Life with Pete and Rosie could not be more amazing - A true recommendation for anyone looking to experience the outback style of life. We had amazing dinners with delicious food, phenomenal conversation about anything from cattle farming to personal matters, and learned so much about what it is like to work on a cattle farm! We still miss everyone (including Adrian the sheep) daily and hope to be able to come back one day!

My stay at Grant's place was an absolute pleasure! Not only does he share his home with the most adorable cat in the world, Kishka - whose cuddles I already miss so much, he himself is also pretty great. He's kind, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. A true gent and a very accommodating host. I felt at ease from the get-go. Arriving late evening after super long travel, Grant welcomed me in and I went to sleep shortly after, feeling very comfortable. Both the living and working atmosphere were pleasant. Work fair, instructions clear. This was my first stop before moving into my own room in the city, I was able to work around the errands/admin I had to do, as long as I got my hours done of course. Really appreciated that flexibility. I would for sure recommend Grant's place to other workawayers. 1 tip - stick to the rules, no matter what! Thank you again Grant. I did a Workaway with Garry in Scotland at the end of September and absolutely loved the experience! I shared a room with three other native speakers in a nice hostel in Moffat, and spent the weekend with a really wonderful group of Spanish & Italian folks coming to improve their English. We had a hike, day trip to Edinburgh, and other practical activities so that conversation flowed naturally - I've done other conversation exchanges such as Angloville but this was much better. I felt really lucky with my group as we all got along, played games in the evening, and on the last evening we ate together in the hostel after some of the attendees cooked. I'd definitely recommend this to others :)

Mi estancia de aproximadamente dos semanas en Chulilla, con María y su perrito y gato, fue una experiencia muy agradable y gratificante. María fue muy amable y paciente conmigo, y me preparó muchas comidas deliciosas :). Es una mujer tranquila, sensible y de buen corazón. Además fue una gran ventaja poder hablar y mejorar mi español con ella, sobre todo durante los paseos matutinos con Gismo (el perro). Aprendí muchas cosas interesantes de ella, especialmente sobre la fauna y la vida en Valencia y España. La ayudé con pequeñas cosas en su apartamento,...no muchas – podría trabajar más :)… ¡Muchas gracias por todo, María! My approximately two-week stay in Chulilla with María and her dog and cat was a very pleasant and rewarding experience. María was very kind and patient with me, and she prepared many delicious meals for me :). She is a calm, sensitive, and kind-hearted woman. It was also a great advantage to be able to speak and improve my Spanish with her, especially during morning walks with Gismo (the dog). I learned many interesting things from her, particularly about the wildlife and life in Valencia and Spain. I helped her with small things in her apartment...not many – I could do more :)… Thank you so much for everything, María!

I had such an amazing time with Jimmy and his son Lyem! They’re both super kind and fun to be around, and you can really feel the great connection between them. Jimmy has travelled a lot and has tons of cool stories and life experiences to share. He’s one of those people you can talk to for hours without getting bored! He was super patient with my French (merci, Jimmy!), and we had the best time cooking, eating, and trying new recipes together. We also had some really deep and interesting chats about life, which I totally loved. The work was really chill and flexible, and I had plenty of free time to explore the city and enjoy the area (the house is only 30-45 min away from city centre). Lyem is a bit shy at first, but he’s such a nice and friendly guy. And if you’re into video games, you’ll have a lot to talk about! I absolutely recommend staying with them. I felt so welcome and comfortable from the very first day. Wish you the best and hope I can come back someday :)

Curious, brave, and kind girls who are always eager to try and learn new things. It was such a joyful and enriching time having you here. You helped me so much with garden maintenance, weeding, watering, picking caterpillars and even planting trees and strawberries. You also supported me a lot in the house with cooking and cleaning. Staying with Irfan, Sinem, Ruzgar, Mustafa and Berfu was such a refreshing and wholesome experience. Being apart of their close-knit family and contributing to the ebbs and flows of their daily routine was easy and enjoyable. The farm and location itself is great, close to the local village and comfortable to get to both Nicosia and Famagusta. I loved our honest and diverse conversations around the table, and the ability to work both collectively and individually. Thank you so much for the time and energy in hosting me guys. It was an honour to be apart of your community and get to know north Cyprus 💕

I spent two incredible weeks at this place. It's a beautiful house, and I was very well accommodated in a very comfortable setting. The house is located on a hill in Nîmes, very close to the city center, making it perfect for easily going out and enjoying the city. The space is very nice and well organized, the work I did was very rewarding. To go there you need to be as self-sufficient and independent as possible, since Murielle is a very busy person, and our role as workaway volunteers is to help her a little and not be a burden. My stay here nourishes my heart and soul. I felt surrounded by sensitive people, and we had conversations that resonate deeply within me. Murielle possesses an elevated consciousness and is constantly seeking harmony, peace, and knowledge. It was a pleasure to share time with her.

