Sara stayed with us for about five months, and we can only leave an extremely positive feedback! From the very first day, she integrated perfectly into our family, always bringing joy, kindness, and a great sense of responsibility. She helped us with many different things: household chores, gardening, small maintenance tasks and, above all, she was a wonderful companion — just like a member of the family — always patient and sensitive. She was always available, respectful, and attentive to everyone’s needs. Her presence made our home livelier and more peaceful — she’s a cheerful, friendly and delightful person to have around! We absolutely recommend Sara to any host: with her, you’ll have a reliable, positive person with a big heart by your side.

Hello everyone Today is a week since I came to Turkey and Umit's farm. It is beautiful and peaceful here. And it has good energy. So much so that I forgot the fatigue of the long journey when I arrived and started my work from the very first day. Umit is a kind and active man and in addition to farming, he knows various skills and has a solution for every problem. He built his beautiful house himself and it reminds me of the houses I had seen in decoration magazines and I am happy to have had the experience of living in this type of house. He is a skilled cook and I have been introduced to various delicious foods during this time. In addition, he patiently helps me learn English. I feel at peace in Umit's house and it seems like I have known Umit for years. We have a series of routine tasks on the farm every day, such as preparing food for the sheep in the morning and evening, and to go and bring their food from the other side of the farm, you have to stand on the steps of the tractor. This is one of the best moments for me on the farm when the cool wind blows on my face as the tractor moves and from a high height I can watch the hands moving for a long time. Feeding the chickens, a cat and three dogs, all of whom are kind and want to play with you, are other routine tasks. In addition to routine tasks, there are new things to do every day on the farm and at home. Despite my first experience working on a farm and the heavy nature of some of the tasks, I want to stay on the farm for a few more weeks and I recommend that others come here. Life here is ongoing every day, and sometimes when you go to feed the sheep, you notice that a few new lambs have been born. Here you can watch a different sky every day, and every sunrise and sunset is different and full of charm. And in the evening you can watch the sun go down behind the beautiful mountains of Foça. And I like to look at the beautiful sky here for a long time and I hope you are lucky like me and see a squirrel in the yard of Umit's house or one morning you stop to watch a big rabbit running freely among the green fields. I want to come back here again.Thanks a lot Umit.

The first thing to mention should be that Marcelo is a very generous person. He opens his house to workaways, friends and stray souls and asks very little in exchange. He's curious about the world and loves to discuss almost any topic, but he's also respectful of people's times and their need for privacy. He is also open for suggestions and improvements, and was always happy to support me when I came up with an idea for a task, a small repair or some personal project. As a workaway I helped with assorted tasks outside of the house, like feeding the chickens, cat(s) and dog(s), harvesting vegetables, and helping with other random things. Other than that, I played with the dog (Rosa can run after sticks for hours), spent time with the other guests, and had a lot of free time to read and write. We often cooked and ate together. Be aware that even if you're the only workaway, there might be other people in the house, and often visits come for just a day or two. While I stayed there, smoking was allowed in the house, but you can discuss your needs with Marcelo and the other people there. Make sure also to talk about any other needs you have, as well as about common tasks. There is a lot of flexibility and a lot of room to suggest things. The house is located 6km from the nearest village, so if you feel like moving around a lot, it might be convenient to have your own vehicle. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting his place. You will have the best experience if you approach it with an open mind and a willingness to share a moment of your life with other people.

We stayed for 9 days at beautiful place and certainly would’ve stayed longer if it wasn’t for our appointment in Taichung. Sam, Mike and Andrew made us feel very welcome, we had very personal deep talks, a lot of fun at the Halloween event we were fortunate enough to have witnessed, and just generally a fantastic time around these beautiful people. The property is terrific: the architecture of the main building with its floor to ceiling windows, the nature it’s nestled in, the duck pond with its lotus flowers, the music building…Winderwood is pure magic. Everything is well organised and every day you could choose different tasks: We dug a hole for a pond, levelled out the surface with soil and collected rocks for decoration. For the Halloween event we brushed the pathways, and added decoration: drew eyes on trees, put up the tent of horror etc, drew symbols everywhere with magic ink for a treasure hunt. And of course we fed the ducks! We took turns to prepare meals and the food was always really good and everyone really made an effort to cater us as vegans as well. We can recommend this place (and these guys!) 100%, especially when you’re into escape room and treasure hunt games!

