It was such a special and beautiful experience staying with Brahim and his lovely family :) Since we arrived early in the morning at the station, Brahim kindly came to pick us up and welcomed us right away. His beautiful family was also so warm and friendly! Naima’s Moroccan meals were always delicious, I loved sharing meals together in the traditional Moroccan style :) The kids were so cheerful and full of energy, making the atmosphere even more joyful! For the work, we helped promote Brahim’s amazing business by doing some research and translation. It was very relaxed, and I really enjoyed working together with the other workawayer. We were also lucky enough to join a special Sahara tour with Brahim, it was such a magical and unforgettable experience! I highly recommend going to the Sahara with him if you ever get the chance! Brahim is always so chill and easygoing, and we really enjoyed spending time with him. It was also wonderful to learn more about Berber culture through the Sahara tour and daily life with his family. Thank you so much, Brahim! I’d love to come back again someday!

It was my first workaway experience, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined a better one. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like part of the family and always felt included and cared for. They’re such kind, fun people, and incredible cooks too! The work was light and straightforward, and expectations were clear. Thank you all again for having me, and hope to see you soon! xx

La mia esperienza nella casa di Vinci è stata piena di momenti belli ed emozioni. Ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere quasi un mese lì. Durante queste settimane ho avuto l'opportunità di condividere momenti preziosi con diverse persone e situazioni: è stato un bell’incontro tra anime. Vinci è stato sempre molto disponibile e generoso, disposto a farmi sentire come a casa. Ho svolto diversi lavori, tra cui prendermi cura degli animali, ridare nuova aria e colori a tutta la casa e ritrarre parte del processo della raccolta delle olive, Vinci mi ha dato la possibilità di esprimere i miei talenti e per me è stato un vero piacere. È stata sicuramente un’esperienza indimenticabile. Grazie ancora di tutto! 🌸

Simo and Agnese... We liked them, as persons, as human beans, as friends ;) Those two are full of fascinating stories, enthusiastic energy and a fun, humorous vibe. We had many fun and thoughtful conversations and nice evenings. They can also do some super interesting things with veggies in the kitchen! They practically forced us to let them do more stuff, since they felt we didn't ask enough of them 🤣 There was not a task they couldn't do... if we would have kept them for a couple of more months we probably could have built a whole new house 😅 Overall, even though they were with us for only 3 weeks, we felt we really clicked. You were our favorite customers and are welcome back any time! Perhaps we'll meet again in Italy or elsewhere. Best regards, Diddi, Editka e i ragazzi!

Staying with us was Bor’s first workaway experience and he was one of the most amazing workaway’s I’ve ever hosted. Communication with him is clear, easy and free of drama. Bor is easy to work with, motivated and reliable and he also does tasks on his own without any high maintenance or many questions. I’d say he’s handy, intelligent and a pure soul with a lot to share, not to mention his beautiful music (guitar) with own lyrics and touching moments. Bor creates safe spaces, understands boundaries and seems wayyyy more experienced than his age or Workaway-experience of just one host might suggest. Bor also is physically strong and happy to help any time, he can even cook and is entertaining and lovingly soft with children and animals (as well as other family members) at the same time. You’re going to be lucky if he reaches out to you!

Maisie and Joe stayed with us during a very intense period. We harvested the vineyards, pressed the grapes, and organized our summer festival — all within two weeks! Despite the pace, they always stayed positive and adapted easily. They got along wonderfully with all the friends and neighbors involved in the project. Maisie made great efforts to improve her French and took every opportunity to start conversations with people around her. We wish them both lots of success in their future projects and adventures!

Shannen and Richard are really nice and very friendly people. They are also very flexible and have no problem taking you wherever you want. I stayed with them for 14 days. They were really flexible about the course and time of work. I worked in the garden, reorganized things in the workshop and helped in the bakery. When I was working in the bakery, Shannen took me to the beach and the cliffs several times during my breaks, with a very good snack from the bakery, which were definitely my best breaks ever. The view of the ocean with the sun and good food is something I will never forget. They also have a few animals: goats, cats and a dog. I ended up making friends with the goats and cats in particular. Shannen often cooked dinner, and I always ate really good food. But most of all, I loved all the conversations the three of us had at dinner. I learned a lot about their lives and Ireland in general. I would definitely recommend Shannen and Richard, because I have never met such kind people. Thank you for everything I have learned from you, and I hope to see you again.

Micha and Pavel and their three daughters were really a pleasure to host, reminding me of my beloved czech root. They managed to do a lot of work (cutting lots of grass and wood, painting wooden chairs, helping me out with some clothes etc...) and I really appreciated that. I admire their tranquillity and calm and sweet way of dealing with the wonderful kids with lots of patience. We spent some nice moments together, doing tagliatelle as well. Showing that it is possible to travel with a big family in a workaway mode is fantastic! Take care

We were so happy to be at Laura Doe's place. she has a beautiful home and she is a lovely person. We helped in de garden and we did some decluttering and organizing before she went on her big event.

