We are looking for volunteers to make our ecolodge an even more unique place. We are surrounded by amazon forest with jaguar, bear, tapir, 5 species of monkey and more than 450 species of birds.
The ecolodge is sustainable and complete off grid. It runs on solar panels and we do have (satellite) internet.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

The place is amazing in the middle of prime forest. You will see lots of animals, learn a lot about life in the Amazonian jungle. Soon you will recognize the sounds.
You will also learn how it is to live in the forest and how it is to run an ecolodge in the jungle.
The lodge is well-known among herpetologists, birdwatchers and photographers.Arbeit
The reserve exists for 7 years and the major works have been completed. We still have some projects running, such as a multi-day trail and 2 new cabañas. But many improvements are still needed (especially the trails).
There is plenty to do in the reserve and when there are no tourists, you can basically choose how to help us from the long list we generate each month.
Sometimes you can even help the tourists: explaining the (safety) rules, arranging the accommodation, etc ...
We are looking for - preferably - experienced Workawayers, who speak at least a little Spanish. But the most important is that you are willing to help us. And do not regard it as a cheap holiday.
You have to stay for MINIMUM 1 MONTH as it takes a lot of effort to explain how the lodge works. Also it is better for you as you will be quickly independent and make your own planning.
Because we are limited to only 2 Workawayers, WE CAN'T ACCEPT COUPLES or 2 VOLUNTEERS TRAVELLING TOGETHER.
Check the calendar on the website (green = 2 places available, yellow = 1 place available, red = normally no place available, but you can try).
The food we prepare is delicious. It is mainly Asian food (with Colombian ingredients).
We try to limit the use of meat, as it is one of the main reasons for deforestation in Colombia.
So we support the vegetarian idea and often serve complete vegetarian meals. But we are a lodge for general tourists and we are not strictly vegetarian. So unfortunately we do NOT ACCEPT STRICT VEGETARIAN volunteers as it is impossible to cook 2 different meals.
There are no extra costs involved for you. You pay only for bottled drinks and the horse in case you want your luggage to be brought up.Sprachen

You will stay in a room with 2 beds (see pictures) and you will have it most of the time for yourself or with the other Workawayer.
Because the lodge is made of wood, it is forbidden to smoke. WE DO NOT ACCEPT SMOKING VOLUNTEERS.
Pets are not allowed (as in most reserves).
Because we are already located in the foothills, it is not hot (never airco required) and there are no diseases. Was noch ...
There is a extensive network of trails around the lodge, with swimming holes, waterfalls and look-outs. We have 3 canopy towers (even with accommodation).
Do not expect a social volunteering. We are located in a remote area and sometimes you are there just with 1 or 2 others (especially between June and october). During other periods (especially the end of the year), it can be very busy with tourists.
We have an additional detailed INFOSHEET FOR VOLUNTEERS, which will be sent after acceptance.
The lodge is located at 3 hours from Puerto Asís. So close to Ecuador but far away from Leticia, Brasil and Venezuela.Etwas mehr Information

He is an amazing person. I really miss him.
I really hope he will come back.
Jürgen, Esteban and Maryuri were always in good spirits, easy-going and helpful, and as a volunteer, the work arrangement was perfect for me: I could be independent, picking my own jobs and organizing my own hours, getting help from the team if I needed. During my time here, I built a wall for the natural pool,… read more
