    Description

Hi there! My name is Denise. I am married to Diarmuid and we have 2 young adult children, Róisín and Dara. I run an award-winning bed and breakfast on the magnificent Dingle Peninsula on the West Kerry coast of Ireland. In 2021 our place was named Farmhouse B&B of the Year for Co. Kerry by the EU Business News. We are so excited and proud to accept this award. The other family members are involved in their own projects at this stage and so I need a helping hand to run my business efficiently and to maintain the high standards for which we are renowned:)

Our aim is to offer our guests a truly memorable experience that will stay with them forever:) In order to ensure this, we need helpers who are committed to fulfilling that objective and who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure our guests leave happy and contented. The extra mile could be something as simple as a smile:) We also require our work- aways to be willing, to be motivated when on duty and to be prepared to get stuck in wherever and whenever the need arises!
We have only four rooms in total available to our guests, all finished to a high standard. We will be delighted to have you share in our daily routine and to have you help us in carrying out our duties.

Our location is also unique in that we are nestled between Mt. Brandon (Ireland's 2nd highest mountain) to the East and the Wild Atlantic Ocean to the West. Not alone that but we live in the heart of the West Kerry Gaeltacht - an Irish-speaking area and so Irish is the first language of our house. That said, we are also fluent in English!!

If you would like the opportunity to help and experience life in a unique and authentic bed and breakfast, please feel free to contact me:)

I look forward to hearing from you:) Denise

Dear Travellers - You will gain valuable experience in a variety of skills. Being part of our team guarantees you a unique experience - an opportunity to hear the Irish language spoken firsthand, a wonderful chance to explore the beautiful peninsula that is the Dingle peninsula, and to gain valuable knowledge on our heritage and culture through the endless archaeological and historical sites that are dotted all around this peninsula. We have intermediate certification for Sustainability and as part of the team you may choose to engage in some of the on-line training courses we have access to in order to deepen your understanding of our sustainability goals, some of which we have achieved but many more yet to be met. Making our business a sustainable one in the future is very important to us. It is however a journey and not a destination and there is no pressure on any of our workaways to take any of the courses.

A bicycle or some mode of transport is essential to get around. Even though we are only 10 minutes drive from Dingle Town, you would not be walking in and out there in a hurry - 12 km! The bus transport service is available 4 times a week. If I am heading to town I can of course give you a lift if required. Please note that you may be on duty when I am heading to town and so it will not always work in your favour!. We will have a bicycle available for you for the duration of your stay.
