The location was great, and I often took walks in the park next to the house. I cooked Japanese food for the family and helped with simple cleaning and organizing. I had plenty of free time, and they were very kind and flexible when I had plans. The family was so nice and interested in Japan. After my language school started, Bernd gave me a ride to the station, which really helped. It was my first Workaway experience, and I enjoyed it more than I expected. Sharon was easy to talk to and always listened to my English carefully. The last lunch together was unforgettable. I had a wonderful time in Vancouver. Thank you so much! Rico

This was such a wonderful, memorable experience that my partner and I will remember forever. Memo and his team were so welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. The students were so lovely to work with and we wish we had more time to befriend them even more than we did. Memo even took us out for a hike on the weekend to show us his beautiful country! Highly recommend.

I feel really lucky to have met Elena and Francesco when I needed someone I could trust to dog and house sit. They’re a very mature, experienced and responsible couple and they delivered above and beyond my expectations. Of course the dogs adored them, but I couldn’t help “adoring” them too 💖. I found them both to be resourceful, proactive, hard working and easy going. They’re also great company and I’m grateful for their insights and wisdom. Happily we’ve come to consider each other friends and I’m looking forward to welcoming them back anytime

Well Emanuelle was a great volunteer! She is really funny, creative and talented. At home she was a really good room mate and at the workshop where the volunteer took place not only she delivered what we asked her but she also gave us lot of cool creative ideas, so it was super refreshing to have her, and her amazing energy, with us. And we really miss her ❤️

This experience was amazing,all tasks that i give Leo are done efficient and quick,he is a very good human being that cares for others .Did not expect such a diverse human .We done even beyond regular tasks. If you host him you will not have problem of any kind ,if somethings pops up i am sure that you will be compensated in very good maner.he also has very good maners towards others .He also love adventures so be prepared ;)

I want to share our sincerest thanks and gratitude to this beautiful family! We as a family of 3 had the best time we possibly could of imagined for our first workaway! We loved every minute with this absolutely wonderful family! They were so welcoming, relaxed, positive, open minded and genuinely such lovely people!! The children are absolutely wonderful, so openheatred and welcoming to us all in their home, sharing all they have ! Such beautiful characters all the family have with amazing energy who have such creative spirits! We loved speaking Spanglish together and helping each other learn each other's language, culture, sharing food , creative ideas and dreams! I absolutely loved this family's precious garden and thoroughly enjoyed time helping with the garden while the children enjoyed caring for the animals, playing with the children in this family, exploring such a beautiful area and being within this fabulous community with people who are so kind and open hearted! If you love walking, exploring and eating pomegranates and great quality olive oil... Hinojares will inspire you! Such a truly magical place and we truly hope to keep incontact as friends and hope to visit again in the future as we loved our time and precious memories with this truly beautiful family!

The place of Vittorio is very beautiful :) Vittorio is a very kind person who is always smiling and being positive, fun also and who take a lot care of the cactus ! I just stayed a few days there but it was a very nice vibe, you feel at home, and it's very nice watching the sea at the morning and listening the sound of the wave at the evening. The house itself is very old and full of mysterious object coming from everywhere ! Of course, more company with the little dogs and the soo adorable cats and kitten ✨ Sometimes some people come by and it's nice to meet everyone, thanks especially to Pre, it was so beautiful to meet you 🥰 The work is not hard and Vittorio try to adapt to what you like to do as well :) Thank you Vittorio and Ciao ✨ hope to come back again !

Pasé un mes con Marie y Marcos, y fue una experiencia absolutamente maravillosa. El ambiente es a la vez muy diferente y profundamente reconfortante. Los alrededores son preciosos, llenos de belleza y de lugares por descubrir. Si te gustan los animales, este lugar es un verdadero paraíso: siempre estás rodeado de su ternura y alegría. La hospitalidad de Marie y Marcos es excepcional : te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Hannah stayed almost 3 weeks at the farm and it was a pleasure to host her. She is very honest, respectful, responsable and easy going person. The communication was so easy with her. She adapted quickley to the farm, to the animals. Especially to the horses. She helped for weeding, planting, moving the irrigation hoses, walking with the dogs or cleaning etc.. I miss the conversations we had every day at meals.. Thank you for everything and you are always welcome to the farm.

Tom is an extremely skilled, super chilled, very cool guy. We were lucky to have him and you will be too. He did an amazing job on our a roof that we haven't been able to fix for a very long time and improved our very complicated flooring. We will always be grateful.

