I hosted Patricia in the month of February, it was cold and wet and so there was a lot of washing floors because of the dogs, but each time with a smile she fixed it. She washed all of my summer crockery at the kitchen after the pool and even when I said stop, do it tomorrow, she continued saying she preffered to start and finish a job, she did

She loves walking and in the afternoon often walked my deaf dog, she fitted in with all of my friends , with a lovely sunny personality.
In actual fact she is a terapist and makes personilized perfumes for you. She has a long conversation with you about your likes and dislikes and then prepares it for you, so most of my friends wanted one!
She is a hard worker and always in a good mood, I would really recommend her to any future hosts.
I was with Linda throughout February, and I can say that it was an unforgettable month for me! The dinners Linda hosts for her friends were a special chapter during these weeks. By the way, she cooks amazingly well (beware of gaining weight because her dishes are truly irresistible 😅). At these dinners, she always made me feel included, making me feel like part of her home, and through that, I met some very special people and made friends that I will surely carry with me for life.
Puglia is a very beautiful place, and I had unforgettable outings there.
I am deeply grateful to Linda and her friends who welcomed me so warmly and made me feel at home.
I hope to return one day.

Linda was very caring, she showed us patience, explained everything and reminded us whatever we had to do for the day. We had some solid duties such as walking the dogs, watering the garden and cleaning the mansion. Linda offered us to take her car anytime so we could travel around beautiful local beaches during our free time. Although we were a bit too young to be a proper company for Linda and her friends, she did her best to acquaint us with them and gave us a great opportunity to meet interesting and kind people. And even though some of them didn’t speak english well, they still wanted to connect with us which we found very precious. Linda is an amazing host and we’re really grateful we got to visit her (and her wonderful animals!) and be of help for our first workaway experience. We would recommend Linda to anyone who’s considering to stay in Marina di Andrano.Dejado por el anfitrión para el workawayer (Roksana)
Roxy and Sonia agrred to come and help in august way back in Feb, but when it started to get exceptionally hot here in June I offered them the possibility of receeding, worried that they wouldnt be able to cope. But they insisted they would be fine. AND they were.
It was their first workaway experience but they came out tops.
We agreed because
… read more of the heat that they would work 2 hours in the morning and 3 in the evening.
They did everything I asked, even hard work that normally would be better for a man.
They sweeped the garden every day, cut grass, cleaned pool, helped me 3 times a week to wash floors in house because of the animals and took the dogs walking every single night. Even washed dishes after a dinner party because my dishwasher was temporily not working.
Anyhthing I asked they did and they did it more than well.
They are excellent workers and nothing was too difficult for them, I would sincerely take them if they wish to come back and would certainly recommend them to any other hosts.
Being so young and so willingly are excellent qualities.
Our month-long stay with Linda had so many advantages that it is really hard to list them all. There was only one disadvantage - Linda is a heavy smoker, which she did not mention on her profile and which bothered us, as non-smokers, a bit.
A beautiful villa located in the Apulian countryside, surrounded by olive groves, 800 m as the crow flies
… read more from the sea with the amazing Grotta Verde, and a few kilometers away the charming Acquaviva bay. On the property there is a well-kept and varied garden, a swimming pool (practically only at our disposal) and 5 very nice dogs (Bimbo!) and 15 cats (Bimba!). We were given a small functional house at the back of the garden for exclusive use, which provided comfort and intimacy.
Linda showed us a lot of trust and gave us a lot of freedom - we practically did whatever we wanted and whenever we wanted. Our tasks were very easy and relaxing - taking care of the garden, the pool and fixing various things. During Linda's 2-day absence, we also had to look after her animals, which was pure pleasure.
Linda is a great cook, we got Italian dishes (parmigiana, panna cotta!) and Scottish cuisine, and we gained a bit of weight there :) Since Linda is a member of the local agricultural cooperative, we always had access to fresh and organic vegetables, fruits and preserves.
Linda was a very generous hostess. She constantly made sure that we didn't overwork ourselves and weren't hungry. Whenever we wanted, she would lend us her car, and we also had 2 bikes at our disposal. Thanks to this, we had the chance to visit the nearby historic cities and towns, and there really is something to see there (Lecce - the baroque pearl of the south, Otranto, Gallipoli, Leuca, Tricase...).
At Linda's parties, to which we were regularly invited, in addition to delicious food, we had the opportunity to meet many of her friends from Italy and all over Europe, and also improve our English and Italian. These meetings were very educational and interesting for us.
A month with Linda passed quickly and intensively and sometimes we had the impression that there were simply too many attractions to try and touch everything (for example, we didn't have time to sail on the sea by boat).
To sum up - if you like animals, the countryside, the sea and working with plants and want to get to know Salento from the inside - workaway with Linda will be PERFECT. We recommend it wholeheartedly!
What can I say, there are no words to express how good they are or my gratitude to them.
If they could have I would have loved them to come and live with me.
Not only did they look after my garden and in a meticulous fashion, even Agnieska pruned my trees! Janus on the other hand is a miracle worker, he fixed my dishwasher that hadnt worked for 2
… read more years, he fixed all my cupboard doors in the kitchen and put magnets in, that meant they stayed closed, he fixed a couple of petrol heaters that would have cost me a fortune to fix, repaired the water tubes that go around the pool in the winter AND even fixed a nespresso machine from a friend of me that was totally not working, And the list goes on and on.
There is nothing that they are not able to do.
Thank you Agnieska and Janus.
They never looked at the clock, something had to be done they did it, I even had to insist that they take time off and go to the beach.
I caught Agnieska working one evening at 9 with a head torch taking care of the gereniums and she wouldn't stop even if I told her it was late.
They came to my dinner parties and were excellent company, extrmely cultured and very interesting for my guests.
Hosts, if you're reading this pls don't offer them Sept and October 2025 as I really want them to come back!Comentarios

