Hi! We are Julie (27F) and Harry (26M), a mellow couple on a yearlong journey from Ireland to Australia and all the little places in between. We met in college in 2021 and have been together ever since. We were living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado when we decided to quit our jobs to go backpacking because we figured we would never have the opportunity to do this kind of trip again in our lives.

We love to travel, hike, cook, and learn about other people and cultures. We have been backpacking through Europe on a shoestring budget, and are looking to break away from the typical hostel scene and rustle and bustle of city life, which is why we are here on Workaway.

I am Julie. I am 27 y.o., turning 28 in November. I am from Ireland and I am passionate and knowledgable about my home country's culture (I am even fluent in traditional Irish language, called Gaeilge!) I love to read and sing, but sometimes I need a few glasses of wine to build up my courage to sing in front of new people. I am very competitive and a fast learner! I would be interested in learning new skills to help any potential hosts around their homes, in their kitchen, with their pets or family, or in their creative process. I am a great listener and have a friendly personality. I love sitting by nice fires, sailing on sunny days, and good fantasy books.

I am Harry! I am from Massachusetts, USA. I am a curious lifelong learner eager to learn more about other cultures and people. I don't need a lot of stuff to be happy and absolutely love the fact that myself and Julie are currently living out of one bag each right now. I love to be outside at all times - morning, noon, night no matter the temperature. There's nothing better than waking up and drinking a coffee outside as well as sitting out by a campfire at night. I love working with my hands and figuring out how every and any mechanism works. I owned a 2004 Toyota truck when we lived in Colorado and I was always working on it either repairing or trying to upgrade it. Outside of that I love writing poetry, reading, and cooking. I would be super excited to help out around a property either indoor work or outdoor cleaning up, gardening, landscaping etc.. Put me to work!

Cooking, cleaning, gardening, plant care, animal care, DIY projects around the property (painting, hanging shelves, minor carpentry), moving things, we're both curious and fast learners and both have engineering and business degrees so can help with anything from designing solutions to helping with budgeting and accounting.
