  Hello, we are a sustainable living project consisting of five people Johannes, Claudia, Frank, Petra and Joanna. We mainly come from the music and healing field and came together in Germany through the study time and a meditation group.
  In 2023 we acquired a beautiful 2-hectare quinta in the north of Portugal on which we are now realizing our dream of an independent and sustainable living project.
  Our goal is to create a space and offerings for music, art, healing, spirituality, self-development and self-expression, nature enthusiasts, permaculture and sustainability.
  
  About Us:
  We all come from northern Germany and part of us met in study time and a meditation group. When we were able to spend two month together in the beautiful Douro Valley, we all fell in love with this region and decided to set up a project here together as a group. Since then we have been working together to make this dream a reality.
  
  Johannes is originally a professional trumpeter player, has training in music therapy and creative body therapy and is now an enthusiastic permaculture explorer in our self-sufficient garden and forest garden.
  
  Claudia is a trained musician with the instruments saxophone, clarinet and flute. She is also a trained Qigong teacher and is currently training to become a naturopath. Like all of us, she has completed the URSA training. She takes care of our homepage and the marketing.
  
  Frank originally studied medicine and then discovered his passion for Chinese medicine. He and his wife Petra ran a successful practice for traditional Chinese medicine and alternative healing methods for almost 20 years before they decided to come to Portugal with this group two years ago to launch this project.
  
  Petra is a physiotherapist, osteopath and cranio sacral therapist. Together with her husband Frank she joined this project and flourishes now in our garden.
  
  Joanna is a trained musician as well and plays the trombone, tuba and sousaphone. She is a member of the Portuguese band Balklavalhau and is currently training to become a sound engineer and has completed training as a radio operator.
  
  
  Our Quinta:
  Is a beautiful 2.3 hectare piece of land with a breathtaking view into the valley. An impressive mansion, which is currently being renovated, will offer numerous opportunities for courses, workshops and seminars in the future. We are renovating a second building as a residential building for ourselves. There are also several subsidiary buildings, including a building with two composting toilets, a shower and an improvised kitchen.
  Our vegetable meadow contains 50 planted fruit and nut trees as well as a mandala bed. In the end of 2024 we plantet another 80 trees for our food forest. Since the end of 2023 there has been a beautiful parking lot that can also accommodate mobile homes or caravans. We are still camping on our campsite until the accommodation buildings are ready. The rest of the area is still quite overgrown, but our goal for this winter is to clear most of the land.
  
  
  Ideal for us:
  Big hearted, free spirits who can get things done.
  Since we are still renovating, we would be happy to receive any help, especially expertise in craftsmanship, knowledge of permaculture, gardening, etc.
  
  
  
  Languages:
  
  We all speak German as our mother tongue and most of us also speak very good English.
  Some of us speak Portuguese reasonably well.
  
  
  
  Type of exchange:
  Full board = sleeping and parking space + 3 vegetarian meals (lots of organic) per day.
  → max. 5 hours a day for 5 days a week.*
  
  Half board = sleeping and parking no meals.
  → max. 3 hours a day for 5 days a week
  
  *Families choosing full board will be asked to make an additional contribution (in the form of money or work) for the children's meals.

  Hallo, wir sind ein sustainable living Projekt bestehend aus fünf Leuten Johannes, Claudia, Frank, Petra und Joanna. Wir kommen hauptsächlich aus dem Musik und Heilbereich und haben uns in Deutschland über eine Meditationsgruppe zusammengefunden.
  Wir haben 2023 eine schöne ca. 2 Hektar große Quinta im Norden Portugals erworben auf der wir nun unseren Traum von einem unabhängigen und nachhaltigen Lebensprojekt verwirklichen.
  Unser Ziel ist es, einen Raum und Angebote für Musik, Kunst, Heilung, Spiritualität, Selbstentwicklung und Selbstentfaltung, Naturbegeisterte, Permakultur und Nachhaltigkeit zu erschaffen.
  
  Über uns:
  Wir kommen alle aus dem Norden Deutschlands und haben uns im Rahmen einer Meditationsgruppe kennengelernt und meditieren nun schon viele Jahre gemeinsam. Als wir zusammen ein zweimonatiges Retreat im wunderschönen Douro-Tal verbringen durften, haben wir uns alle in diese Region verliebt und beschlossen gemeinsam als Gruppe hier ein Projekt auf die Beine zu stellen. Seither arbeiten wir gemeinsam daran diesen Traum Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen.
  