I've stayed with Mal over 4 weeks in this amazingly picturesque place. Surrounded by forest this plot of land has a very spacious athmosphere and lovely outlooks. With no fences other than to protect food gardens and chickens the wildlife roams freely and pademelons feed just outside the door. Come and give old Mal a hand with the weeding and maintenance of gardens. He's been a caring and respectful host who plays a good Scrabble and cooks yummy food, always delighted when i took my turn in cooking. The wooden hut with its potbelly stove is very cosy, the environment quiet and beautiful and you can float on a swing next to a big mama tree.

I spent two weeks at Mieke's campsite in August and it was my first workaway esperience so I was genuinly nervous! Every creature of the comunity ( humans and animals) were lovely, kind to me and I enjoyed spending time with them:) My task was manly cleaning commond area, gardening, weeding and helping where it is needed in general. I think two weeks are not enough because when you started to get used to( and been less shy in my case) ... it is time to go! Thank you so much for the trust, patience and positive spirit! p.s . Mieke — I just realized I forgot to give you the Fantastic Mr. Fox movie! I still think it is the perfect one for Toca. ;) Hugs to all of you, Até já!

Jirri es un hombre que ha trabajado en varias instituciones europeas como voluntario. Es eficiente, trabajador, respetuoso y se esfuerza por hacer su trabajo con responsabilidad. Le gusta el ciclismo. El dice que las ruedas son sus piernas y sobre la bicicleta es feliz. Creo que ha disfrutado con intensidad de las sierras de Chulilla con la misma pasión que ha realizado las tareas que realizó como worker. Gracias, Jirri!

My stay here was amazing, the whole feel was chill, fun, and family-like! I stayed for 2 weeks and would have loved to stay more. Work was a mix of cooking, cleaning, and a bit of garden work; for me, it was perfect. Flexible schedules also helped us have time to check the canyon and hot springs many times, or have some nice beers by the campfire. Overall, I loved it, I wish I had stayed longer, missing the marshutka was a sign!!! Many thanks to Lucas, Woody, Emma, and Vitalina for being such a cool bunch and creating such a fun space! Also, many, many thanks to the cooks, Humay and Dawid, who taught me so many recipes that I now feel like a pro in the kitchen (although I definitely am not!). Hope to be back soon, if not, os espero en España :)

I just stayed nearly one month at Kiki and Jürgen's place and the only thing I can say: it was the best! This was my first experience with workaway and I was very nervous about what it'll be like but all my concerns were resolved by their openness and understanding. The work itself wasn't very difficult or strict, so I could always decide if I wanted to do the tasks now or later. Moreover, they always encouraged me to see the region by bike or just enjoy the weather at the beach. Overall, it was the perfect place for me! Vielen, vielen Dank für die tolle Möglichkeit. Ich habe mich von Anfang an bei euch wohl gefühlt und war echt begeistert, wie sehr ihr mich auch in meinen Aktivitäten beraten und unterstützt habt. Dank euch hatte ich einen wunderbaren Start in mein work & travel Jahr! Ich werde euch, und natürlich auch Millie, Pia und Cha, vermissen und bestimmt mal wieder besuchen kommen :)).

Zoey is a wonderful, open, warm, and cheerful person. She was very helpful and surprised us with her cooking skills. She fulfilled all our menu requests and didn't shy away from elaborate preparations. She often spent her free time with us, supporting and helping us. Even tidying up was fun with her. Thank you, Zoey, you brave soul, for being ready for this adventure with us. We will miss you!

We volenteered as German teachers in Oktober 25. Most people from Kelaa described it to us as a calm and normal city but when we arrived we found ourselves in a completly new culture with a language we don't speak and strangers we have never met. This is why we are so grateful to have found this community that not only gave us food and shelter but also a warm welcoming, knowlege about the culture and in the end friendship. The work was rather simple even though it was sometimes challenging but to be honest this also was an experience worth having. We we're treated with respect and curiosity for example when it came to our plant-based diet. We hope other volenteers will come here and explore the beautiful morrocan culture themself.

