Our hostel is located in Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro, right next to lapa, the main party area of the city.
We are a typical backpackers hostel with a chilled out atmosphere.
We have three shared dorms and three private rooms. The house has many common areas and several outside areas to chill out.

Helping with Tourists
Working and living with people from different cultures and backgrounds requires a very unique sense of community. We want to build a space where people can learn and cooperate together.
We love arts, cooking together, playing music, creative ideas, building from recycled materials, nature and animals. We make furniture out of broken things, have plenty of paintings and works of graffiti spread about the house and still some blank walls waiting for good ideas.
We host some arts events and we have a music room with different instruments available to everyone who wants to express themselves through music.
We are located in Santa Teresa which is well known for being the most artistic neighborhood attracting street artists and musicians from all over the world.
We are looking for someone to stay at least ONE MONTH.
The person we are looking for must speak English and Portuguese or Spanish. If you speak Spanish we understand that you will get to communicate in Portuguese pretty quick.
Shift: the reception shift includes answering tourist's questions, performing checkins and checkouts, looking after the house and making a nice atmosphere by talking to guests, sharing your experiences.
We split the shift in the week in a way you would have 3 or 4 days of help so you could have time off to see the city and travel around.
english, portuguese, spanish, german, french
For our staff members we have a 4 bed dorm and a two bed dorm for a total of six workers. The rooms have closets and drawers to store your stuff.
The cultural diversity of Rio de Janeiro is infinite. There are always events going on in the city, often also for free. There are plenty of museums and cultural centres.
Obviously there are the picturesque beaches. Rio is surrounded by hills where hikes can be done and beautiful views can be appreciated.
During the pre carnival time it's possible to go watch the rehearsals of the carnival groups. It is also possible to take for example four days off and take a trip to Ilha Grande, a beautiful island located 4h away from Rio.
There are many more things that can be done. See you soon!
