Our stay in Toffi's place was really good. We spend 10 days in Jaisalmer, what a wonderful city. Toffi let us stay in a beautiful private room in the hostel, with private WC and everything. Our tasks were mostly in the reception and helping in the kitchen, and we had a lot of free time to explore the city. We also got the chance to engage with guests and local people, and learn a lot from their traditions. The staff, Mira, Gafur, Assan were really nice and kind to us, and we're grateful for it. He also gave us a discount to do the desert camel safari, and we spend the night looking at the super full moon. Later we visit him in Bikaner and he also offer us a place to stay. Thank you very much! 👏🏽

I had a wonderful time with Ibrahim and his family in Ouarzazate. Along with two other Workawayers, Maja and Ao, I took a magical three-day trip with Ibrahim into the desert. Highly recommended. Afterward, we contacted travel agencies and guidebooks to promote his business. Ibrahim's home is a cheerful place with his six energetic children. Naima cooks delicious food, and we played Rummikub and Pickomino (Rainworms in Dutch) and had a blast. We went to the market with Naima, and in Ouarzazate, I visited the kasbah and walked around the city, as Ibrahim now lives there with his family. I also took a trip to the Fint oasis and Aït Ben Haddou, all highly recommended and easily accessible by shared taxi. It was a wonderfully relaxing week. Thanks, Naima and Ibrahim!

We had a wonderful week at Karena’s and Mike’s beautiful house! From the very beginning, they made us feel welcome and at home. We really enjoyed Karena’s delicious cooking, all the dishes were really into our food theme. We also liked how flexible they were with our working hours, which made the experience very relaxed and enjoyable. They always shared a lot of good stories, told a lot about the country and helped us to get ready for our journey. The conversations we shared around the dinner table were always interesting and full of laughter. It is hard to overlook that Karena and Mike have a strong bond and work well as a team, so it's always good to be around people like them. We’re very grateful for the time spent together and would highly recommend staying with them to any future workawayers!

Elena was a wonderful helper and quickly became like a member of our family. She is kind, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. She has all the qualities a good helper should have — hardworking, reliable, patient, careful, and responsible. She is also clean, organized, honest, and flexible, always ready to take on any task. Elena was very active and interested in learning new things, and she helped Kusum in the kitchen with great enthusiasm. She speaks both English and German and kindly helped us improve our German. We truly enjoyed her company and her positive attitude. We happily recommend her to any host and would be delighted to welcome her again.

I stayed with Nihal and his lovely family and it was such a great first Workaway experience! From the very first moment, they welcomed me so warmly, and I immediately felt safe. I had the chance to cook amazing Sri Lankan food with Kusum — she’s such a kind and patient teacher, and I learned so much (and the food was absolutely delicious!). The place is super peaceful, perfect for reading, relaxing, and just slowing down a bit. I also had the chance to explore the beautiful surroundings and go on small trips nearby. Whenever I needed something, Nihal was always ready to help. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your family and for sharing your beautiful culture with me. I had such a calm and lovely time here — I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine and peaceful experience in Sri Lanka!

Nous avons accueilli Erin pour sa première expérience de volontariat avec Workaway. C'était aussi une immersion pour pratiquer le français avec nous. Erin a passée 15 jours avec nous et elle a rencontré aussi d'autres volontaires qui faisaient aussi leur première expérience de volontariat pour certains. C'est enthousiasmant de voir des jeunes qui se lancent dans de nouvelles aventures pour découvrir et apprendre de nouvelle choses. Nous te souhaitons de riches expériences sur ta route Erin qui je crois se dirigeait vers l'Espagne et le Portugal.

Riche rencontre avec Mélina très curieuse et engagée dans les projets culturels au féminin. Habitante à Lyon, elle est venue se ressourcer dans les Monts du lyonnais pour entreprendre de nouvelles aventures culturelles dans son job qui doit être passionnant. Comme elle nous l'a partagé, elle a découvert les mystères des travaux du jardin et leur diversité ou parfois leur répétition.

I had a truly wonderful two weeks here. The work was simple but rewarding. In the mornings, I spent about three hours helping Kevin with construction tasks. As a teacher, it was refreshing and fun for me to build shelves and sort screws—so different from my usual work. In the afternoons, I joined the after-school classroom for about an hour to teach English to the children. They spoke almost no English, and I only knew “Hola” and “Adiós” in Spanish, but using a translation app we were able to communicate and enjoy very meaningful time together. After the lessons we often played soccer—sometimes even longer than we studied! For future volunteers, there are two important points about daily life: food and insects. • Food: You usually prepare three meals a day by yourself. Sometimes Kevin or his son William cook delicious Korean food, which is a wonderful chance to share a meal together. William is very curious about Japan and has traveled around Europe, so conversations with him are really enjoyable. • Insects: Please follow Kevin’s advice carefully. Brush off fleas before entering the house and avoid too much contact with dogs and cats. I ignored this at first and got bitten a lot in the first few days, but thanks to Kevin’s medicine and cleaning, things improved. If you follow their guidance, your stay will be much more comfortable. Above all, spending my first trip to Mexico with Kevin and William was truly a great experience. Thank you very much!