Eva is such a lonely young woman with such a great life force, she's a lot of help around the house and a good sport, she's giggly, serious, fun, kind and a very honest person in the best of ways 🙏😍🙏 We just love having her around and she brings joy and good spirit to all that she does🙏 even if there's some things she never tried before like ironing, or things she only did very little of before, she gets right to it with a positive spirit and even if it is hard or might irritate her she keeps on trying with a very good spirit. 😍🥰 She's very thoughtful and kind also towards my daughter and our cat, she loves animals very much and that our cat can feel. Eva is full of light and sparkle from the inside and it's a pleasure to be around her 🙏 she has a good intuition and knows when she needs to take a break and when there's need for peace and quiet, and she's a very calm person. Eva is very healthy and loves healthy food, which is always lovely to be inspired by 🙏 And she's an amazing cleaner, and she often cleans on her own initiative which is very nice to experience 😍😁🥰🙏 so often the kitchen all of a sudden is shiny 🥰 Eva is a good friend to our other workawayer and she's very good at socializing and having fun with others. And that also means that she has a big heart and goodness flows from her all the time. She also tells us about her friends and we can always feel that she cares a lot about them ❤️ Eva loves loves loves nature and the countryside, that's also an inspiration to hear about her love for nature. And she loves good people and she loves to tell about when people are or have been kind and lovely towards her, and I love to hear her tell about her experiences 🙏😍🙏 Eva has helped with a sewing project and she's very clever minded and has great ideas for the process and she's very enthusiastic and very helpful in the process, which has been a huge help for me. She cuts the pattern, she irons the fabric, put pins in multiple times, she bears over with me when things have to start from scratch 🙃😁 bc we/I made a mistake 😁🙃 She has also replanted some plants outside.🙏🍁🍂🙏 She did a deep cleaning in the bathroom and kitchen in the lower apartment on her own initiative, she's very independent and proactive. 😍🙏😍 And she has cooked dinner and helped baking cakes and buns for a big birthday party 😍🙏😍 Also that went very well. There's nothing bad to say about Eva, she's just an amazing person❤️ The first day she arrived after a 3 hour drive she even started helping with things and for the birthday party on a Saturday she helped even though she didn't have to. We always do our best to take good care of Eva bc she gives so much and we want to support her in taking breaks and enjoying all the things she loves. She will always be welcome any time in our home ❤️😍❤️ Thank you Eva for all your help, your big heart, curiosity, storytelling, wit and good spirit ❤️

From when we arrived, we felt welcomed by Kathy and her family. She created the perfect environment for a WorkAway with great accomodation, clear expectations, yummy food (best food we've had in our 10 months of travel). We loved picking her brain about Bulgarian culture and hearing her stories about travelling the world. 10/10 would recommend!!

From the very first moment until the last, Rebbeckah has been so much more than just a helper — she’s been a true friend to me, a wonderful playmate for Katia, and someone incredibly easy to get along with. We shared so many things that I usually don’t even find the time to do with my friends — we went hiking, watching the sunrise, dancing together in a salsa club, worked out and did strength exercises at home, and Katia even learned to solve upper-level maths problems thanks to her! We’ve had such beautiful moments together, and she’ll always be welcome in our home. We’re going to miss her a lot, but I hope she has the most amazing time traveling around the world. For anyone considering hosting her — you can fully trust Rebbeckah. Besides doing all her tasks perfectly, she takes initiative and does things on her own without being asked, which is something I truly appreciate. In short, she’s everything at once: a helper, a friend, a babysitter, a companion — even a bit of a psychologist when you need it! Lots of love and kisses to you, Rebbeckah

Work hard — play hard ! What a fantastic stay with Franck and Chloé. Franck picked me up from the bus stop with a big smile and I knew I had made the right decision. Staying with them means long days on the farm, getting your hands dirty — covered in sweat. In exchange, you’ll get world class fresh homecooked food, a comfy bed and, most importantly, you’ll be an active part of the family. They share many stories about farmwork, agricultural politics, harvesting with you. On your days off you can enjoy hiking in the nearby national park to spot the famous Kagu! Enjoy a coral 🪸 reef beach or visit the nearby Fort Teremba. There is lots to explore in the area. I can not thank them enough for their kindhearted spirit, warm & welcoming attitude and for all the fun we had. First time on a horse, first time spearfishing, first time for so many things! Thank you from my heart and see you soon in New Caledonia 🇳🇨
