Beschreibung
Our club and hostel are located in Udabno, in the middle of a Georgian semi-desert. You'll be given the opportunity to live in a stunning place, meet many interesting travellers The help needed will be diversified: you will be given much space and lots of freedom.
We are looking for one or two people.
We need somebody for rather long-term volunteering.
The work in the summer is very intensive sometimes. You should be very flexible, not expecting set hours of working. The way we work here is based on mutual respect and solidarity. Sometimes it is much more busy, sometimes we have loads of free time. We always try to help each other, accept bad and good moments of everybody and treat ourselves as a family rather than co-workers.
If you expect having a regular job here with set hours, then it's not a place for you. If you want fully immerse yourself in the culture and the specific vibe of this place - then it's a place for you.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO STAY DURING THE WINTERTIME:
The winter time is harsh in Udabno. During that period you will probably not stay me and Ksawery (the owners) as we will be in Poland (Christmas time) so you would have to stay with one or maybe two other volunteers. You should know how to put a fire in the fireplace and be a rather confident and psychologically strong person :) It may happen that there will be a problem with electricity or water. You should be ready to contact us and ask for help (even neighbours) instead of escaping from Udabno :)
It may also happen that nothing from the above will happen so you would have nice time in Udabno without much job to do, just enjoying the dessert life. But we just have to make sure that you are this kind of person who is not afraid of challenges :)

You'd live in a small village of Udabno with around 200 displaced inhabitants (originally coming from Svanetia) who even have their own language. At times it may not be easy but you'll definitely have a genuine cultural experience.

Arbeit
You'd help with:
- welcoming guests (very few during winter time),
- chopping the wood and putting it into hearth,
- cleaning if there are some guests staying for night,,
- chatting with guests :)
- from time to time having a look at the two small creatures called children
Recently we have opened an art stage gallery so it is possible that you'd participate in some interesting events :)

The memories from this place in Udabno are some of the best I've had from my travels in the Caucasus.
The people the nature, the food etc. were all extraordinary. The animals's shenanigans, the long drives to Sagarejo in the '70 VW bus, the lazy afternoons drinking beer and sitting by the fire. Classic, top-of-the-shelf volunteering stuff!
