It was a pleasure to host Vivian and hear about her adventures and plans for the future. She worked really hard sanding down wood, painting and repairing some stone work - she would be welcome back anytime and Was an absolute pleasure to host .

My experience staying with Paul was really extent and I can recommend it to every worky :) Paul welcomed me to his house and into the beautiful village with open arms and was a terrific host. We had wonderful chats and, overall, just a really pleasant time. Paul is currently renovating his lowly château and has great plans for it in the future. He

It was a real pleasure to stay with Paul in Saint-Gervais and we'd recommend him as a host to anyone!
The little village and the old barn are wonderful, inspiring places, where you can feel history mixed with local people living their everyday, peaceful life. You can walk there for hours, every time noticing some more beautiful details and

On top of that there is Paul - he was our ninth host, and definitely one of the best! We appreciate the atmosphere he creates in his place, very relaxed and positive, usually with some brilliant music on (one evening we've shared all together some of our favourite bands). There was always plenty of food, we've tried local wine, Paul was taking a good care of us, he was even bringing us tea and coffee while we were working, not to mention some sweet french snacks. We've trurly enjoyed the conversations, which were enriching and with a big dose of amazing british sense of humour :) When some friends visited us during our stay with Paul there was no problem for him that we worked in some different hours than previously agreed - we're really thankful for that. And lots of other good memories, like going together for a swim in a river, drinking tea on the roof, watching a movie in the evening and so on....
If you'd ever get a chance to stay there we'd absolutely recommend that. Paul has an amazing idea for this place, and we only can hope that we've contributed a little to making his plans become a reality. Hopefully we'll see each again :)Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Marcin and Ewa were absolutely brilliant, It was a real pleasure to host them and I hope they return again one day. They did a brilliant job repairing and painting some old windows and cleaned up a large dusty wall in the barn. They even listened to some old 80s music and shared some great new music with me 'Cinamon Gum' - very funky band ! - Ewa

I would thoroughly recommend Marcin and Ewa to anyone, they are simply lovely people.
Antonina was brilliant
As well as painting walls and working hard in the barn, Antonina still found time to paint some fabulous watercolours which are now hanging on my walls. She also managed to eat some of my first ever carrot cake which was surprisingly good even without all the right ingrediants. We had great fun and Antonina is welcome back

It was a pleasure to meet Paul and spend a week in this lovely french village. I was truly happy to be part of his project. The work I had to do wasn’t hard at all. Mostly glueing and painting the wals. Paul is a friendly, funny guy with a laid back attitude. He even improvised a big table for me, so I could work on my art after we were finished

Vom Host für Workawayer (Hortense)
It was a real pleasure to host Hortense. She did a wonderful job painting the old hallway and turned it in to a light airy space from a dark gloomy stairwell. She also painted some wonderful watercolours of views in and around my barn. She was fun, helpful and smart and is welcome back anytime.

I had a great experience at Paul's barn!, Paul was kind enough to take me on for a short period of time and even began by collecting me (in his charismatic blue convertable 'the blue pearl") well out of his way in beizer when I arrived late in the evening this was much appreciated. we immediately began having a great laugh together and continued

I worked in renovating an older building and bringing it back to life. It's an old authentic building typical of its time. Outside of the renovations, We had many good laughs in his house, at the pub and meeting the locals. Paul and his Aussie crew are all very well traveled and shared many stories from their experiences.
Many Thanks to Paul for the stay and I would recommend Paul to anyone else looking to visit the south of France.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Fantastic workaway experience in a beautiful little French village with a lovely local community of people. Paul's a great bloke, we were mates within the first 15mins of him picking me up. (He drove 1hr to Beziers to pick me up because my train was cancelled, which I really appreciated). Such an easy-going guy to be around and to work with as
… read more well, and knows how to create a work atmosphere with good vibes. We were working on renovating the old barn attached to his house into a creative studio space, and in the 5 days I was there we got so much good work done. But to be honest it really felt like just mucking about with the boys. I learnt a bunch, working on carpentry as well as picking Paul's brain about property development too. The experience has actually inspired me to go and develop those skills further, which I'm really grateful for. Also has to be said that Paul was an excellent host and incredibly generous. He fed us very well, cold beers were always on deck, and he was always attentive to our needs and making sure we felt at home. It's a really lovely project he's working on there and it's gonna be beautiful once it's finished. If you want the chance to contribute to it and enjoy an engaging workaway experience full of learning opportunities and laughs, then reach out to Paul and get involved. Trust me you won't regret it.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
