Descripción
Our home is surrounded by lush greenery and some wildlife. Your responsibilities will includes taking care of the house & our cat and tortoises. We kindly ask that you keep our furry friend entertained and his litter box clean. The three tortoises will also need daily feeding. In addition, you will be expected to do some light maintenance in various part of the house ( Please check below for our latest project! ) We love good food! So, if you're up for it, we would appreciate it if you could cook us a meal and share your national dish with us.
You will have your own private room and en suite, ensuring that you have plenty of privacy. Our home is conveniently located near the beach, which is just a short 10-minute bike ride away. We also have a fantastic hiking trail close by, perfect for nature enthusiasts.
If you’re lucky, you might spot some of the wildlife that reside in the area, such as hornbills, a changeable hawk, night owl, wild boars, python snakes, monitor lizards, birds, kingfishers, dusky langurs, and short-tailed macaques. There's even a chance of seeing some otters in the park just in front of the house.
In return, we will normally have an excursion (not promise) for you if we are not too occupied with work :)

LATEST PROJECT 2025 ( UPDATED JAN 2025)
We’re looking for one or two helpers (friends or a couple) to take care of our home while we are away from 2–14 March (you must be available for at least these dates). During this time, you’ll be staying with my mom in the same house, but don’t worry—you’ll still have plenty of privacy.
What You’ll Be Doing:
🐱 Caring for Our Cat, Tofu
-Keep him entertained and give him some love.
-Clean his litter box.
-While we have an automatic feeder, please give him wet food in between.
-Occasionally take him out for a bike ride (he has a basket!) or a stroll in his stroller.
🌱 Helping with Our Microgreens
-We grow microgreens for our café, so we’ll need help with watering and harvesting them while we are away
-If you have green fingers, even better!
🏡 Accommodation & Food:
-You’ll be staying in our home with my mom. She’s super friendly and loves company, but you’ll also have your own space.
We can host two people (friends or a couple) if you'd like to bring a travel buddy.
🥗 We’ll stock up the fridge with groceries—you’re free to cook, but please keep the kitchen clean (Mom really appreciates a tidy home and no overnight dishes!).
🚲 Things to Do in Your Free Time:
Bikes are available—you can explore the local area. The beach is just 5–10 minutes away by bike!
🧘♀️ Mom goes to morning yoga, and you’re welcome to join her.
🌍 If you can stay a bit longer after we return, we’d love to take you around and show you the area.

Kuantan is a beach town neighbouring numerous fishing villages and surrounded by lush rainforest. You can go for beach hopping, hiking, trekking, waterfalls, running, diving, swimming, cycling, kite-surfing and surfing. It's not the usual touristic place you'll find in other parts of Malaysia.

The work was straight forward and all of the tools needed were there. Most of the time we were alone doing jobs as shen and jessin have their own restaurant to tend to (tofu was our boss whilst they were away). We played games in the evening and we also cooked a few times.

The house is amazing, easy to get in & out of town. The work system was great & fair. All the tools needed for the job were there. Communication was perfect.
