How can I describe my experience with Regine? It was a gift of life to have found her on Workaway. Regine is a very open person who has hosted more than 200 people in her home and is very calm and open-minded and open-spirited. She learned Spanish just to talk to the people she welcomed into her home. I found that very sweet. Regine has her own customs, but she enjoys learning about other cultures. I stayed longer than I expected in her home; it was a wonderful time sharing it with her. We gardened and had deep conversations. She hosts many spiritual gatherings and activities, some of which we shared in with. She enjoys cultivating her spirituality, and we had very interesting conversations. She even practiced barras with me, a practice she does to help others. The energy in the house is very harmonious. From day one, she made the rules of her house clear, and we always got along very well. Months ago, I ended my Workaway experience at her house, but I continue to visit her because I enjoy being with her and her beautiful garden. She has an amazing garden and a very comfortable and beautiful room for her guests. Some activities included organizing the garden, the kitchen, making Christmas cookies, and decorating for Christmas. Regine was very important for me because, thanks to her, I was able to decide which city I wanted to live in, and thanks to being with her, I was able to have the time to make the decision and decide to stay. I am very grateful to her; it feels like having a close family member. She was a great help on my journey. And I will be eternally grateful for her unconditional support. If you are near Munich, I recommend stopping by Regine's. She would be delighted if you could help her with her garden. Thank you, Regine, for being a person who gives light and enlightens others! I spent two weeks with Claudia in July, and I had an amazing time. Claudia is such a welcoming, understanding, authentic individual who is a blast to be around and works amazingly to make sure that we were having a great time and getting stuff done. I had my routine tasks with the chickens and the garden, and did a bunch of other cool stuff around the farm. She gives you a lot of independence but will answer any questions and make sure you are comfortable doing what you're working on. It's a collaborative, fun environment built on mutual respect and excitement about what you're doing. The house is comfortable, her daughter is adorable, and her animals are the best, Lana and Lluna have special places in my heart. Claudia, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home, it was a life changing experience. I wish you nothing but the best!

Caroline was with me for about 10 days and was such a lovely person to have around — calm, mindful, and really easy to get along with. She got stuck into every task with care and determination, from digging a trench for my hose to helping with all sorts of odd jobs around the place and translating in French for me. We had some great, insightful conversations, and she brought a really peaceful, positive energy to the house. I’d happily welcome her back anytime!

I stayed with Gwen, Thomas, Matti and Carla for two and a half months. From April until the mid-june. It was my first time trying workaway and it was so much more better than I could ever have expected. I had so many highlights during my time there: We caught a cow (on my second day:)), I tried mountain trail riding, I joined Gwen as a Trosser at her distance riding competition, I went on some beautiful rides or just relaxed with the horses, i rode on the beach of Rømø!!, we watched movies or played good games in the evening, the tasty LKWs, I knitted with Carla, I tried some new cooking dishes, I rode to Annis kiosk, I met new people, like some German friends of Gwen, her Scottish family or other workaway- girls, Matti taught me chess, we went to the universe, swam in the St. Peter- Ording spa and I also watched Theo on his first days! I built my first „Todholzhecke“ with Thomas, did some „Weidearbeit“, like cutting little bushes and I worked with the „Motorsense“ for my first time. There were so many more highlights, but I don’t think there’s enough space to mention all of them:)! Thank you very much for this wonderful time- I hope it won‘t be my last visit!

Paul was an absolute legend to have around! He’s got amazing energy and just gets stuck into whatever needs doing and there was some hard yakka stuff to do on my property - and he even retiled by shower. Paul was great company with great chats, and plenty of laughs along the way. Super easy to get along with and always positive. Would happily have him back anytime and know that we will see each other gain in Oz.

Living and sharing each day with Lison has been a beatiful meaningful journey. Her curious mind, proactive approach and endless energy has enriched us all with wonderful evenings of sharing circles, hikes, surfing days and beatiful events. We are grateful for the time shared with this amazing human. Through her curiosity and the gentle art of her questioning, she invited us to look deeper within ourselves. The long hours spent exchanging ideas, guided by her sincere desire to understand and grow, have been a gift. Her openness to help, her attentive listening, and her constant care have brought balance, warmth, and presence into to us all. Her willingness to help, listen to others and support in each and every way possible has brought stability and more presence within the family. Un abrazooo

Une hôtesse très sympathique et un endroit magnifique. Le travail n'est pas particulièrement difficile, Marie-Jo est très arrangeante et répond à toutes vos questions. La journée est idéale pour explorer les plages et la région.

