my stay in this little sanctuary home was very pleasent and relaxing. everything was with good communication, and respect for one another. carolita is a very interesting and welcoming woman and she made everything to make me feel comfortable and to show and tell me everything thats interesting around.

We have loved staying with Carolita and Chris. They are excellent hosts and have been so welcoming to us. We enjoyed getting to meet their wider community of forest regeneration activists and learning about the local flora and fauna.
Carolita is a great cook and we loved spending mealtimes with them.

Our last day was so special as Carolita gave us each a tree to plant so we are connected to the land here and we shared a dinner around the campfire.

Staying with Carolita and Chris was a great experience. They made me feel comfortable in their home from the start. The house has a lot of character and is very cosy with a fire, the verandah is great place to have breakfast or read in the afternoon. My work was in the garden which is a lovely place. Jobs incuded; general garden maintence, whipper snipping, pruning, creating compost pile, creating syntropic raised vegetable bed. As I was relatively inexperienced they were able to offer enough guidance to make me feel comfortable with the work. Working 5hrs a day, start and finish times could be flexible but it was nice to start early and be finished in the afternoon to explore the area / do any personal activities. I was able to borrow a bike to explore a local cycle route.
As hosts, they are very accomodating and will make sure you're comfortable. Carolita is a great cook and we would chat and enjoy meals together in the garden. They are both very interesting people and theres opportunity to learn about healthly sustainable living and aboriginal culture. We would often watch aboriginal films or documentaries in the evening. They offered plenty film, documentary and book suggestions too.
