New permaculture project in Campagne, France

  Hi all !! You are all welcome to this brand new project. The idea here is to welcome people from all over the world to develop, work and exchange on new eco-sustainable techniques, low tech, permaculture in general. There are many projects and I will list them later but in the meantime I will describe myself quickly! My name is Brice I am 38 years old, I speak French, Spanish and English so we should hopefully understand each other. I volunteered all over the world for 3 years to discover new construction techniques and organization. This trip also gave me time to ask myself the right questions and I chose to completely reorient myself. Healthily feeding the people around me while being as autonomous and resilient as possible, here are 3 things that are really close to my heart and which will be at the center of the project. The idea is not to engage in extreme survivalism but only to prepare for geopolitical and climatic change that may be faster than we think. Take inspiration from what already exists, transform in your own way and adapt to our microcosm. When everything works well then, we will perhaps inspire others but in the meantime, there is work to be done, people. In terms of the organization of all this, having been an employee in the past and then a business manager, I understood that our model of organization and hierarchy in a company was completely obsolete and that we absolutely had to review everything. I am therefore going to set up self-governance at the place inspired by Frederic Laloux's book “reinventing organizations” which completely captivated me. We will have time to talk about it again. In the meantime, here is the list of the different activities planned on site in 2025
  - 6,000m² of permaculture in Syntropy (part 2)
  - 3,000m² of mushroom farm because the farm is located on a former mine. (construction and preparation)
  - Beekeeping: 8 hives this year
  - Medicinal and aromatic plant area (only maintenance and minor preparation required because the plant is young)
  - 10 laying hens
  - Continue and expand mushroom production in the quarry (they're only oyster and shitake mushrooms! Stop dreaming 😊)
  - Create a new chicken coop
  - Rainwater harvesting work
  - Prepare the space with all your ideas.
  
  For the time spent helping each other, you will accompany me for approximately 25 hours a week. You will receive 3 meals per day, room and board, and laundry. There are large, quiet spaces on site; you'll be in the best of the forest! You can have a single room or a place in the dormitory depending on the month. Trucks are of course welcome. July and August will be spent in a tent as the guesthouse is a seasonal rental.
  
  It's a peaceful and quiet place, and I hope it stays that way. Respect and kindness from all are essential. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU.   Salut à TOUS !! Vous êtes tous les bienvenus dans ce tout nouveau projet en Permaculture et Syntropie. Aussi une petite auberge de jeunesse ou « guest house » va ouvrir dans l’année sur le site. L’idée est de pouvoir accueillir des gens du monde entiers désirant découvrir une autre façon de cultiver. Les projets sont nombreux et je vais les énumérer plus tard mais en attendant je me décris rapidement ! Je m'appelle Brice j’ai 38 ans, je parle français, Espagnol et Anglais alors on devrait je l’espère se comprendre. J’ai fait du volontariat un peu partout dans le monde pendant 3 ans pour découvrir de nouvelles techniques de construction et d'organisation. Ce voyage m'a également donné du temps pour me poser les bonnes questions et j'ai choisi de me réorienter complètement. Nourrir sainement les gens qui m'entourent en étant le plus autonome et résilient que possible, voici 3 choses qui me tiennent vraiment à cœur et qui vont être au centre du projet. L'idée n'est pas de faire du survivalisme extrême mais seulement de se préparer à un changement géopolitique et climatique peut être plus rapide que l'on ne le pense. S’inspirer de ce qui existe déjà, transformer à sa manière et s’adapter à notre microcosme. Au niveau de l'organisation, ayant été dans le passé employé puis chef d’entreprise, j’ai compris que notre modèle d’organisation et de hiérarchisation dans une entreprise était complètement obsolète et qu’il fallait absolument tout revoir. Je vais donc mettre en place sur le lieu une auto gouvernance inspirée par le livre de Frederic Laloux « reinventing organisations » qui m’a complètement subjugué. Nous aurons le temps d’en reparler. En attendant, voici la liste des différentes activités prévues sur le lieux en 2025
  - 6000m² de permaculture en Syntropie (partie 2)
  - 3000m² de champignonnière car la ferme est sur une ancienne mine. (construction et préparation)
  - Apiculture 8 ruches cette année
  - Espace plante médicinale et aromatique (seulement entretien et petite préparation car plante jeune)
  - 10 poules pondeuses
  - Continuer et développer la production de champignons dans la carrière, (ce ne sont que des pleurotes et shitake! arrêtez de rêver 😊 )
  - Créer un nouveau poulailler
  - travaux de récupération d’eau de pluie
  - préparer le lieu avec toutes vos idées.
  
  Pour le temps d'entraide, vous m'accompagnerez environ 25 H semaine, vous aurez 3 repas par jours, logé, et blanchi. Sur le site il y a de grands espaces calmes, de la foret vous serez au top ! Vous pourrez avoir une chambre individuelle ou une place dans le dortoir selon le mois. Les camions sont bien sûr acceptés. Juillet Aout se fera en tente car la guest house est en location saisonnière.
  
  C’est un lieu paisible et calme et je souhaiterais qu’il le reste, le respect et la bienveillance de tous sont essentiels, un GRAND MERCI A VOUS. Je suis vraiment désolé pour les enfants et nos compagnons à poiles, mais ils ne sont pas acceptés sauf exception. Et enfin les gros excès d'alcool ne ne sont plus tolérés, UN GRAND MERCI pour votre compréhension :)

Nous sommes dans une région remplie d’histoire, les sites touristiques sont très nombreux, vous ne pouvez qu’apprendre ici !

  Arbeit

  Concerning the help requested it will be varied, in addition to the activities described previously, there will also be ponds to create, manufacture a rainwater recovery system, create a giant swimming pool in the mine, maintenance of the garden , improving the fence, feeding the chickens and fish. Very interesting part, you have to imagine the whole design of the permaculture garden, it will take a lot of imagination and reflection, you are welcome to participate.

  Concernant l’aide demandé elle sera diverse variée, en plus des activités décrites précédemment, il y aura aussi des bassins à créer, fabriquer un système de récupération d’eau de pluie, créer une piscine géante dans la mine, l’entretien du jardin, amélioration de la clôture, nourrir les poules et les poissons.
  Partie très intéressante, il faut imaginer tout le design du jardin en permaculture ainsi que la création de la guest house, il faudra beaucoup d’imagination et de réflexion, vous êtes les bienvenues pour y participer.

  En cuanto a la ayuda solicitada será variada, además de las actividades descritas anteriormente, también habrá que crear estanques, fabricar un sistema de recuperación de agua de lluvia, crear una piscina gigante en la mina, mantenimiento del jardín, mejorar el cerco, alimentación. las gallinas y el pescado.
  Parte muy interesante, tienes que imaginar todo el diseño del jardín de permacultura, hará falta mucha imaginación y reflexión, eres bienvenido a participar.

  There is a large room for you on the ground floor with single beds upstairs, 5 max. You can also access a private room with private bathroom depending on availability. In summer it is possible to pitch your truck or a tent if you wish.
