Guests will be immersed in local culture. Anything from campfires on the beach to hiking the local trails to checking out the local music scene. The operations manager is continually looking for ways to make the experience enjoyable in and outside the centre. We are right on Kootenay Lake, the views are breathtaking and nothing more refreshing then jumping in for an afternoon swim.

This summer we are working on developing a 3/4 acre organic vegetable garden, building a greenhouse, and building trails, bridges, and a labyrinth on the property. 30 yards of top soil have been delivered for the garden space and more is coming soon. Irrigation pipes have been laid in the ground under the garden spacen This month we will be working on shaping beds, installing a cistern and drip irrigation, laying mulch for paths between the beds, and then planting.
There is a separate building for our helpers. It consists of upstairs area with individual bunks and a patio. There is a studio with a full kitchen. There is an brand new out building with a shower and bathroom facilities. Help is welcome as host family as we all work together in meal preparation and clean up, Some meals are eaten together with the Hosts, Some meals prepared independently.
We are 7 minutes South of Kaslo and 15 minutes North of Ainsworth Hot springs. There is amble hiking, biking and canoeing accessible from the property and in the surrounding area. The Host is a trained chef and happy to give lessons. The operations manager generally has his finger on the pulse of Kaslo, and willing to take anyone willing along for a Kootenay Culture ride :)
