Uttam is a great host and I felt very comfortable at his place. From him and Sahadev I learnt a lot about the culture and nature of Nepal. They both have a deep knowledge. We cooked together and so I learnt cooking Dal Bhat. We also went on a trip and visited the village Saping, a stunning village in the mountains! It was an unique experience and I would recommend this to everyone. The work was easy and I could decide by myself what I wanted to do. I helped out in the garden and did some marketing for them like creating flyers and optimizing the online presence. Thank you both so much for this time. I really enjoyed it. After breaking two records (longest stay and longest km’s biked) I can truely say that this was an amazing experience. After getting to know Marc and Carlotta they brought me in as one of their own. The work was great and company even better. After finding out my eating habits of a 23 year old bloke, they fed me like an undernourished child😂Surprisingly, after a whole month together we never managed to run out of conversation and shared some very interesting topics. The accomodation was amazing and they really did a good job of looking after me. What a way to start my Workaway experience !! Thanks Marc and Carlotta

How to start!!???? Thanks is not enough...I feel grateful and privileged to have met Margaret and through her, the True Life of Kenya. These few days we shared, I was able to see your important and gigantic work. This woman never stops and if there are challenges, she overcomes them and always moves forward. She welcomes you into her home and makes you feel part of it. She pays attention to every detail to make you feel at home. Not only did I share Workaway work but I also accompanied her to her meetings where I was able to discover Kenyan culture, its traditions...its incredible food. The experience at school with the preschool children is and will be unforgettable...and seeing that thanks to Margaret, they have a plate of food at least once a day, moves your heart. More Margarets are needed in this world and many, many more to support her work. If you come to Kenya, don't miss the opportunity to offer what you are to this giant organization and especially to its heart, Margaret Thanks, thanks, asante asana...few but wonderful days Sabina

Tara and his family are great hosts and very kind. I stayed there for about 6 days and helped in the garden. The work was easy and there was a lot of free time. Tara also organized a safari tour. The surrounding of the housing is beautiful, full of nature and you can walk around. Even the people in the village are super friendly. Thank you so much for this experience!

We spent a little over two weeks at Jono’s place, and we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. It was the perfect place for us to sell our van and wrap up our adventure in New Zealand. During our stay, we helped Jono with gardening and maintenance around his beautiful home, surrounded by nature and peace. He was always kind, respectful, and made us feel at home from the very first day. It was truly the best way to say goodbye to New Zealand, in a calm environment, with great company, and enjoying some unforgettable days.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life ! Edoardo is an amazing host who genuinely cares to make sure you have the best experience possible He is a wealth of knowledge and has such passion for the life he leads, it was truly inspiring to see He taught me so much about farming, cooking, Vita Lenta and community during my stay there, and I got to try out an array of different activities as part of my volunteering Communication was always easy and open, and he was willing to help whenever he could. And the best added bonus, Edoardo’s cooking ! He is an excellent chef, and every meal was as delicious or better than the last So grateful for this experience and I’d definitely recommend to anyone who’s considering it :)

I had such an amazing time at the ranch. Sylvaine and the whole team are such lovely people and I felt super comfortable right away. Everyone is easygoing and the communication was pretty easy since the beginning. Since I could do the required work of getting firewood ready for the winter all by myself it allowed me to be flexible with my schedule, which gave me a freedom I never had at a different Workaway before. Because of that freedom I could work either long or short days and could also take a day off if I felt like that in the morning. On my days off I either went hiking or just hung out at the lodge and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with the fire going inside and the fall colors outside. Also Sylvaine had no problem with me leaving for almost a week during my stay and fly up north which I've decided quite spontaneous. I hope I'll be able to come back another time and explore more of your area in the Yukon and share some more staircase dinners and hot tub sessions with all of you! :))

Lucas is nice and energetic guy. He is fast learner and he helped us in usual hostel tasks: cleaning, garden and reception. His was great with guess and he have very good communication skills, that makes him great for the Hostel atmosphere. We definitely recommend him in any future projects. I only spent a few days at the Camp but met the most inspiring, accepting and gentle people.