Clothilde was very relaxed and easygoing and a hard worker! She showed a real appreciation for the cabin and for being at our farm, and it was lovely having her stay with us. We had some great conversations and lovely walks together. Clothilde is also a great cook and made us a lovely meal (of which i now have the recipe :) ) The cabin was also left clean and in immaculate condition by her and Fran. It was only a short stay but we got lots done and we would love to have her back one day!

Vanessa came to stay with us during the month of October 2025. She was a very pleasant girl with such a pleasant nature and always a smile on the face. Vanessa was very good with all the animals but especially with the dogs. She loved to take them for walks and did so a lot, even in the her own time. I was very grateful for this. Vanessa also did a bit of cooking in the evenings and we got to sample some Hungarian food. Vanessa made good use of her free time and went to Alicante a couple of times. She always gone on with the ranch duties with a good attitude. She loved to brush the horses and did a little bit of riding on my horse Mirlita. We would love to see her again sometime.

I had a great experience staying with Rita! I stayed for two weeks and helped in the garden. Rita explained everything clearly and made sure I knew what to do. My room was very cozy, and she offered delicious food. She even provided a bike to get to the train station or the city, and kindly gave me car rides when needed. The place is beautiful and peaceful, with a lovely garden full of tasty berries. We also had many interesting conversations where I learned a lot about German culture. Thank you, Rita, for this wonderful experience!

What a fun couple of weeks we had with Moka! An energetic outdoors lady who really made the most of every minute... Whether it was working in the garden, helping in the house, being involved with community groups, experiencing the local hiking trails or relaxing with the cats...she put her heart and soul into it all! We enjoyed long chats on random subjects. We learned about her home area and love for the mountains and truly hope we will meet up in Japan for some new and exciting hikes together! Our cats, Jinx and Dot had a lot of fun with her too as Moka embraced a new hobby, basket weaving and the cats thought chasing the flax leaves was a huge amount of fun!! It was a joy to meet Moka and are grateful for her help. We miss her already and I am sure Jinx and Dot are missing their daily games!

Fabulous time with Saraa. It is a busy apartment with many tourists coming for a night, children coming to learn english and Saraas family and friends pop round daily. It is a lot of fun here. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Saraa is a strong and energetic person. Very busy and full of information. thank you all!

Nomin is really a magical, kind and peaceful person. Her home is a haven and i could have lived there forever. It is so beautiful! Especially the ger. I had an amazing time with her and her family. Marco is so cute. He took a few days to feel comfortable with me, but after this, we played together lots. He is very affectionate. They have become friends for life!

Hannah and Gabe came to stay with my husband and myself during October 2025. Both were extremely helpful and hard working during the time they were here. Gabe was very useful for Peter on occasions and was happy to go off and do stuff for Peter away from the rest of the crew that were staying here at the same time. Hannah was extremely good at thinking out of the box at times which made it easier at times as I didn't have to keep telling her what to do next. She always got on with the job in hand. Hannah was very good with the animals and had a couple of horse rides on my horse called Mirlita. Hannah also took the dogs for walks on occasions. I was very glad to see that on the days off both Hannah and Gabe made use of their time and went visiting Alicante and Benidorm.Very nice couple and would love to see them again sometime.

Mayu is so nice! We highly recommend her! We had a chance to enjoy her good company for almost three weeks. Mayu worked in the garden weeding and picking berries and fruit. Many of the things that he had no previous experience on. She is open-minded and willing to try out new things. She even wanted to cook Finnish dishes such as lohikeitto (salmon soup) and bake Finnish goodies such as korvapuusti (cinnamon roll) and did great job! So good a job that she could be given the Finnish passport for that:D Overall, Mayu cooked great food. We were privileged to enjoy many delicious dishes such as temaki sushi. Mayu has great communications skills, speaking fluently English and French among other languages. Mayu is an extremely kind, polite, nice and friendly person, working very well in a team. She was an important part of our autumn workaway team here. Ots!

We had such an awesome time staying with Neil, Tayler and their son Finn! They were super accommodating, easygoing, and made us feel right at home. Most of the work was painting, which was really chill and enjoyable. The accommodation was lovely and comfy and having an onsen to relax in after work was such a treat! The area is absolutely beautiful with so much to explore, and them providing a car made getting around really easy. Overall, it was an amazing Workaway experience couldn’t recommend it more. Thankyou so much, Tayler and Neil 🤍

Being part of this project was the best way to start my trip in Thailand. My friend and I spent a week there, and we truly felt at home. Not only was the work fun, but we also enjoyed the great conversations and cultural exchange. We had the chance to explore the beautiful town of Pai and discover everything it has to offer. We would definitely stay at Sasha’s place again without hesitation! :)