I stayed with arian and Hector for only a week they are very nice family I do reccomended you know enough Spanish for cummunicaction as you most likely will stay with arians husband and he speaks no English so Spanish is required to stay there. he speaks I had enough Spanish for cummunicate with him I helped him in his garden inside and around the house in the weekends the kids came from arians house to Hector's home I really enjoyed playing with the children they are very friendly and polite lively and very fun and they even gave me presents i felt like a part of the family as a vegan they were very accepting to my veganism and provided plenty of food to eat the bed room was nice and comfortable on the Wednesday afternoon I went to arians home and meet the children I would only reccomended if you speak some Spanish as the kids only know basic English. thankyou so much for hosting me I really enjoyed my stay

Lucia è una persona estremamente attenta e autonoma. Ogni suo gesto è semplice e responsabile, e questa sua sicurezza dà una grande fiducia. È stata molto amata dai bambini ed una figura fondamentale per il nostro team. Elegante, creativa e collaborativa, con lei non manca mai una risata. Con la sua ironia pungente è capace di sciogliere i momenti di difficoltà e di trasformare una giornata complicata in una sana e bella risata serale. Brava in cucina - le sue frittate sono state il top al circo - attenta all’ordine del proprio spazio e dello spazio comune, sa portare a termine i compiti con serietà e buon umore. Una compagna di viaggio eccezionale, pronta a condividere idee, sorrisi e momenti di fragilità con una naturalezza che mette tutti a proprio agio. E sì, purtroppo fa uno zucchero filato proprio terribile… Parola di Red! L’aspettiamo a braccia aperte!

Elizabeth and Christian stayed with us for approx 2 months. During that time we accomplished a wide variety of tasks from gardening to painting. They were always willing and helpful with all assigned tasks. They work very well together and seemed to prefer to hangout with each other vs being amongst the family in a social gathering. We did enjoy some great times. They were generally very quiet and respectful.

I had a great experience with Ilona and Grita in Bindow! They are incredible hosts! From the moment I arrived until the end of my two-week stay at the sisters' beautiful lakeside property, I felt truly welcome — more like a friend than a guest — and the atmosphere was wonderful. The work in the garden was very exciting for me, as I didn’t know much about gardening before and was eager to learn more. Grita and Loni explained everything very clearly and sometimes accompanied me around. The cultural exchange, both during work and in my free time, was incredible! I got to practice and improve my German, discover some Berliner and German culture (including music!), and hear so many fascinating life stories from the sisters. I wish I had had even more time with them, but I was often traveling to Berlin (which is not far and very easy to reach!) to look for WGs and apartments, since I was about to move to the German capital full-time. I keep thinking about this wonderful Workaway experience and feel very grateful for such an exceptional opportunity. I hope to meet Ilona and Grita again soon, now that I’m in Berlin. Shelah and Jacob's place was my first workaway experience in Ireland and I quickly felt at home with their family. They are very welcoming, generous and extremely fair with expectations of work. Shelah is a really great cook, you will definitely not go hungry :) Most of my work was looking after the kids and keeping them occupied, as well as pitching in with cleaning and chores. All super easy stuff, but the kids will keep you on your toes! It would be helpful if you have a car, as their place is outside of town. Still within walking distance to a couple small villages, if you like walking, but having a car would give you more freedom. In saying that, Shelah and Jacob are more than happy to help you out and drive you places, at the end of my stay I even got to go away to the ploughing match with them in the camper, which was a great experience. Overall, would suit someone who loves kids, is proactive and after a slower routine outside of the city. Thanks again to Shelah, Jacob, Andre and Chevy, I miss you and hope I will be able to come see you again!