I had an amazing time at Pora! Owners & siblings Maria and Alex are amazing people who's unlimited energy and enthusiasm is very inspiring, and their love for Pora is very contageous. The island (Chacahua) is pure magic and being able to see the sunrise and sunset at the beach every day is truly healing. We were there mostly before the place opened, reconstructing what the hurricane destroyed a couple of months ago. Besides that, a lot of gardening (cutting the plants who'd grown loads after the rainy season and carrying wheelbarrows from one side to the other). We made the place ready for opening, general cleaning and fixing things. We were there for the first guests, and volunteers open in the morning, make breakfast if guests want it (it's not free), and bar shift at night. I would like to come back to see it with guests and all, but have enjoyed my experience with this team immensely. Pora is a 40 minute walk from the town's centre, where the shops and restaurants and the surfing are. Colectivo takes you there for 20 pesos, but last one goes at 17:00. In the walks home I've seen multiple turtles and there's bioluminescence that sparks up around your feet in the sand. The tipee's are very comfortable, with a nice matress&pillow, a fan, 2 plugs to charge devices, a cosy light, a broom for the sand and hangers for your clothes. At full capacity, I think volunteers share a tipee or tent/yurt. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was unlimited coffee for volunteers all day. The breakfasts are all delicious and volunteers get 50% off. We didn't have a washing machine but they do now! I think there is one day a week that volunteers can wash their clothes. Doggies Cosmo and Maya brighten up your day. Steffi, Alex and Maria are amazing people and I recommend everyone to join the Pora team!

Hi Blanca, Oswaldo and Zoe, my experience was splendid. All the family is very pleasant, house is nice, so is the room for volunteers. Work at the veg farm is very ok, too. Also lunches were tasty. All the best for the family, Josef PS The cats are cute ;)

My month with Mandi and Craig, helping Everybody is a treasure, by far one of the most profound and beautiful experiences of my life. It was a year ago (so sorry for the late feedback by the way, life got crazy!!), but I can say that since then, I've been carrying it with me wherever I go and in whatever I do. I cherish the memories, and everything I've got the chance to help with, and the skills and knowledge acquired as well. And I definitely kept the kids I encountered in my heart, and the amazing adults too. Gritty and Isla too, the furry balls of joy, obviously! I started with a wonderful week of ecotherapy, such a gift, really. Then got to help with the activities organized with and for the kids in nature. I also helped with some everyday chores in the house. Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a special month, in the best way possible. It was a very inspiring and unforgettable volunteering experience and I definitely wish I could have stayed longer. What Mandi and Craig are doing is so needed in our society, and I dream of this existing everywhere on this planet, it's changing the world for the better! ♥

I have been for two weeks with Alison and Nick and I regret not to have been able to stay longer. The are a model for entrepreneurs, having built up with a great effort and constant work their own hospitality company. Everything has been made with care, love for detail and good taste. They have complementary abilities and a remarkable interest for the work well done. The accommodation for the workaway is in one of the gites in the house. It’s a "de luxe" place, with your own sitting room, bedroom and bathroom, one of the best in my many experiences as a workaway. You have all the amenities in your own space. We shared many good conversations and tasty food around the table. The work I did consisted mainly in painting the windows, cutting wood and preparing the garden and the orchard for the winter. I enjoyed very much the possibility to drive the quad they have to transport wood or weeds to the bonfire. I appreciated working with all the animals they have in their home. The horses, Tiago and Pimms are in a field next to the house. When Alison went to England I helped with their feeding and some medical treatments. The dogs, Ruby and Wilma are full of energy and I enjoyed very much walking with them in the forest or the path next to the stream. Many times, when I was working in the garden, they were around me, keeping me company and chasing each other. The cat, Possum, lived a more independent life, but she liked to came next to me when I was taking breakfast, lie down and being caressed. The landscape next to the house is very beautiful, ideal for riding a bicycle and Alison and Nick can provide you with one. Not far it’s Auvillar, a remarkably nice village and from Valence d’Agen you have the possibility to take the train to visit Agen, Moissac or even Toulouse, in the weekend. Thank you, Alison and Nick for these great days chez vous et à la prochain, j’espère.

Joe est resté une semaine chez nous et a été formidable : il s'est vraiment très bien adapté à notre mode de vie et aux tâches qu'on lui demandait au quotidien. Il était très flexible, toujours calme et volontaire. Ce fut vraiment un plaisir de l'avoir à la maison et de discuter avec lui : il nous a beaucoup aidé. Les tâches étaient physiques et les horaires parfois pénibles mais il a été d'une flexibilité remarquable. Nous ne pouvons que le recommander vivement et nous espérons qu'il aura encore envie de revenir en France pour perfectionner son français qui est déjà incroyablement bon.

Nathalie stayed with me four days and in that time helped with outdoor work collecting apples and also did a deep clean of the kitchen. She worked without supervision, and was a hard worker! Nathalie is good company, chatty and is comfortable with English. I would highly recommend her as a Workawayer.

Thank you so much for staying three weeks. From harvesting olives and picking vegetables in the garden ,cutting down trees , drive me the around city —I got to experience so many things for the first time in my life. olive factory is the most exciting spot because making olive oli from olive and fresh olive oil color is so beautiful green and I love the smell of fresh olive oil. Living a lifestyle where everything comes from your own land feels so healthy and fulfilling. ユーリ (sorry I'm not sure the spell ), the dog they take care of, is so cute and friendly.

Jen is one of those rare gems, kind, hardworking, and an absolute joy to have around. She’s a traveller we’ll always remember, and it was sad to see her head off on her next adventure. Any host would be lucky to have her!

Maren and Sabrina are long time friends , compliment each other and work best as a team. They are diligent , organized and get the job done in a timely manner . They were a pleasure to have around and fit well with our family , yet were also independent . These girls did many garden/farm chores but most impressive was they loaded, split and stacked 5 cords of firewood! I would recommend these two.