I came to Laras house with 2 friends. She lives several hundred kilometres from the nearest "town", in what i would describe as a more of a collection of houses. High on a plateau, surrounded by trees, lakes and distant mountain ranges. the landscape is incredible, with ranch land that feels like it's from the wild west. Lara's house was truly homely, and shes more than happy to share it with you. Her kitchen and assortment of cooking devices is something to behold. We ate so well, and our stay was far more comfortable than it should have been for our western adventure. We worked usually for 5 hours a day, although sometimes more or less. Largely DIY and construction type things, but with some time clearing forest for firewood. When we weren't working or eating, we would go fishing in her boat, which she was generous and trusting enough to let us take out on our own, going hunting, watching films, listening to music, or just relaxing around the property. Riding on the quad with 2 passengers and a bluetooth speaker through the forest tracks, or down past the lake at sunset to get beer from the shop is unmissable. Please, if you get the chance to go, do, but also take some guitar strings. Her acoustic needs some new proper gauged strings, the current ones are too light. Make sure you go fishing with her, go for some hikes (which we didn't do nearly enough), and say hi to Brett. To my delight, Lara took her tea collection very seriously. I'll have some photos from the stay on my profile probably if any of you want to get more of an idea for it.

Hi Simonetta : thanks for your host , I had a very wonderful month with you and your family !! you always showing your love to me , let me feel like stay my home,.. for sure very delicious meal for everyone , and teaching me many things about fermentation , we sharing the culture 、food between Taiwan and Italy .. its very good connection for both of us ... I like your gardening so much , especially when we work together in your gardening , you teaching many things I never heard before ..., even I was major in Agriculture. Simonetta is very good and warm host , she has an organic garden, when I stayed there ,we work together ,she taught me how to use the ways to protect land, without chemical , let microorganisms work for us, truly organic … Also she is an expert who knows make good fermented foods, many many of fermentation knowledge, we sharing the difference between Taiwan and Italy how do we make fermented products, it’s a very good culture exchange experience for me …. Gardening is my main work, weeding and pruning ivy with her husband Piero. Every morning, cleaning up their kitchen and living room because they got 4 cats and 2 dogs , always run in whole garden and bring dust back to house… They taught me Italian, during working and having a meal, we have lots fun together.. Beside work , she took me to many medieval towns for visiting , three beaches …it’s a great experience work exchange for me

We stayed in Myoko for 2 weeks and we honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. This was our first Workaway experience and we had the most amazing time. We were mainly renovating their ski lodge ready for the winter season which involved a lot of painting and it was super rewarding to see it come together. Tayler and Neil are the most welcoming, lovely people and their son Finn is so much fun. They have such a wonderful community in Myoko and you instantly feel part of the family. They are super laid back, generous and flexible and the work is one day on and one day off, giving you plenty of time to explore. We enjoyed BBQ’s, a poker night, board games, movies and loads of other fun stuff with the other Workawayers, including a hike and day trips around the local area. Couldn’t recommend this place more (so much so we are going back again!).

At the end of October, I had a wonderful time looking after Lykke and Lilla. It was also a pleasure to meet Sylvia, who showed me everything over the first two days: the dogs' daily routines and where I could walk them. I was kindly offered the opportunity to spend two weeks in the family's apartment in a small town on the Baltic Sea. Lykke and Lilla always make sure you know you're not alone; they're super cuddly and friendly, but they’re also full of energy and need lots of movement. My previous experience with dogs was definitely an advantage at times. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations with Sylvia during shared meals and walks, and I can highly recommend this Workaway experience. Thank you!! :)

Lili stayed with us for 4 weeks and left today. We miss her so much already. She is an amazing person, always happy , joyful and chatty. Our Kids will really miss her so much, especially Paddy our 4yrs old. Lili really kept him entertained with baking buns, cookies, biscuits or her amazing apple crumble pie. She brought him on walks and adventures, played puzzles and pretend play with all his toys and tractors. She always asked me ' what would you like me to do next', she was always willing to help out around the house, ie hanging out clothes, folding, vacuuming, doing dinner. Amy & Micheál will miss her card playing and youtube videos and giggles. Her month went by too fast and we hope to meet again in the future. Safe flight home back to Sydney.

I stayed at their house for about a month and a half. During that time, I experienced so much of Finnish culture and had many chances to enjoy the nature of Lapland. They were always kind and caring, and thanks to them I had an amazing time there. Thank you again for giving me such a precious experience. I’m truly glad that I could become a part of their wonderful family.