I have october free because I was hoping he would come back but he wants to visit crete, still hoping.
Pete is not just a great workawayer, but a great companion, so I hope whoever reads this have the opportunity that I had to meet him. You will find him fantastic
Our first Workaway assignment with Linda felt a bit like winning the lottery because we had such a wonderful time.
Linda’s villa is a beautiful oasis in Salento. We stayed in seperate accomodation away from the main house which was extremely comfortable and we often felt like it was more like being at our own private resort than doing a Workaway

Linda was extremely generous and welcoming. She loves cooking and wine and we enjoyed wonderful meals together . We were invited to her birthday party, friend’s parties and other social events and were made to feel like her friends. She lent us her car and encouraged us to explore the countryside. We really enjoyed going on shopping expeditions to buy various supplies and items needed at the villa.
The tasks we completed on a daily basis included pool and garden maintenance; tasks like collecting leaves, pruning plants, mowing the lawn and keeping the pergola area tidy. There were lots of other handyman jobs that needed doing and Linda was always very fair in the time she asked us to work giving us plenty of time to relax.
Linda has numerous animals and we enjoyed walking her dogs and helping to care for them as well.
The villa is in the countryside, an easy 1.5km walk to the nearest village, a little further to the beach and an hours drive to Lecce. It is a beautiful place to stay and would suit people who enjoy good food and wine, a quiet pace of life and love cats and dogs. We loved our time there.
Well what can I say, it was their first experience but for me it was a life changer!!!!
They never looked at the watch whatever there was to do they did it and more often than not before I EVEN ASKED THEM.

I can't believe how lucky I have been to have them.
They took my dogs walks nearly everyday, and love them as I do.
Geraldine even cooks great meals, because I work late she often organised dinner, well thats a win.
But she was always ready to muck in, swept the garden, trimmed the gerenium flowers, watered the garden and I have a really big garden. She even fixed zips on my cushions after I had washed them because the tailor had cut the zips too short and so they were broken, if I had to take them back it would have cost me a fortune.
I often had dinner parties and they fitted in wonderfully, very discreet but participated marveously.
They came because they wanted to live real life in an Italian surroundings rather than stay just the pair of them on holiday in a hotel room and they did just that, I sent them shopping for anything and everthing and they came back always with my best interest at heart.
What can I say, I give my utmost blesssing and if anyone is thinking of contacting them rest assured you will definately not be disappointed.

Really interesting person who drove on a motobike from Finland last october and left his bike here and came back at the beginning of April, because you are only allowed to leave one feedback I wanted it to be complete so waited till he came back. He has lived here more like a friend and doesnt ever look at the clock, I told him to have sat and sunday off but he didnt care because he looks after your house as if it was his own.
He lived in the pool house but we ate together and he is most discreet, but has excellent conversation when he is with you.
He loves hiking and does the most amazing journeys by himself with a backpack in some most desolate and difficult conditions, in actual fact he is taking a long journey home through some countries where there will be 50 cm of snow, on a motobike!!!!
As for work, he redid the roof with cement grouting stone sealing joint and with a special sealing paint, a very nasty job, especially under the apulian heat, he emptied the pool hydrowashing it all and hydrowashed the whole garden, painted chairs, fixed and varnished garden furniture, clued wooden cupboards that were splitting, fixed hanging wall garden that was coming away from wall and the list goes on and on,,,, And what was excellent was that he did everything with extreme precision and craftmanship.
He eats everything and makes your most simple meals seem like a masterchef deal.
I have asked him to come back whenever he wishes, but he likes travelling the world, although he says he may come back in october.
Fouko, you are most welcome whenever you wish, thank you.

Linda has several pets. Friendly dogs and cats are enjoying the calm of the house and the garden. There is space for everyone.
Linda is also an excellent chef with proved knowledge of Italian kitchen. we were lucky to enjoy her delicious meals on daily basis. Linda often invited her friends for dinner party which provided an excellent opportunity to hear more about the region and its activities. You are also welcome to practise your own cooking skills if you like.
I mainly worked in the garden and with small DIY projects and I really enjoyed my tasks.
Salento in Southern Italy has a wonderful Mediterranean climate. My stay in October was no exception. We enjoyed continuous sunshine and nice temperatures.
We often utilized the warm evenings enjoying dinners outside by the beautiful garden.
I liked to go hiking on the marked hiking routes closer to the sea shore. The paths lead you through the olive groves and small idyllic towns.
I can highly recommend Linda as Workaway Host.
I’m also planning to visit Linda again in the future.
