Thank you Frank to have welcomed us. We were so happy and proud to be part of such a great, essential and vibrant project. It s not just about trees but about human and create a place where everyone could find its. If you re looking for adventure, if you love beautiful landscapes, if you keen to do something useful in a perfect atmosphere then go for it. We came here with our 4 y.o daughter and everybody was nice with us and her ! We had a great accommodation and we worked with a good team for the olives harvest ! Special thanks to Joep also who was the "field manager" with whom we had a lot of fun and Fynn for his incredible dinners !

what a place!! this was our first workaway experience and we felt right at home and comfortable in the space of this hostel. I swear the extension rate of both guests and volunteers is almost 100%!! everyone falls in love with this place and the community vibe it offers. the shifts are done a week ahead so you can plan days off easily, the duties for the shifts are clear and understandable and if you're needing any help theres always plenty of volunteers around or the manager Ryan, to ask for a hand. not too much of a cultural exchange, this hostel has more travellers/tourists come through than locals, although there a couple local workers who come throughout the week who are very kind and open hearted, ready to make a connection with and practice your spanish if thats what you're looking for. the sunsets are gorgeous and sunset surfs are generally where you'll find the hostel turns into family, with everyone out either surfing or watching. if we pass back through El Salvador, we would most likely go back and volunteer here again we loved our time there thank you to everyone who made it memorable

Staying with Kiko and Audrey was a magical experience that exceeded all the expectations. They made us feel like we were all one big family. It was a pleasure helping them with the tasks and hanging out with their children and pets. We had enough time and freedom to explore the beautiful island of Mallorca, dive deep into the local culture and lifestyle. Kiko taught us how to make Mallorquin food and helped us practice spanish a lot. The house itself is a mediterranean dream located in a peaceful area with a huge garden. We're very grateful for this experience and have nothing negative to say. Hoping to come back in near future! Niko and Tata

Werka and Kamil have been one of our top 10 volunteers over the years. From day one, we knew they were outstanding. They carried out the assigned work with great professionalism. They are punctual, curious, funny, great sense of humor, intelligent, and they put their tools away in their places ;). There is no work they cannot do. They complement each other perfectly. Working with this couple is pure pleasure. We look forward to seeing you any time, day or night :)

I had a wonderful time supporting the camp. Hayley and her family welcomes you really warmly and is always helpful. In the short time I already got a home feeling. It was really peaceful and nice to be surrounded by loving people like this. I hope I made their lives a little easier with helping out on simple tasks with the camp, guests and surf lessons! Pumula itself is also super nice and calm. Can’t complain about the beaches and waves. There’s a good chance some dolphins are passing by while paddling out. 🐬🌊 I’m sure one day I will come back. I had a really great experience staying with Margaux, Laure, and their two lovely dogs, Lou and Leica. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and the food was always delicious! I truly appreciated their sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle. The working hours were fair, communication was easy, and the tasks were reasonable — I helped with some construction projects together with Margaux and Laure, as well as gardening and work in their forest. There’s plenty of free time to enjoy walks in the beautiful countryside, and on clear days you can even see the Pyrenees. Margaux and Laure do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable and enriching — giving great recommendations for hikes and activities, and even offering rides to the train station or nearby places. We also did some fun things together, like walking the dogs, going on outings, watching series, and playing games. And finally, I have to mention the dogs — both absolutely adorable and such a joy to spend time with. I fell in love with them right away!

Denise was a star! She stayed with us for 3 weeks and helped with a variety of jobs around the land. She is a good team player and a great cook. She enjoyed cooking with vegetables from the garden and was happy to adapt recipes to suit this. We enjoyed her company while working and on days out. I'm sure we will see her again! Thanks Denise

Freja is a fantastic person, I hosted her for about 3 weeks and we worked well in the garden and she also made a beautiful mural in the house, her calm is her strength but at the same time She has great energy ,I really appreciated her desire to learn and doesn't hold back if she has to get herself dirty. In short, she's the perfect guest !. I hope to meet you again one day. Ciao frejaaaaaaaa!

I had a wonderful first Workaway experience working with Matt! He is very communicative, answered any questions I had, and gave me good recommendations to local places. I enjoyed visiting Belle Isle and watching the sunsets and night life. The apartment was modest and comfortable, and the community there was super friendly! Everyone greeted me with a smile and hello. Esteban is a very sweet cat, I miss spending time with him. I hope I have the opportunity to stay there again!

We joined Jim and Tara for a week to build compost bins and do general gardening and housework.. and what can I say - it was a blast. Tara and Jim are very kind, attentive and really easy to work with. The communication with Tara as well as the overview of the profile is very transparent and accurate. We feel like - even though we only stayed for one week - we could learn so much about circular economy and the government and community of corozal. Tara and Jim were always helpful and left no question unanswered. So all that is left is to say thank you, Tara and Jim, for the awesome time.