Nous avons accueilli Joowon une dizaine de jour chez nous, c’est un jeune homme calme qui cherche à se rendre utile et le fait très bien. Il nous a rendu de nombreux services dans l’entretien de la maison et la vie quotidienne. Il s’est aussi investi au jardin pour l’arrosage et plantations et d’autres activités telles que la restauration d’une vieille horloge : nettoyage, ponçage, cire et polissage du travail de patience et de minutie, il est très sympathique et nous aurions aimé échanger d’avantage. Joowon parle très bien anglais et apprends vite le français

Ben is a sympathic and warm-hearted person who is easy to get along with in many different situations. In a job situation he tackled all the tasks with skill.Ben is really handy because he has so much knowledge in many different tasks. He can do jobs like a professional carpenter or mechanic. More ever, he can master the most incredible tasks. All the jobs he has done during one and a half month in our home are done professionally.

We had an amazing week with Lazar! He is a really friendly and down to earth guy who we enjoyed having conversations with throughout the day. The workload was very fair and the hours were quite flexible. The main task we all worked on was putting in a new barb wire fence which required some weeding and digging. The area is close to a national park and there are many walking trails nearby which Lazar was helpful in providing details for. His home is a perfect getaway if you are looking for some peace and quite and to see what rural Serbia looks like. Overall we have nothing but positive things to stay about this experience and we would recommend it to anyone!

J'ai passé un très bon moment chez Kris et son fils Jules! Pendant les quatres semaines, j'ai beaucoup vécu et appris. Au niveau du travail, j'ai préparé le bois pour l'hiver, j'ai désherbé, je fais la routine quotidienne des lapins et des poules, j'ai planté des arbres et j'ai récolté des fruits. La communcation était toujours très agréable. Si l'on voulait apprendre quelque chose, elle a toujours pris le temps d'expliquer! J'ai donc beaucoup appris sur le jardinage. Le logement était très agréable. J'ai partagé une propre maison avec deux autres Workaways Peggy et Elena. Tout le monde a eu sa chambre et on a partagé une salle de bain, une cuisine et un salon. Nous nous sommes très bien amusés, on a beaucoup rigolé et je me suis senti toujours à l'aise! On général, on a pris le déjeuner et le diner ensemble, qui étaient toujours très bons! Le morvan est une région magnifique avec de beaux villages et une nature sauvage. Vous pouvez partir en randonnée depuis chez vous et vivre de nombreux expériences! Merci encore une fois et à la prochaine! :)

I was lucky enough to spend over three months with Erik and Ciara as my first Workaway hosts, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I initially planned to stay for just one month, but the warm atmosphere and their amazing energy made me decide to extend my stay. During my time there, I worked on gardening, house care, improving my english and italian and even had the incredible opportunity to help in a film production where Erik was acting. I was also lucky enough to accompany Erik in adopting their first cat, Pepe, who I completely fell in love with and miss every day. I helped take care of Pepe and Kiretta, his older dog, who is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met. Every task was organized in a relaxed way and supervised, especially by Erik, who is super easy-going and makes sure everything runs smoothly without stress. I had a bike accident during my stay, and they treated me like part of the family, making sure I was okay and helping me in every way they could. Their care made me feel truly supported and valued. The time with other volunteers was wonderful too, especially with Josi, Faline, and Deva, who even stepped up as my “nurses” when I needed it. Even with a volunteer who was a bit challenging, Erik handled the situation in a way that always made me feel safe, prioritizing good vibes and harmony above any conflict. The volunteer house is very comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped, and I even got to be part of buying things for it, including a big Ikea shopping trip! I had so much fun and felt included in meetings, birthdays, and all the daily moments. Their environment is warm and special; a special mention to Brian and Pri, who are incredibly sweet and always ready to chat or share a smile. Honestly, it’s hard to describe everything I experienced in these three months, but I can say with total certainty that Erik and Ciara were fundamental in making this experience so amazing. If you’re lucky enough to do a Workaway with them, don’t hesitate for a second, their good vibes, the comfortable location just one hour by train from Rome, and the perfect mix of working close to nature while also having the chance to explore Rome on your days off make this experience unforgettable. I want to repeat it as soon as possible, thank you truly for everything you've done for me! Daniela

MArk es un tio estupendo. Abierto a las tareas que le propuse. Muy dispuesto a todo lo que le pedí. Educado respetuoso y simpatico. Hicimos cosas juntos aunque lamentablemente yo no disponia en este momento de mucho tiempo para compartir con el. Espero que en proximas ocasiones hagamos mas cosas juntos. Comunicación fluida.