  Johannes ist ursprünglich Trompeter, hat eine Ausbildung in Musiktherapie und kreativer Leib Therapie und ist inzwischen begeisterter Permakultur Anwender in unserem Selbstversorger Garten und Waldgarten.
  
  Claudia ist studierte Musikerin und beherrscht die Instrumente Saxophon, Klarinette und Querflöte. Sie ist außerdem gelernte Qigong Lehrerin und bildet sich momentan zum Heilpraktiker fort und hat wie wir alle eine komplette URSA Ausbildung absolviert. Sie kümmert sich um unsere Homepage und das Marketing.
  
  Frank ist ursprünglich studierter Mediziner und hat dann seine Leidenschaft für die Chinesische Medizin entdeckt. Er führte mit seiner Frau Petra zusammen knapp 20 Jahre eine erfolgreiche Praxis für Traditionelle Chinesische Medizin und alternative Heilmethoden bevor er sich vor drei Jahren dazu entschied mit dieser Gruppe nach Portugal zu kommen um gemeinsam dieses Projekt ins Leben zu rufen.
  
  Petra ist gelernte Physiotherapeutin, Osteophatin und Cranio Sacral Therapeutin.
  
  Joanna spielt die Posaune, die Tuba und das Sousaphon und ist Mitglied der portugiesischen Band Balklavalhau. Sie macht aktuell eine Ausbildung zur Toningenieurin und hat eine Ausbildung als Funkerin hinter sich.
  
  
  Unsere Quinta:
  Ist ein wunderschönes 2,3h großes Stück Land mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht ins Tal. Ein imposantes Herrenhaus, welches gerade renoviert wird, soll in Zukunft zahlreiche Möglichkeiten für Kurse, Workshops und Seminare bieten. Ein zweites Gebäude wird grade als Wohnhaus renoviert. Des Weiteren befinden sich noch mehrere kleine Nebengebäude auf dem Gelände. Darunter ein Gebäude mit zwei Komposttoiletten, einer Dusche und einer improvisierten Küche.
  Auf unserer Gemüsewiese befinden sich 50 gepflanzte Obst- und Nussbäume sowie ein Mandala-Beet. Ende 2024 haben wir 80 neue Bäume für unseren Waldgarten gepflanzt. Seit Ende 2023 gibt es einen schönen Parkplatz, auf dem auch Wohnmobile oder Wohnwagen Platz finden können. Wir wohnen aktuell auf unserem Zeltplatz bis die Bauarbeiten an den Wohngebäuden abgeschlossen sind. Der Rest des Geländes ist bis jetzt noch ziemlich verwildert, aber unser Ziel ist es diesen Winter ein Großteil davon frei zu machen.
  
  
  Ideal für uns:
  Herzliche Freigeister, die auch mal ordentlich anpacken können.
  Da wir gerade noch im Aufbau sind, freuen wir uns über jede Hilfe vor allem über Expertisen in handwerklichem Geschick, Kenntnisse von Permakultur, Garten und Co.
  
  
  
  Sprachen:
  
  Wir sprechen alle fließend Deutsch und die Meisten von uns auch sehr gutes Englisch.
  Teile von uns sprechen einigermaßen gut Portugiesisch .
  
  
  
  Art des Austausches:
  Vollpension = Schlaf- und Parkplatz + 3 vegetarische Mahlzeiten (viel Bio) pro Tag.
  → max. 5 Stunden am Tag für 5 Tage die Woche.*
  
  Halbpension = Schlaf – und Parkplatz exklusive Verkostung.
  → max. 3 Stunden am Tag für 5 Tage die Woche
  
  *Familien, die Vollpension wählen, werden um einen zusätzlichen Beitrag (in Form von Geld oder Arbeit) für die Mahlzeiten der Kinder gebeten.

  We all love good food so you have the chance to enjoy good vegetarian cuisine with us. We are also happy to share our knowledge about permaculture, sustainability, traditional Chinese medicine, spirituality, philosophy, sound engineering, brass instruments, free learning methods, alternative healing, nutrition and all sorts of other exciting topics.

