed, fend for themselves and follow directives with good work ethic. References necessary. Longer stays preferred - compensation based on experience. Reasonable demands on your time with freedom to make friends and explore. Our preference is to work with locals returning from abroad, who understand our community and wish to transition ‘back home to the islands’, as the song goes and you should know it,

  They should know what to expect by learning about the islands before arriving.
  - One specific item to know:
  Mauna Kea and Loa are active volcanic mountains.
  Those with respiratory considerations should seek other environments.

  Arbeit

  Varied :Watching over elder, homes, pasture management & maintenance.Horse handling helpful - only if experienced. Help getting products to market, seasonally.
  
  Part time assistance and flexible hours
  - when we are home as there would be opportunities to explore community on off times. If we are away, then dependabiltiy and trustworthiness critical - with arrangements for compensation. Solid references a must for increased responsibilities or vehicle use. A couple, couple with one child okay, but accommodation is not large.

  Unterkunft

  No castles, for a single : small room with half bath and shared shower in town. A family will have more space in a rustic farm dwelling, presently partially completed. Cottage available with special conditions of increased responsibilities . Plenty to see and do on off times, as Big Island is the most beautiful in my estimation with a friendly slow paced community.

  We are situated in Hilo and on the Hamakua coast of the Big Island - which is ‘HAWAII’ county. Free HELE ON bus service.