Jasper and Harriet were in our house alone for quite some time without us. Although it is hard to trust someone when you are not there, we felt totally safe leaving them there alone with our dogs. We knew that Jasper would be staying at our house for very little time, so Harriet was the one who would essentially do the house sitting. Jasper is a handyman and can fix things, he also helped us fix our old car. Harriet is a person who also enjoys her privacy and also likes to share stories of her life and spent time with us when we were there. We had communication and we felt secure. She is also has a spiritual/free mind. We totally trusted them with the dog, especially Harriet is very gently and know how to deal with them. Furthermore our house was in an excellent condition and the rules were followed. We became friends and we still talk. They are a lovely couple and i am sure that one day we will meet again!

Javier was great help for our hostel. He is nice and easy going person, always ready to help and all the tasks that we give him, he did it in the best possible way. Thank you for the time you spend with us, and we wish you all the best in anything you will do in the future 🙏🤗🥰

I had a wonderful time hosting Johanne. She was very charming, worked hard and helped me a lot around the house, assisting with my small cafe, preparing meals, and getting dirty with with gardening work. I would love to host her again someday.

We greatly appreciated their attentiveness, discretion and efficiency in all the tasks entrusted to them as well as their autonomy. Carlos is very talented in cooking and we feel that he likes it, we enjoyed ourselves! And the conversations are very fluid and interesting, with good listening. The three weeks spent together were very positive in all simplicity! Thank you!

Yi-Chen was very enthusiastic about all the tasks entrusted to her and all the leisure activities offered to her. Her participation and open-mindedness charmed us. We also really appreciated her positivity, her smile and her sense of humor... and also her appetite! It was a pleasure to welcome her and we wish her a beautiful year in France.

I stayed here 3 weeks this september. I've had such a wonderful experience that I was not even away from this place, I'd already planned to come back ! Atte the farmer and Jan the co-farmer (don't really know how to call him, haha) are two amazing people, kind, patient and knowledgeable. I loved the caravan I have been offered as an accomodation, sharing daily life with the community, the saunas, the group hangs out in Helsinki, the pizza day, the bakery workshops, the nice food we were provided, pet sitting Impy, feeding the cows, riding the back of the pickup... even the harvesting day under the rain were cool! all of this the nice and unpressured atmosphere made the working hours being a lot of fun! so thank you for all of this and see you very soon 💐

I stayed at Athir's land for about 6 days. Athir was friendly and caring, and would inquire every day if we were alright and if we needed anything . The place is minutes aways from a serene forest and also a beach. We worked for a day only on the superadobe, as he had to return to work at the city. Work was hard but nothing extreme or unexpected with lots of breaks. the kitchen had a fridge and a stove. we used a composting toilet. I slept in my tent and Athir provided me with a sleeping bag, pillow and mattress. I recommend it others

My experience here was truly special. I stayed for two weeks and felt warmly welcomed from the very first day. The family is kind, open-minded, and always willing to share about farm life and their culture. The gardening work is calm and varied — you learn about plants, sustainability, and enjoy being surrounded by nature. The place is peaceful and beautiful, full of greenery and good energy. The meals are local and plentiful, and there are many moments to talk with the family and understand more about local life. Overall, it was a simple but deeply human experience — perfect if you’re looking for connection with nature, a peaceful environment, and genuine people. Thank you so much, Annette, for your time and for sharing your experience. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the nature surrounding your home and with myself. Every morning we went for a walk in the woods, followed by a moment of meditation accompanied by the purpose of the day, which gave the day a different and more organized interpretation. We cooked a barbecue, visited Annette's friends, visited second-hand stores, and went to the Baltic Sea. I was only there for a week, but it felt like a safe space, open to everyone's interpretation. But the best part is that we were always open to listening to each other attentively and offering helpful or supportive interpretations. Thank you once again. Whit love, Lucas.