  Ayuda

  We are planing and creating a large vegetable garden that will provide us with vegetables throughout the year. So at the moment we are still in the planing phase and finishing the mandala bed but soon we will start planting and creating several additional fields for example for potato`s and corn. There will also build a mushroom place for some edible mushrooms to grow.
  
  We are also still cleaning the land mainly from brambles and cutting some trees down.
  
  We would be happy to have active hands and, above all, a wealth of experience in planting and growing so that we can enjoy our own fresh fruits and vegetables.

  Wir sind grade dabei einen großen Gemüsegarten anzulegen, der uns das ganze Jahr über mit Gemüse versorgen soll. Im Moment befinden wir uns noch in der Planungsphase und stellen das Mandala-Beet fertig, aber bald werden wir mit der Bepflanzung beginnen und mehrere zusätzliche Äcker für zum Beispiel Kartoffeln und Mais anlegen. Außerdem werden wir ein Pilzecke anlegen, in dem essbare Pilze wachsen sollen.
  
  Wir sind auch noch dabei, das Land von Brombeeren zu befreien und einige Bäume zu fällen.
  
  Wir würden uns über tatkräftige Hände und vor allem über einen großen Erfahrungsschatz beim Pflanzen und Anbauen freuen, damit wir unser eigenes frisches Gemüse genießen können.

  Alojamiento

  We currently have two options for camping with us.
  On the one hand, we have a paved parking lot with access to electricity where you can park your caravan, bus or motorhome.
  On the other hand, we have a nice, large lawn for tent enthusiasts also with the possibility for electricity.
  
  For everyone who camps with us, we have a house with two composting toilets and a shower.
  There is currently an improvised kitchen in one of the buildings where we cook together. And a place to sit outside to eat.
  
  Because of the construction there is a lot of improvisation going on at the moment. We sincerely hope that you are okay with the circumstances and still consider to visit us :)

  Wir haben zur Zeit zwei Optionen zum Campen bei uns.
  Zum Einen haben wir einen befestigten Parkplatz mit einer Stromquelle auf dem man mit seinem Wohnwagen, Bus oder Wohnmobil stehen kann.
  Zum Anderen haben wir eine hübsche große Wiese für Zeltbegeisterte auf der es auch die Möglichkeit für Strom gibt.
  
  Für alle die bei uns campen, haben wir ein Häuschen in dem zwei Komposttoiletten und eine Dusche zur Verfügung stehen.
  Aktuell gibt es eine improvisierte Küche in einem der Gebäude, wo wir zusammen kochen.
  
  Generell ist bei uns momentan durch die Baustelle sehr viel improvisiert. Wir hoffen natürlich sehr das dich das nicht davon abhält uns trotzdem zu besuchen :)

  There is a bus stop nearby that takes you to the next larger town (Marco de Canaveses). From Marco de Canaveses there is a good train connection directly to the center of the bustling city of Porto. Here you can see all kinds of sights such as museums, churches, traditional fishing boats and markets. The beach on the Atlantic is also not far.
  In the neighbourhood we have cute little beaches on both the Douro and the Tamega river and several beautiful waterfalls. There are also many hidden hiking trails in the beautiful green mountain landscape. There are small cafes everywhere where you can enjoy a coffee and the typical Portuguese Pastel de Nata. Nearby is the famous wine-growing region of the Douro Valley, which produces world-famous red wine and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  In der Nähe gibt es eine Bushaltestelle mit der Sie in die nächst größere Stadt (Marco de Canaveses) fahren können. Von Marco de Canaveses aus gibt es eine gute Zugverbindung direkt ins Zentrum der wunderschönen Stadt Porto. Hier können Sie sich alle Arten von Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Museen, Kirchen, traditionelle Fischerboote und Märkte anschauen. Auch der Strand am Atlantik ist nicht weit entfernt. Bei uns vor Ort gibt es kleine niedliche Strände sowohl am Douro als auch am Tamega und mehrere Wasserfälle. Außerdem befinden sich in der hier vorherrschenden wunderschönen grünen bergigen Landschaft viele versteckte Wanderwege. Überall gibt es kleine Cafés, in denen du einen Kaffee und ein typisch portugiesischen Pastel de Nata genießen kannst. In der Nähe befindet sich das berühmte Weinanbaugebiet des Douro Tals, welches weltbekannten Rotwein produziert und ein UNESCO Weltkulturerbe ist.
