Molly is a very positive person; she was interested in our culture and always willing to help us. In the first days she already learned all kinds of work in the hotel becoming independent to perform the tasks without our help. We had a very pleasant time working together; despite her not speaking our language she made an effort to communicate with people. I hope you take some of our culture to your country. Thank you Molly!

Csaba is one of the best! He is self motivated which was a breath of fresh air. He got on with the project in hand, which was stopping water getting in. He was involved in the process, contributing to the planning and often took the lead. He was good company and easy to have about the place with plenty of common sense. He even cooked a cake which was delicious. We were very sorry when it was time for him to leave. We hope he will be one of our longterm workaway friends.

Adriana was with us for 3 weeks settling in quickly to the house and routine. Along with another Workawayer Adri happily got stuck into the jobs, chasing down on a daily occurrence our 1 escape artist hen… looking after the rest of the hens, our dogs and our cats were thoroughly spoilt. Adri got stuck into planting shrubs , dismantling raised beds, weeding, and getting creative… leaving behind some wonderful art in the garden. I really enjoyed getting to know Adri , we had lots of laughs over the time she was with us, from singing to cattle, chasing down escaped dogs and collecting eggs from grumpy hens , and I wish her all the very best in her coming adventures!

Bálint was a really sweet and easygoing fellow. All the jobs were carried out thoroughfully. The communication was super smoothe and respectful. Sharing some meals together and some mate gave us the opportunity for beautiful exchange. You definetely wanna have Bálint as a workawayer on your place. Thank you for have chosen me as your first experience! A big hug

This stay felt like home. I spent 24 days in this center as volunteer and i was doing variety of tasks, from laundry and help in kitchen to woodwork and pool digging. Ronen is dedicated to his work and i'd say he treats this center as his mission. His wife, Merav is great, funny woman who cooks so good, you'll forget you ever ate anything else in your life :) Especially tahini. Most of the time you work with Ronen, sometimes he gives you individual tasks too. Tasks are not hard, sometimes they require strength, but Ronen always makes sure task fits you, that you are safe and ok with what you're doing. He also explained understandably what are we doing, why and what is the best way to do certain things. Tasks were planned, made logical sense and we also played some music during that. I also got free days we agreed upon in advance. There were no significant issues. After work, you can enjoy dip in the river, hot tub and nature around :) Ocasionally we did breathing exercises and ice bath before work (i highly recommend to try). You can also get to nearby towns like Ozurgeti, Kobuleti or Batumi. Achi is a small village so don’t expect too many people around. Nature, however is really worth it, and you'll be surrounded by it all the time. I was accomodated in a modern, private room with AC and other facilities. There was also equipped kitchen and common spaces I could use. I would recommend this volunteering to someone who is looking for individual growth, contact with nature, peaceful environment and hands-on work.

Kaisa stayed with us for two weeks this spring. She is pleasant to be around, always very helpful, hardworking and in general easygoing with a lot of great life experience. She spots what needs to be done around the house and helped out with animals and alot of work in the veggiegardens. Planting hundreds of salads, kales, beets and all the other plants from the nursery and weeding. She also helped out with kids and blended into the family in a great way. She will always be welcome back to our little family. I will give her the best of recommendations!

We stayed with Zaki and his amazing family for a week and had an amazing time! You can definitely take it literally with the "taking a break", because it is a break! We did light gardening a few of the days, helped preparing food - cleaning up after, spending time with Zaki and his family and the other WorkAwayers, Marie also helped co-host his livestreams - which was fun! We also went on a "field trip" to the local agrofarm, which was such a nice way to end our stay there. Zaki, Yati, Sophia and Ian made us feel right at home, and together with them, their friends/family and the other WorkAwayers we ended up having an amazing time! The only "problem" we can find is that the food is waaaay to good!! Thank you! We are looking forward to coming back and check on the chiliplants, my stonewall and hike the mountain with you!

We had such a great experience hosting this couple! They are reliable and hard-working — giving their best and bringing a positive, can-do attitude to the team. Their work ethic is outstanding, and they were completely dependable from start to finish. Beyond their great help, they’re also incredibly generous and creative, especially in the team meals and events! They made delicious dishes and drinks using local ingredients, adding their own unique touch that everyone enjoyed. They’re fun, easy to get along with, and brought a great spirit to the group — we truly appreciated their company both at work and around the table. Any host would be lucky to have them, and we’d welcome them back without hesitation! Thank you guys for coming all the way up here and best of luck in your next adventures!

Wow, so many good things to say here: Friendly, proactive, and always ready to lend a hand. They brought great energy and positivity to every task, and their creativity and craftsmanship truly stood out. Both are incredibly capable and quick learners, with a natural sense of initiative that made our days run smoother and more enjoyable. Beyond their skills, they are simply lovely people to be around — kind, easy to talk to, and genuinely interested in making a difference wherever they go. We feel very lucky to have met them and can’t recommend them enough to any future hosts. They left a lasting impression here, and we’d welcome them back anytime! Thank you so much guys for staying with us! Hope to meet you again!!