I had a really nice experience with Bron&Phil, an "epicurian" Kiwi couple who enjoys good food and company :) The place is peaceful, surrounded by wonderful trees and flowers, and a river ! plenty of space on the garden to chill out, have lunch, meditate, or just contemplate ;) The jobs were easy and quite varied - weeding, cleaning, working on the boat ! I also enjoyed cooking for them, as they gave me complete freedom to bake and make dinner ! Over all, the time we shared together, each evening, was precious: Phil and Bron know a lot about many topics and always have good stories and tips to share (and are also good listeners for talkative people like me ^^).

Incredible experience with the Somlid Family. The children are amazing and they speak so many languages ! I was delighted to be able to take care of their animals (dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and fish). The place is in a village, perfect for taking a few days off. You feel part of the family and it feels good! Thank you so much for this experience!

We had a wonderful week staying with Premarajan. He is a really generous and welcoming host. We stayed in his house and felt very welcomed by his family and the students staying there. The work in the soap factory is really interesting and enjoyable. We liked spending time with the workers and learning about soap making. Premarajan also took us to many places nearby, including to a waterfall, kayaking, and even for an ayruvedic massage! Overall we had a really special and enjoyable week. Thank you to Premarajan, his family, and all the workers at the company!

Elizabeth and Christian came to our place from an unpleasant experience and were very grateful to be here even though they were unfamiliar with many of the tasks we had for them to do. They were quite willing and helpful when shown tasks and it was important to them that we were satisfied with their work. They work very well together and seemed to prefer to hang out with each other in off hours rather than be social with others at our place. They were generally very quiet and very respectful of our place, animals and house rules.

Ben was such an awesome addition to our team! He brought great energy, worked super hard, and was just a really fun and kind person to have around. He’s very independent and organized. He planned his days around what needed to be done and always followed through. And on top of that, he’s an amazing wildlife photographer! We loved having him here and would happily welcome him back anytime.

Qué decir... no creo que haya mejor voluntariado que este! Este lugar es el mejor sitio en Bocas del Toro y te enamorarás en cuanto lo pises. El trabajo es sencillo y muy divertido, gracias a él conoces a todos los guests y te llevas grandes amigos. Gracias a eso y al maravilloso staff no sentía que estuviera trabajando, este mes simplemente me lo he pasado genial! Con ganas de volver! un beso a todos! 🥰

Where to start❤️ I travel with my boyfriend and staying on this farm was one of the most beautiful experiences of our travels. The place is wonderful – full of peace, nature and kind people. The hosts were truly amazing – always smiling, kind, grateful and willing to help with anything🙏🏼. They made us feel like part of the family and took such great care of us. The accommodation was super cozy and the food was delicious. We also spent time here with other volunteers who were wonderful and made the experience even more special. We even went on a trip together and learned so much about the local culture and way of life. The atmosphere was warm, joyful and full of positive energy. We couldn’t have wished for a better Workaway experience😊. Thank you so much for everything – we will always remember this week with love and gratitude. ❤️ Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience the real beauty of Thailand and genuine human kindness❤️

I had a wonderful experience staying with Liz and her family! I stayed with them during the school holidays and mostly helped with childcare – the kids were amazing, and we had a lot of fun painting, baking, and playing with Lego together. They were all very welcoming, showed me around the farm, and made me feel like part of the family. There is so much to explore in the area and Liz always had great reccomendations. I highly recommend volunteering with them and would always visit again if I am in the area!

As promise..will definitely weite feedback on our behalf. This couple is very helpful. Camille and Cedric hellped out with almost everything around the house. Cedric been so handy with the finishing of the last 2 bench that i need to work with. Camille with the preparation of the food and the kids. Overall this couple is recommended to their future host with any second thought. Wish you both the best trip they both deserve. Always welcomed any time in Lurah Bilut.

Writing this on my way back after drop them at the bus station in Bentong. Normally i dont write right away, or be the one who to write the feedback first. But for this time of the year..they both DESERVED it. I would definitely recommend Mathis and Marie. This energetic couple was so all rounders around the house. Marie also became my co host on my live streaming. They play active role to make sure the house in good and manageable condition for our acrivities. They both have the very energetic vibes to be with. Future host be aware of this awesome couple. :-)

I was at Anju's place for a month in September and can only recommend this workaway! I came to her right after I arrived in Canada, so I was still in the jet leg, and she understood that very well and gave me time to get used to everything. For Anju it is very important that you have everything you need and feel good. I felt really comfortable and miss it already! It took me a while to get used to everything, because it was also at the very beginning of my trip, so I had to get used to the language and everything. I felt very well taken care of with Anju and you can talk to her if you want to talk to someone, if you have something. The accommodation is very great because you have your own room and bathroom! The bed is sooo cozy :) In addition, you have all kinds of shops nearby for the staff that you need and there is a gym in the house that you can always use. That was great! It is not far from Vancouver and you can get there easily by bus and SkyTrain. The tasks at Anju were mainly in the household and with the girls. Most of the time I cleaned the floors, made the dishes, cleaned the kitchen or helped Anju cook and cut vegetables. Or just other things that need to be done. She showed me all the tasks well so that I could learn and if I had questions about it, she always answered them. I went for a walk outside in the park with the girls. Oh and painting nails :) The girls are great and they are super open-minded and you can talk to them great. The girls are not always at home because they are at their dads on some days. During this time you have a lot of free time and can make day trips! In the end, I really have to say again that I liked it very much with the family and I appreciate that Anju takes good care of your needs. I miss the family and would love to visit them one day again. Oh and I really miss the delicious dishes that Anju prepared! I wish you all the best and a great time!