Nous avons séjourné chez JP pendant un mois en septembre 2025. JP s’est immédiatement montré accueillant. Il a su nous accorder rapidement sa confiance pour le travail à effectuer, ce qui était très valorisant et motivant. En effet, il nous prêtait sa voiture pour aller à l’écolodge et nous laissait proposer nos idées sur les projets, ce qui nous a vraiment poussés à nous impliquer au maximum. La répartition entre les journées de travail et de repos était bien faite et s’adaptait à l’emploi du temps de JP. Ainsi, nous avons pu profiter et découvrir cette magnifique île. Le logement est impeccable, très bien équipé et permet d’avoir un espace à soi, tout en conservant son intimité. Tout est accessible à pied ou à vélo, que JP nous a gentiment prêté. Il nous a également donné de nombreuses astuces pour profiter pleinement de nos jours de repos. Cette expérience nous a aussi permis de rencontrer des personnes fantastiques venues des quatre coins du monde, favorisant ainsi de véritables échanges culturels et linguistiques. Un grand merci à toi, JP, pour cette belle expérience. En espérant te revoir dans le futur, Lou et Raphaël We stayed with JP for one month in September 2025. From the very beginning, JP was incredibly welcoming. He quickly trusted us with the work to be done, which was both motivating and rewarding. He even lent us his car to go to the eco-lodge and encouraged us to share our ideas for the projects, which really pushed us to get fully involved. The balance between work days and days off was well organized and adapted to JP’s schedule. This allowed us to enjoy and explore this beautiful island. The accommodation is spotless, very well equipped, and offers plenty of privacy and personal space. Everything is within walking or biking distance, and JP kindly lent us bikes. He also gave us lots of great tips to make the most of our free time. This experience also gave us the chance to meet amazing people from all over the world, creating a real cultural and linguistic exchange. Rodrigo (Loligo) is such a wonderful person that if I didn't stay with him, NYC would not have been the same. We initially planned for me to stay for 10 days, but I ended up staying for 4 weeks. We made music and saw plenty of places and attractions in NYC together. He's such a lively, goofy and warm person to be around, but he is also very self-aware and respectful of your own plans and boundaries to make you comfortable in his space. As a New Yorker, he's still very open to learning about NYC and events from his guests and re-exploring known places in NYC with them. He is also an amazing photographer so take adventage of that!!! haha. Loved staying with him and I am sure it will not be the last time :)) Only good words to say about Rodrigo.

Can't say enough good things about my time w/ Daniel. Always felt comfortable, safe, and clearly communicated to. His boat was exactly as described and the time spent had clear expectations. He was very generous with his sailing/boating knowledge and never made a question feel silly. The space was clean & spacious. I recommend it to anyone!

Marie stayed with us for a week and was really happy working away at the weeds in the peacefulness of the forest on her own. We felt a bit sad that it turned out there was no one else staying here to overlap with her but she didn't seem to mind. She was great to host and I can recommend to any host. Every now and then someone passes through ones life and enriches it enormously. Such a joy to host Marta. She is a great person, clean and tidy, good worker, kind, happy, thorough, willing, conscientious, reliable and shows great initiative. Thank you so much Marta. We wish you well on your discovery journey and we would love to see you back here someday.

Mischak and Emma were the main growers in our organic garden from March to August 2025, and what an incredible job they did! With their experience in permaculture and their genuine love for the land, they turned Marina’s field into a thriving, beautiful garden full of life and good energy. They worked with so much care, creativity and heart. Beyond their amazing work, they’re just wonderful people, kind, thoughtful and a real joy to have around. We feel very lucky to have shared this time with them and wish them all the best as they create their own growing space in South Africa. They’ll bring the same warmth and dedication wherever they go.

Hurly is incredible! He is a very welcoming and warm person, and he is also a very good cook. He even picked me up by car from the bus stop to make it easier for me to walk in the cold November weather! Thank you so much for that. He is also very interesting and knows a lot about many things, while being funny and a good listener. You can talk for hours with him and learn a lot! Finally, his apartment is very well located (5 minutes from the bus stop) and the room offers everything you need to settle in comfortably. I highly recommend his company to anyone visiting Toronto!

Gohar is a great volunteer. She's a great communicator and we never had any issues thought her stay. She was responsible for clearing up the garden and she did great. She's also a great cook!

The workaway experience at Nicco’s place was really nice. too bad there wasn’t much harvest this year, so we didn’t work a lot.🌸🌸🫒🫒 Thanks also for the delicious meals!🍘🍝🍲 The place is very clean, peaceful, and Nicco is truly lovely.
