Beschreibung
We are currently located in a semi rural area near the beach, in Brighton on the outskirts of Dunedin. A stunning coastline to explore. Dunedin is a 15 minute drive away. This house is a lovely home with ocean and rural views.
Brighton is a nice little village, the beach is a short walk away and there is a lovely local cafe and small local store. There is a bus into Dunedin if you do not have your own transport and the bus stop is not very far away, within easy walking distance.
However we are moving to a more rual area, on the sea front, in Taieri Mouth. Dunedin will then be a 30 minute drive away. There is a cafe caravan which is usually open on the weekends, and you can hang out and meet locals over great coffee/food. This house is a very basic cabin. Taieri Mouth is more rural than Brighton and there is no bus service. (You would need to use the Waihola bus stop, 10 minutes drive away from Taieri Mouth. I am happy to collect you from the bus stop.)
I had surgery recently, am on crutches with limited mobility, and cannot lift/carry things. I am supposed to be taking it easy and recovering. I suffer from fatigue and pain.
We are surrounded by a lot of natural beauty and wildlife at both locations.
I am an artist, there are anywhere between one and three children (depending on the time of year) and two cats. It's a home full of fun, love & laughter. Come and join our family for a week or more.
During the dates listed below you will find myself, and one or two children.
Single traveller's, couples and families are welcomed. As are those with their own campervan (but this is certainly not essential).

We can usually only host in the spring & summer months. However sometimes need help in autumn.

--- OPTION ONE ---
Packing Up to Move/Driver/Cook/Housekeeper/Helper --- FLEXIBLE DATES BETWEEN 26 APRIL UNTIL APPROX 25 MAY 2025---
Work during this time could be preparing meals, driving me on errands (in my car), helping around the house, sweeping outdoors, washing windows etc.but most importantly packing a shipping container with household items for our impending move.
I am flexible with the work, and if you don't drive it is not a problem. However, being fit and able to move boxes and household items will be necessary.
Most of the packing into boxes has been done already, but we need help loading the boxes into a shipping container as well as moving the last few household items (table, stools, art supplies, garden equipment and similar) for our move to Taieri Mouth. We will also need to do a final clean at the property we are leaving.
Help is also needed unloading the container from around 23 May.
--- OPTION TWO -- DIY RENOVATIONS --- APPRPOX 25 MAY ONWARDS ---
In Taieri Mouth we need help to move boxes and household items inside. Plus any DIY, building, painting, or decorating work etc you can do would be amazing. It is an old cabin and needs a lot of work.
If you are into DIY and renovations we would love help working on the cabin to bring it up to a more modern standard. This could include painting walls, building work or whatever useful skills you have to offer to pur project.
I have ticked "elderly companion" as I sometimes need help running errands and driving places as I have restricted mobility. I also suffer chronic pain & fatigue which can make my days very limited at times. (I do not need anyone personal care, just general help).

Unterkunft
Brighton: Own or shared bedroom, shared bathroom in 4 bedroom modern house with rural coastal sea views.
Taieri Mouth: Own or shared bedroom, tiny shared bathroom in small 2 bedroom old cabin. Basic but beautiful rural coastal sea views. Limited rain water collected for showering, outdoor long drop toilet, limited cooking facilities, dated decore in need of modernizing. Beautiful views, but very basic living.
Either location welcomes those in their own campervan, but it is not essential you have one.
