Jono is a very friendly guy, we stayed at his place for almost two months and it was a wonderful stay!
The place is beautiful, quiet and Jono has all the tools you need for any job, including DJ stuff! Lol
We worked together on many things around the house, gardening, painting and organizing… the nearest market and bus stop are 3km away, we
… read more walked once to see them, but Jono always offered to drive us there! If you have a car, it will definitely make it easier to visit the beautiful beaches of NZ, but if you just want a beautiful place to relax, this will also be perfect!

I stayed at Jonathan’s place for 3 weeks. What a pleasant workaway experience! As I was just ending my working holiday in New Zealand, I was so happy to have the opportunity to stay nearby Auckland and have better chance to sell my car. … read more comfortable. My main job was cleaning the forest from fallen branches. On top of that I did some wood stocking and leaves raking. All jobs were easy to do and well explained. Jonathan is very busy person, but he always makes sure you feel comfortable and you have everything you need. Jonathan is an extremely generous host and has a beautiful, spacious, peaceful home. I feel extremely lucky that I found him as my last stay before flying home from Auckland! I and another Workawayer helped out by clearing fallen branches out of the bush, cleaning and stacking wood. He was really flexible about our hours as we were both trying to

It was a pleasure to host Sophie. She is positive, hardworking, and very talented on the guitar and piano. I am very grateful for the work she did clearing our bush block—it looks amazing now thanks to her efforts. Sophie’s dedication and enthusiasm were truly appreciated. I had such a lovely time staying with Jono, he has built a beautiful home on the hillside so it was a pleasure to help him stay on top of it. He offered full use of his home to me and we had great conversations with lots of useful advice! would fully reccomend staying with him for a nice break from a campervan
