Hi there and thanks for reading....My name is Eleanor. I am a teacher by profession and have spent the last 20 years working as a geography teacher in a variety of schools within UK state education. My main passion has always been travel and I've always worked hard to teach and inspire children to appreciate and understand the beautiful but complex world we live in and to realise that travel is a possibility for everyone if you want it badly enough. Horses are my other passion. I am a horse owner and am lucky to have spent 8 wonderful years with my 18hh thoroughbred, called Scooby, who has stolen everything from me since we first met....my time, money, energy, blood, sweat and tears and most of all my heart! Learning to train and understand such an incredible animal has been the ultimate challenge and privilege...and to be able to train with some first class British event riders and take part in a wide range of show jumping, dressage, cross country clinics through my local riding club, as well as experiencing taking Scooby on holidays to the beach and forests has been the ultimate dream for me. Horses and travel are my absolute passions in life and to be able to combine them both by working abroad with horses is my lifelong goal. I am an adventurous person who loves working and travelling with other people. I have spent a year teaching English in Thailand in my 20's and more recently worked with horses in Chile (on an Arab breeding estancia at the foothills of the Andes) and in Argentina (on a tourist resort in the pampas). I have (somehow) acquired Basic Spanish as I spent 8 months in South America in total. Immersing myself in foreign cultures and sharing new experiences with different people really makes me tick. 'To travel is to live' as the saying goes...this is something I really believe in.

I'm interested in providing homecare services such as cooking, pet and house sitting, gardening, and learning new skills. These can be language skills especially Spanish, German and Arabic.
