Hi, we're Andrea and Raul. We came to live in Asturias two years ago with our dog, Esteban. We bought a stone house and a horreo (a stone barn) in a rural area in the heart of Asturias. We've been working for two years to make this place comfortable and more beautiful every day. We're currently working on the exterior of the house, including a vegetable garden, a terrace, and various maintenance tasks. Our goal is to be completely self-sufficient. Our house is located 500 meters above sea level, with views only of nature and mountains. Despite the house being isolated, we have a few neighbors and all the necessary services are an 8-minute drive away, including a shopping center, bars, restaurants, etc.
Ciao, siamo Andrea e raul , siamo venuti a vivere in Asturias due anni fa con il nostro cane Esteban. Abbiamo comprato una casa di pietra e un horreo in una zona rurale nel cuore d'asturias . Sono due anni che stiamo lavorando per rendere questo posto comodo e ogni giorno più bello, in questo momento ci stiamo dedicando ai lavori nella parte esteriore della casa , fra cui un orto una terrazza e vari lavori di mantenimento. Il nostro obbiettivo è arrivare ad a essere del tutto autosufficienti.La nostra casa si trova a500 m sopra il livello del mare , con vista solo a natura e montagne, nonostante la casa sia isolata abbiamo alcuni vicini e tutti i servizi necessari a 8 minuti di auto, fra cui un centro commerciale bar ristoranti etc.. -

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
We are an Italian-Spanish couple; Raúl is a tattoo artist and Andrea is an illustrator. We speak Italian, Spanish, Catalan and English.
We travelled a great deal before arriving here; we love discovering new cultures, foods and customs, which is why we decided to try the Workaway experience.
We like the idea of being able to talk to and get to know people from other cultures who, like us, may have travelled.
You’ll certainly learn to live more self-sufficiently whilst staying with us: Raul is brilliant at woodwork, and Andrea is an expert in all things gardening and painting. We’d love to learn from our guests and for the exchange to be mutual; we’ve learnt so much over the years and would love to share it.
We’d love for anyone who stays with us to offer suggestions for setting up the vegetable garden – a subject on which we’re complete beginners – but any other suggestions are more than welcome.
Siamo una coppia italiano- spagnola , raul è tatuatore e Andrea illustratrice , parliamo italiano , castellano , catalano e inglese .
Abbiamo viaggiato tanto prima di arrivare qui, ci piace conoscere nuove culture, cibi e usanze, motivo per cui abbiamo pensato di fare l'esperienza del workawaya.
Ci piace l idea di poter parlare e conoscer e persone di altre culture che possibilmente come noi possono aver viaggiato.
Sicuramente stando qui con noi potrete imparare a vivere in modo più autosufficiente, raul è un bravissimo a lavorare il legno e Andrea in tutto ciò che riguarda il giardinaggio e pittura . Vorremo poter imparare da i nostri ospiti e che lo scambio sia reciproco, in questi anni abbiamo imparato tanto e ci piacerebbe poterlo condividere .
Ci piacerebbe che chi venga possa dare suggerimenti per la creazione dell orto, tema su cui siamo principianti ma qualsiasi altro suggerimento é più che benvenuto . -

- We need a hand with fencing off our property to enclose it and restrict access by animals or people.
- Setting up the vegetable patch for winter; we’re open to new techniques and suggestions.
- Finishing the construction of a small terrace in the garden; we’re open to suggestions or alternative techniques.
The various tasks will depend on how long you’re staying; we’ll organise the work accordingly.
-Abbiamo bisogno di una mano a recintare la nostra proprietà per chiuderla e limitare l'accesso di animali o persone .
-creare l'orto per inverno, siamo aperti a tecniche nuove , e a suggerimenti

The house where you’ll be staying is an Asturian horreo, which Andrea usually uses as a study when there are no guests. It measures around 20 square metres and has a terrace with the most beautiful view on the whole property.
Inside the horreo there’s a huge window with a breathtaking view, a small kitchen and a fridge; the bathroom is downstairs and is external. The bathroom has heating and a shower with piping hot water!
Next to the bathroom, beneath the horreo, we’ve created a relaxation area with a sofa and a table where you can eat or work.
The entire space within the horreo will be at your complete disposal.
Sleeping in the horreo is a truly Asturian experience that not many people have the pleasure of enjoying!
Our guests will have breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Andrea is Italian and loves cooking traditional dishes from her country, amongst other things. We aren’t vegetarians; we eat a bit of everything at every meal. In any case, the house where you’ll be staying has a small kitchen so you can cook or make a coffee whenever you like.
La casa in cui dormirete è un horreo asturiano ,che Andrea solitamente usa come studio quando non ci sono ospiti . È grande di circa 20 mq con terrazza con la vista più bella di tutta la proprietà.
Nell'horrro c'è una grandissima finestra con una veduta mozzafiato , una piccola cucina , frigorifero e il bagno rimane al piano di sotto ed è esteriore . Nel bagno c'è riscaldamento e doccia con acqua caldissima!
Al lato del bagno, sotto l horreo abbiamo creato una zona relax con divano e tavolo per poter mangiare o lavorare
Lo spazio dell horreo sarà vostra completa disposizione.
Dormire è viere nell' horreo é una vera esperienza asturiana che non in tanti hanno il piacere di vivere!
I nostri ospiti avranno colazione pranzo e cena inclusi, Andrea é italiana e ama cucinare cucina tipica del suo paese come altre cose, non siamo vegetariani , mangiamo di tutto a tutti i pasti. In ogni caso la casa dove domirete ha una piccola cucina per potervi cucinare o fare un caffè in qualsiasi momento lo vogliate -

We live in the heart of the region, about 30 minutes from Oviedo, 35 from Gijón, an hour from the Picos de Europa and an hour from the airport… and the Parque de Redes is right next door.
The natural surroundings are just as fantastic as the food; if you love these things, you certainly won’t get bored!
You’ll need a car here; it takes about 30 minutes on foot or 7 minutes by car to reach public transport, but in the village below there are both trains and buses.
If, on the other hand, you’d like to explore the area above our house, there’s a dolmen about an hour’s walk away and various woodland trails – ideal places to relax and unwind
Viviamo nel centro della regione, a circa 30 minuti da Oviedo ,35 da Gijón e, una ora da picos d'Europa e una ora dall'aeroporto.. e il parco de redes è giusto qui al lato.
La natura e fantastica almeno quanto il cibo, sicuramente se siete amanti di queste cose non vi annoierete!
Qui avete bisogno della macchina, per arrivare ai mezzi pubblici ci vogliono circa 30 minuti a piedi e 7 in auto, però nel paese qui sotto avete sia treno che autobus.
Se invece vorrete stare in zona sopra a casa nostra c'è un dolmen a circa un ora di camminata e vari cammini nel bosco , luoghi ideali per rilassarsi e disconnettersi . -