Thank you so much for having me! My time flew by and I am very happy I joined the Foundation for 12 days. Jyoti, Jeshwant and Nandini are doing great and such important work with the kids. It is very inspiring and makes me humble knowing the kids stories. Together we were able to finalise the computer project and I am beyond happy that it worked out so greatly! They are very welcoming hosts, cook great food and are super fun to hang out with. We had a wonderful time together, did little trips in Dehradun and laughed a lot. Thank you so much and I am already looking forward to seeing you again ☺️♥️

Nora was an exceptional volunteer during her time with our project. Although she stayed with us for only two weeks, she made the most of her experience and quickly became part of the team. From the very first day, she showed great commitment, responsibility, and sensitivity toward the children, actively participating in classes, games, and daily activities at the center. She worked very hard, with dedication, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude, always ready to help wherever she was needed. Her effort and energy were a great support to our team, and she left a wonderful impression on both the staff and the children. We are truly grateful for her valuable contribution and hope she can return to Trujillo one day. She will always have a home here.

I stayed with Kristy and her family in Williamstown for about two months, and it was my very first Workaway experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better start! From day one, they made me feel completely at home and part of the family. My main tasks were helping with household chores, driving the kids to their after-school activities, and sometimes looking after them. The kids, mostly teenagers now, except for the youngest, are great to be around: friendly, independent, and full of personality, which made every day enjoyable. Kristy is an amazing host, very organized, thoughtful, and always making sure everything runs smoothly. I really appreciated how clear and well-planned everything was; it made my stay super comfortable and easy. When I arrived, my English level was quite low, so the first few days were a bit challenging. But over time, I improved a lot! The whole family was very patient and kind, they spoke a bit more slowly and always made sure I understood. It was a great environment to learn and practice every day. I would still recommend having some basic English before coming, as it helps with integration and communication. This experience was the perfect opportunity to discover what daily life in an American family is really like. I learned so much about their culture, traditions, and lifestyle, and I had an amazing time. If you enjoy spending time with kids and also like working outdoors, you’ll love it here! There are plenty of small projects around the garden and the pool that make the stay even more interesting and varied. I absolutely loved my time in Williamstown and I’m so grateful to Kristy and her family for welcoming me so warmly. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough, it’s perfect for anyone looking for an authentic and rewarding Workaway in the U.S.!

Daniel stayed with us in Sept/Oct 2025 for almost a month. We would highly recommend Daniel to any host he applies to, we would go as far as to say, accept his application before another host gets in there before you. A bit about our time together and why we say the above. Daniel has a fantastic work ethic and a real love of learning new skills he also fit in to our family home and our way of life from the day one. Daniel showed great enthusiasm for all the jobs we did, both outdoors and indoors. He helped us from start to finish building doors from wood to hang on an outdoor house. He helped with jobs on our Allottment, closing raised beds for winter by digging in manure, helping to get out of control hedges and overgrown walls in to shape by using hedging sheers. Daniel also helped with weeding in our garden & planting spring bulbs. Daniel picked skills up very quickly and usually only shown once how to do something and did everything really well. Daniel was also very easy to live with and helpful around the home. We never had to ask for Daniels help in the house as he always offered to help whether with cooking or cleaning, he never shyed away from offering help every day, a quality we really really appreciated. I can honestly say that Daniel is everything you could ask for in a Workawayer. We really hope one day Daniel will come back to visit us. He definitely became a friend we would genuinely look forward to seeing him again here in Ireland at our home. I (Mary) really enjoyed all our hikes in the mountains, I loved all the chats and you were great company.

We had a really good time at Janita and Petes farm, they’re both really inspiring people and we would love to come back some day! Their farm is bigger than we expected, they have a very nice garden, loads of land, sheeps, ducks, a dog and lots of cats (we especially fell in love with one of the kittens). We we were doing a lot of gardening, cleaned out the barn and helped renovating the kitchen and started to build some roads in the forrest. We were lucky to stay with two other workawayers which was really nice so we had Catan matches each night. We also loved the yoga session we did with Janita and the Pizza night we did when their friends came by. Thank you! Mareike and Kiara

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Fifi's place! Fifi's and her family are SO lovely! Fifi gave us an area of work, and then much freedom to clear it/work as we wanted. Fifi was also very communicative and good to check in during the work hours - to hear how it goes and remind us to have something to drink and take a break, when needed. Even while she has a cafè to run at the same time. We had amazing dinner at their cafè and good conversations. Fifi also came with recommendation on what to do around the town! Exceptional host if you ask us! But you have to be independent in your work and free time as Fifi is busy in cafè, during breakfast/brunch and again for dinnertime. We can absolutely recommend this place!

I recently spent a month here, and quickly realised that it is a very special place. Without exception, everyone I met there was kind, thoughtful and caring. Due to a mix of cultures, ages & characters there is a great sense of discovery and fun. A vibrant atmosphere, yet there is peace too. The grounds are extensive, and have many beautiful spots to discover, or sit quietly, usually with a dog and/or a cat in tow. The animals are a delight, and I loved helping to take care of them. Their well-being is at the forefront, and a lot of thought goes into ensuring that their every need is met. There is plenty of work to do. For me, it was mostly the vegetable garden and animal care. As everyone mucks in, there is free time, which I often used to explore the beautiful region. I loved the community living. Working together, sharing meals, playing games, and lively discussions around the outdoor fire during the evenings. I reluctantly had to leave after a month, but could happily have stayed much longer. Without a doubt, I will return. Thank-you Peter, and all the beautiful people that I met at your incredible place.

We had a wonderful time in Pula at Luka's tiny house! The container is cozy and has all you need. Luka is a nice guy and also hard working. We did several tasks together and had a great time. This experience will definitely enriche our memories of Croatia! Thank you Luka ✌🏼😃

I just wanted to express that it was a real pleasure to share the month of August with you at my place and that I absolutely recommend you.