Fang came to our farm and helped out during the earliest days of our 2025 chestnut season. He is the nicest guy that you can imagine. Fang was always happy to help out with whatever needed to be done and to learn new things. Together, he and I filled a lot of pots with a special soil mixture, and he quickly became adept with both the shovel and skid steer. He was a very fun person to host too, who went with us to the fair and played ultimate Frisbee with us. He was full of good questions and answers, and really made the most of the cultural exchange aspect of the program. Since leaving, he has even been sending me information on how to visit China and see the chestnut operation there, which is something that I would absolutely love to do. All in all, I would highly recommend hosting Fang, and would gladly do it again!

I stayed at Stein’s home for about 10 days, and those were truly wonderful days surrounded by the calm beauty of nature and a stunning lake just a few meters from the house. What I loved most about this experience was Mr. Stein himself. He is an exceptional man — kind-hearted, noble, and full of a beautiful spirit. No words can truly describe how wonderful he is. From the very first day, I felt like I was staying at a family member’s home. He was incredibly hospitable and generous. We shared meals together — he cooked delicious Norwegian dishes for me, and I prepared some Mediterranean meals in return. Stein is such a peaceful and hardworking person; he wakes up early every morning with a smile on his face and keeps going tirelessly throughout the day. He also bakes bread at home — honestly, it was the best bread I’ve ever tasted in my life! We had many interesting conversations and exchanged cultures and experiences. He is a great listener, very open-minded, and deeply respectful of life’s differences. Stein is also a loyal man who truly values his family, his roots, and his heritage — something I admire greatly. We went on several drives together, exploring the nearby areas and beautiful landscapes, and even enjoyed a boat trip on the lake close to his home. In the end, I can say that while the Norwegian nature is breathtakingly beautiful, the warmth and kindness of Stein’s heart are even more beautiful. My sincere thanks to this wonderful person who reminded me that there are still pure, genuine souls in this ever-changing world. This review comes a month after leaving Stein’s home — if I had written it earlier, I would have probably written even more, because he truly left a deep impression on me

Yovany, thank you for your support and company while you were here. We are very grateful for your help and support. You are a great cheff and gardener but the best is your attitude. You are welcome to come back anytime you want. Wish you the very best for your life.

Jesse and Alyssa are incredibly warm-hearted people who simply create space for creativity and for just being. They genuinely appreciate pure connection and exchange. I can recommend everyone to visit them if you want to discover new sides of yourself. During my stay, I was able to grow immensely, and I hope this wasn’t the last time we saw each other.

John was such a fun guy to have around! He might look tough with his tattoos, but he’s actually super friendly and easygoing. Communication with him was smooth from the very beginning, even before he arrived. What I really appreciated was his great communication sense — he knew when to make a quick phone call for something urgent, and when a simple text message would do. That made working together really efficient and stress-free. It was a real pleasure to host and work with him. Thanks a lot, John — hope to see you again someday! 😄

Liam was a very hard worker eager to impress. Marlena did her best to help out too and tried some new things she had not done before. Well done. Some miscommunication meant a few things had to be done again but overall they were good workers moving wood and other outside things. We like workaways to participate in our home life and watch TV with us, socialise etc. Unfortunately they chose to socialise with another Workaway in the same suburb, so we didn’t get to know much about them or exchange Aussie culture. To be fair I had to work a lot during their stay, but my husband and son were home.

Lylian was a wonderful person to host. He has a great personality — always friendly and kind to guests, and he made a real effort to study Japanese, which was really helpful. I appreciated his positive attitude and genuine curiosity to learn about Japanese culture. He works best when tasks are clearly explained and structured, and I think he would fit perfectly in a place where there are detailed manuals or fixed procedures. Some of the more flexible or independent tasks (like managing new reservations or updating lists) were a bit challenging for him, so I often needed to double-check his work. But overall, he was sincere and always tried his best. Thank you very much, Lylian, for your effort and warm heart. I wish you all the best on your next adventures in Japan! 🌸

Giu and Claudio were a pleasure to have around. They’re both very mindful in the way they work, taking on each task with so much care, attention, and love. The result was honestly five times better than I expected! I was really happy and grateful for all their help. They have such calm, easygoing energy and were very respectful of the space. I also appreciated how they took initiative with small things, like putting the garbage out without being asked, it really shows their sense of responsibility and awareness. It was lovely to connect with Giu as well, especially since she’s also a psychotherapist, and I truly enjoyed her carrot and chocolate muffins, they were amazing! I wish you both all the best in your journey, and you’re always welcome to come back.

I stayed with Mary Ann and Jack for five weeks in August. They were amazing hosts who made me feel at home right away. The house and garden were beautiful, and they gave me loads of suggestions for things to do on my days off. The work was varied and flexible, it included picking fruit, watering the garden, and digging ditches to remove cedar roots - a personal favourite! The surrounding area was idyllic, I spent a lot of time walking, swimming in the sea at Diver’s Rock, and going to summer festivals in Lund and Powell River. Mary Ann and Jack were great cooks, and they made sure I was well fed after a day’s work. I learned so much, not just about gardening, cooking, and nature, but also about life. Can’t wait to come back and visit!
